    Happy Friday!

Rissa: Are you sure your dose is right? Leez is the expert on that. Also, how much water have you been drinking? I ask because for me, fatigue and poor losses is a sign my dose is off or my electrolytes are out of whack and Leez has some good fixes for that. Sea salt, for me, also some added magnesium and potassium...especially the magnesium. I also take Vitamin C and a multivitamin. Not so sure if an apple day works well, so if you don't get the results you want please don't be discouraged. The plateau will break.

MomInSoCal: For sleep I use that Calm powder which is magnesium powder in water right before bed time. It helps. My doctor suggested Calcium Magnesium Powder in water with a Thiamin pill for sleep. That works too. I know there is some blog post about sleep fixes in P2 somewhere on the forum. I can't seem to find it but maybe Leez can? Also, I went to a sleep doctor who said 1/2 hour of bright light (you don't need to stare at it directly, like a lightbox or being out in bright sunlight) between 8:30-10:30 AM and low lights 2 hours before bed (yellow or amber glasses help) can make a real difference...

LuLu that is great about the beef!

AFM: no loss today and I was perfectly POP yesterday. I am 1 pound away from a weight I use to be at often, so I am sure that is a part of it. Today I have been resisting temptation right and left. I find weekends very problematic. But I am going to pack my food and really stay POP this weekend.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and focused weekend!

FINALLY!!! The scale finally moved! It wasn’t what I was hoping for, but still a pretty big loss. As for the dosage, I have NO IDEA. I went to a weight loss clinic and they gave me pre-loaded syringes. I assume they did the dose based on my height & weight January 2020 Loaders - Holding on to Hope.

Weekends are always the worst. I have to force myself to keep busy, but I’ve got low energy so I just want to sit & veg on Netflix....which makes me miss mindless snacking. I end up drinking way too much coffee. I did get up and walk 2 miles before the rain started, so hopefully that’ll help keep me going all day.

I was 180.6 this morning. I’d like to be 175 by Wednesday. I’m thinking that’s a pipe dream, but if I don’t set myself small goals each week, I tend to cheat.

Rissa, you can ask the clinic what your dose is. It is good to know in case adjustment is needed at some point.

Not sure this is all that encouraging, but it may help some of you weather your scale visits. Men tend to lose daily on the protocol, around a pound a day. Unfortunately, women have all kinds of hormonal fluctuations that don't affect men, so we tend to lose in fits and starts, and because we have less muscle mass that burns calories faster, our losses tend to average out at .5 pounds a day. Its not unusual to have a drop one day and then go 2-3 days (or more) before there is another one. Its just the way our bodies work. I like to refer back to this little "whoosh" diagram that helps explain what is going on.

Hope you all get a visit from the whoosh fairy soon!

    Good Morning Hope-ers,

Leez, Thank you for the timely tips and woosh diagram. I am down a whopping 0.2 lbs, so yes, it is a stall/plateau/faith building moment. I do notice that my stomach is flatter than it has been in a long time. Yesterday I was POP and had shashimi and green salad for dinner. I am just going to keep chugging forward. I wonder if my achy back is retaining water or if my decreased activity level is impacting, but I have never felt that my previous increased walking did me huge help weight wise, just mentally and a tiny bit better on the weight loss. Oh well, Forward!

    Have a great day everyone.

One of my mantras in P2 has been "trust the process". Even when you don't see things progressing, stuff is happening under the hood. Trusting also helps you relax so that you are not endlessly obsessing over tweaking details of the plan in hope of making it work faster.

Daily walking during P2 is not going to help you lose measurably faster, it is true. The walk mainly helps with sleep. It also benefits elimination through the lymph pumping from your calf muscles, and the internal massage it gives to your digestive system. And a consistent elimination does help with your losses. The mental and relaxation benefits of getting out and walking are a big bonus too.

You don't have to do anything exercise-wise in P2 to be successful, but walking is definitely beneficial.

It is a snowy Saturday, my bf is out blowing the snow and I cleaned the house for two hours to keep my mind of my stomach. I have had a bit more real hunger the past few mornings. I drank my two cups of coffee and just kept drinking water, lots of it. I do not have a problem getting in my water. I was down .4 today and almost to 152 even. My clothes feel much better than at my bloated holiday 161, but I am still not where I want to be at 145. Not sure I will get there because I am only doing 27 days due to leaving for the Mayan Rivera on 2-22. I have learned I need to complete Phase 3 before I go on any vacation. I might do another round in the spring. Have a good weekend everyone, yes, they are tough to get through! Taking my grandson to see Doolittle and I will not put my hand in his popcorn. I have had a few tequilas in the last few weeks though. Luckily, it didn’t seem to bother my losses.

    Hello ladies,
Phew, day 4 was a doozy for me. Today, day 5, felt way better. Think body was settling into the hcg.

I had an epiphany...while surfing the site, came across dosing question and discovered mine was way too high. Corrected on day 4. Thanks, Leez, for confirming because I could barely read let alone think that day. I think this is why I failed last round, last year...( I had wrong dose with wrong mix ratio)

Each day feels like a victory! I am doing this course along with diflucan (antifungal) so I hope to see loses. I, too felt like eating this am...but when I tuned into my body, I felt empty, but not necessarily hungry...and realized I was missing chewing as well, but made it through the day!

I am only a lb under start weight (gained 5 loading) but I can see and feel a lot of the first shed of water weight. I love the whoosh! Good luck tomorrow everyone.

On day 3 today. Really good losses so far and have been very lucky not to have any fatigue or hunger. I'm completing for a 26 day round for phase 2. I'm already identifying that days 9 - 15 will probably be the most challenging but I'm mentally preparing. In previous unsuccessful rounds these days have been the most taxing. P.s. down 3.7kg January 2020 Loaders - Holding on to Hope. How is everyone else doing?

    Good Morning fellow Hopers!

Leez: Thank you for your input about walking and the fat cell diagram. Gosh that was so helpful.

Lulu you are so smart to get through P3 before a vacation! This way you will keep the losses you have. Hope the popcorn stayed away from you! Mint sugarless gum is what I do in movie theaters...Nothing tastes good after that!

MomInSoCal: Wonderful news that you adjusted your dose! Just make a note of it for next round. Now you will really keep losing and feel good! That was a nice drop!

Gastro: Hi and good news on your losses. I don't find the second week as challenging when I am mentally prepared. That 3.7 KG loss is great! That's like 8.2 pounds I think! Wow in 3 days!

AFM: Today my stall broke. After 3 days of no losses and being good the whole time I am down .8 pounds today. Nothing stellar, but at least I am moving in the right direction! Sometimes my losses slow down a bit as I get close to goal...Also good news is that my back is better, so I can resume walking.

    Have a great Monday everyone!

Rk, glad that your stall broke!
I have been experiencing a stall for a few days now, hopefully it will break soon. BF made a roast chicken yesterday, I ate the breast but obviously could not weigh it raw. I think I overate by a few ounces. It was sooo good!I did not eat any popcorn at the show. We saw Doolittle, it was cute.
I am glad the weekend is over, they can be hard. Going to look up some recipes to change things up this week.
    Hang in there everyone
