The mixing does not make sense, since HCG is dry and is measured in IUs and bacteriostatic water is measured in mililiters (ml). Its apples and oranges, so to speak.

If you don't know the amount of HCG and of the water, then you will need to ask your doctor what dose you are taking in IUs.
This is a formula that can be used to check math when figuring dose according to amounts of each component:
    https://hcgdietinfo.com/formula-calculate-hcg-dose/

Changing your dose daily will not lead you to the right answer. HCG overlaps itself and it takes 3 days for a dose to become effective. Instead of changing dose tomorrow, skip your dose. That will at least tell you whether you need more or less. If you need less, your hunger will resolve by late afternoon to early evening. If you need more, it will get worse about that time.

    Happy Sunday!

I have been very ill but today I am so much better. I am coming back now from my Planned Interruption. I am grateful to be on the mend.

How is everyone doing? I will read back. Thank you Leez for having this thread.

Journey, my advice would be to really drill down on what the dose is. The wrong dose can lead to discomfort and poor losses.

    Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

    Good Morning!

I feel the hHCG because wow am I freezing. Yesterday I hurt my back cleaning the kitchen cabinets. I always knew housework was dangerous ha ha. Today I will baby my back. I am not down anything (ok, .2 lbs), but did a load so happy to not be up!

Leez, I love what you said about holding a drink of bubbly water with a lime wedge to avoid the food pushers! "I have my drink, I'm good". Because I can't keep complaining of stomach trouble...have to alternate my excuses ha ha.

I am hopeful of a big drop or any drop tomorrow!

    Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone, I have been gone for a couple days but have stayed on protocol it is vlcd 12 and I am down 7 pounds. I have been losing every day and just know it is going to slow down soon, not looking forward to that. I also have been freezing! I know from this site that means the hcg is working. What has been helping me this round is making different recipes from this site and the hcgchica site. What a game changer from the boring things I was always eating. I have 8 pounds to go!

Great report, looks like you are on track so far. I salute all who take on HCG in the winter. That freezing thing is a challenge!

I have never run cold in my life and I am almost to the point of wanting to wear my coat in the office. Crazy!

Update regarding office holiday party temptations over the weekend: in addition to my 2 meals, I had 1 piece of tenderloin, shrimp cocktail and a couple tequila sodas. I lost 3 more pounds over the weekend, so my body really wanted the extra calories! I still am lifting weights since I lift 2 x’s per week so I think this is why I am losing for now despite the extra calories. I have cut way down on cardio (was at 5 x’s/ week) but cannot give up lifting. I know this may result in some stalls down the road but I accept the trade off to maintain my streak of 5 years of consistent lifting and the lower back pain benefits.

Hi everyone! Iím jumping in here! My first VLCD was last Wednesday, 1/8. Iím having a bit of a hard time this round....not losing a single ounce since Saturday. Three whole days with the scale saying the exact same thing! Iíve never had this happen to me in the first week! Iím having to take steroids because I have a benign neoplasm on my larynx that they are trying to shrink. Iím really hoping the steroids are the cause of this and eventually there will be a big whoosh on the scale. I donít want to give up!! Please help me to keep from getting discouraged! Hi Rissa,

The steroids could indeed be the culprit. It is unfortunate that you are taking them simultaneously with your round. They can cause water retention and other problems that would interfere. You can go ahead and tough it out, but you may not get the results you are looking for. If the steroids are only for a short course, it might be wise long term to stop and try again when you are off the steroids for a while and your body is back to normal.

A normal rate of loss for week 1 is 7-11 pounds. How much have you actually lost (from your weight the morning of VLCD 1)?

It may be that you are ok. Here is a quote from Grammy when asked about prednisone (would also apply to other glucocorticoids):

. Some notice more hunger when on prednisone and hcg, though I didn't have that effect the one round I was on it. My losses were exactly the same too.
Here is the thread that quote is from:
Effect of Prednisone while on HCG

There are other testimonies in that topic of those that didn't fare so well.

Good day, fellow Hopers!...this is not my first rodeo. I am jumping in here as I have not had much success last few times.

I am starting today, first load day, on injections. I read through my notes (after my first injection of .25cc today) in the past .18cc seemed ideal for me, so lowering tomorrow. I have 15lbs to loose. Last round, I barely lost 5lbs, so this time going stricter from what has worked in the past.

I am now 50, peri menopausal. This time, I am going to walk only (last round kept up with my Lagree Pilates class 2-3x a week to keep my strength.) However, I struggled with cheating and think this may have caused it. In September 2019, I did 30 days of Atkins...lost 3 lbs, with no cheating...WTH? I have seen signs of systemic yeast, and think this may be the culprit, so on some supplements right now working with doctor.

Also, about day 4 into last protocol, my eyes got blurry. (Went away once off hcg) Any suggestions on how to prevent that? Have my fleeces ready to go for the coldness that comes, too!
Leez, have any suggestions with systemic yeast? I am highly motivated to loose this time and holding intentions. I am even giving up Diet soda (I know, it’s my only vice along w chocolate.) I want no excuses this time and am tired of this weight.

Welcome MominSoCal... boy I wish I was there right now! I miss the beach.

As for exercise in P2, if you are already used to the Pilates workout, you should be able to continue it, but just walking is perfectly fine too.

Not everyone can lose on ketogenic diets. Especially once menopause hits. The starving of our thyroid and adrenals throws the whole process out of whack, and that can derail the weight loss in programs like Atkins.

As for systemic yeast, I have been seeing testimonies of yeast conditions clear up (and all kinds of other things) when heavy metals are detoxed. You might check into Coseva TRS (toxin removal system) Unlike conventional chelation protocols, cliniptilolite zeolite is a non-dangerous way to remove toxins from your system that was developed by a NASA scientist. Its pricey, but worth it if it works for you.

Happy Tuesday! Vanessa, I know what you mean about working out/lifting. I continue to do circuit training three times a week when on hcg. It took me years to actually “like” exercising and am not going to stop while on the protocol, just slow it down. I am also afraid of losing muscle, I need to get one of those scales that measures all that. Can anyone recommend a good one?

VLCD 9 and it’s the first day the scale did not move. Arghhh

    Hello hope ers!

My back is really bad but a tiny bit better than yesterday so please excuse any typos...Typing is hard.

I have never been successful on a ketogenic dietí for what itís worth. Probably because I have thyroid issues and probably because I am a woman over 35. The people I know Who have been successful on keto genic tend to be male....

    Lulu Great job!
Vanessa Good luck with the lifting.
Rissa Good luck on the steroids. That seems very hard. If it were me I would really consider stopping this round and doing it after the steroids are over.
MomInSoCal good job giving up diet sodas. Once you read the labels and look at all the chemicals in there you will be happy you did. I have been drinking no calorie flavored bubbly water. I enjoy that for what itís worth.

I had a big yeast issue years ago. My doctor put me on six weeks of the anti-yeast pills taken (I canít remember how many times a week). Fluconozole I think? I also had to swear off all sugar and bread. It worked for me.

I am down 2 pounds today and I am very grateful. Sticking to POP because thatís what works best for me.

    Have a great day!
    RK
