RK: yes, I know in regards to the soda....I too, drink the LaCroix, but I’m hesitant to blow it, so let me know if you try.

Thanks ladies, maybe I will slow it down but continue my Pilates...because yes, I’ve done them for a few years and keeps me tone.

Keto diets, have felt best on these. Once after completing a round on hcg, I went into FMD. fast Metabolisms Diet...it totally screwed me up, and I did felt better on protein days. I think I am seeing that the way my system worked in 30s, 40s....it’s shifting. I’m not menopausal yet, still regular monthlies, but there’s a shift...

Thanks Leez for the link. Will check that out. I’ve done Flucazonole (sp?) before. I was on a two year bender of nightly wine, which packed the lbs on, and frustratingly, I could stop for a month and not loose anything, so I’m really to get back to clean living. I do not think it helped the yeast at all!

Well I got my first week complete this morning and itís a 7 lb loss for week one. I know itís in the 7-11 average for week 1, but itís very frustrating. Only loosing 0.2 the last 4 days of the week. Oh well. In my previous rounds the second week has always been brutal, so I know to expect that. Maybe I wonít step on the scale at all. Yesterday was my last dose of steroids....at least until I go back to the doctor on Feb 10. Fingers crossed that the lbs will start dropping now!

    Good Morning,

MomInSoCal: So Leez thought it was ok to drink La Croix water, and I limit myself to 1 can a day, in the afternoon.

Rissa: SO glad to hear you are done for the moment with the steroids. I am sure you will have a woosh now and really drop. Sometimes after a big drop I have days where I do not lose pounds, but I lose inches and my body kind of adjusts. Are you measuring? That helps me keep my spirits up.

AFM: Down .8 lbs today. With my hurt back I am not walking much so I am pleased with this weight loss.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Glad everyone is doing okay

Day 3 P2 for me and going good so far.. My friend had to have some tests done this week, so she didn't start yet

I am glad that hcg doesn't affect me with coldness, I wish it did lol as I still get hot flashes from time to time.

Rkthin - I must have missed it somewhere...what happened to your back???

JayK - I too am getting the flashes January 2020 Loaders - Holding on to Hope but I do get to experience the coldness and am loving that part! Yesterday was my first hot flash Iíve had since starting p2.

Well yíall I somehow GAINED A FREAKING POUND last night!!! Iím getting so upset. Oh and also? I started my period an entire week early. Why you may ask?? Because obviously my body hates me. Iíd love to just give up and eat an entire pizza and drink a 2 liter of Pepsi for lunch, but as I got fed up and put my hands on my hips, I got to feel my squishy belly rolls and was immediately reminded why Iím doing this.

But MAN! Iím frustrated January 2020 Loaders - Holding on to Hope

HCG can mess with your periods. And that is also why the extra pound. It is just water retention, it will go.

You can skip your dose on your heaviest day if you like, but totally optional.

    Good Morning Hope ers.

Leez, I really love this month's thread title, holding on to hope. I have moments when I am really holding on by my finger nails.

Jayk: You are so lucky that you are not cold. I am layering up!

Rissa: Don't give up! Hold on to Hope! ha ha. You can do this. I have also gone up and had huge stalls. It will pass, and I'm sure you will get a big woosh. Yes I hurt my back cleaning the kitchen cabinets. I was very dumb. I have not had back pain in over a year, and should have stopped at the first sign of an ache, but I kept cleaning. Well, that will teach me. Also, now I am more dedicated to doing my back exercises and stretching.

AFM: Down another .8 and getting close. Back is slightly better. I am living on the massage bed at the gym, and warming up in the dry sauna. Guess this will get me back in the gym habit with this executive workout ha ha.

    Have a great day!

    Best Wishes,
    RK

Rissa-I know that feeling, but focus on the 7 lost! Second Leez input, as I have seen the same if I start during hcg. Fish, spinach, grapefruit meals help me break a plateau...also, have you been at that weight in the past for a while? Seen stalls at “memory” weights...hope that gives you hope.

Jay- are you day 3 total, or day 3 VLC Day? I am on day 3, day 1 VLC day, either way, we have started close together.

RK, yay! I’ll take any oz lost! Thanks for drink update.

AFM, I am hoping the hcg is settling in, as have hard time falling asleep last few nights. Weight jumped after day 1 load, but came down .5lb, after day two load. First day low cal today....sort of tired so took it easy as my body settles in.
I am also setting intentions daily as I prep my shot and remind myself why I am doing this.

Rissa - I am almost through week 2 and it has been tough because I started my period early too... making me so hungry and the scale went up for two days. I am hopeful that the second week is the hardest and it gets easier after this week. Week 3 begins on Saturday.

Wishing everyone a nice end of the week,

    Vanessa

Ok yíall. I havenít lost a single ounce since last Saturday! In fact Iíve gained a pound. So I decided to do an apple day. And let me tell you, if I donít lose something tomorrow morning, well I may just lose my ever loving mind and eat everything I see. This is the heaviest Iíve ever been and thatís including pregnancy so it canít be body memory. Youíd think my body would be dying to get rid of all this weight?! I just donít get it!

Hang in there Rissa! You had an acceptable first week loss, so maybe the good news could be that this stretch will be your big stall for the whole round. Its always frustrating when something (like your period) interrupts the first week losses that are usually really good every day, but just try to roll with it and keep steady.

Yes, hang in there Rissa, you will see a loss very soon! I feel for all of you that have ToM, I had a hysterectomy years ago so don’t have the complications that some of you do. This protocol certainly is not for the weak at heart, especially after the first few weeks. I am on vlcd 12 and would really like to be done, I’m dreaming of Phase 3 foods. Down 9 .5 pounds. What is interesting about this round is that I am eating beef, ground sirloin in different forms, about every other day. Previously, I only allowed myself to eat it once or twice a week. I have lost every time I eat beef. Thought I would slow down the losses by now, but continue to lose except for the days after I work out. We are expecting big snow tonight so I will be in for the weekend, Ill clean and do my puzzle to keep busy. Good luck this weekend, everyone!
