    twa...welcome

    Gastro...hello, too.

RK, so glad you are up and about

Lulu, at least you didn't eat the skin. That's what divine to me on a roasted chicken!

AFM: Today is day 8, weight went up .2lbs, yesterday I only dropped .5lbs. I was perfectly on protocol and I am acknowledging this as a stall, but am unusually calm at this point. From my preload weight, I am down only 3, but my goal is 15, and I am prepared for the long haul. A spring break trip was cancelled, so this actually gives me the opportunity to take a break and do another round behind it, if necessary. I have suspected some health issues holding me back from weight loss as I have been good on diet and exercise, so I am not shocked nor disappointed yet. Even that 3lbs has made a difference and I'll take anything at this point. I am bound and determined to do this round absolutely POP so that I have nothing to blame, or slow me down.

    Have a great day!

    Hello fellow Hope-ers!

I have some great news for me. I woke up this morning and I was down a whole pound! Gosh I am so happy. I celebrated by going to my gym and getting on the hydromassage bed and doing a seven minute dry sauna. Then I was late for a work call but oh well.

    TWA Welcome back!

Lulu glad you were successful at the movie theater. The chicken sounds great.

MomInSoCal I am sure your stall will break soon.

It’s going to be a challenging couple of days as I have evening plans and sadly dinners out all this week. Then Saturday I am hosting a birthday dinner for my dad who turns 91. I am making a cake but I am going to chew spearmint sugarless gum So I don’t taste. Tonight I am going to a dinner party so I will have some of my own proteins stashed in the car and hope there are some vegetables or a salad without dressing I can eat. I am also going to take Leez’s advice and drink bubbly water with a twist. If anyone asks I will use her line: ”I have my drink I’m all good”. I think that’s brilliant!

Good luck everyone and have a great day.
    RK

Keep warm. It's funny too as we had a really cold spell last week. Hit -30's for a few days and still I was sweating lol

Glad your all doing okay. I am doing good , and lost lbs and inches so far in my first week. Very happy!!!! This is a difficult time for me since summer, but I am managing with an ill husband. I just needed to do this again , as I just haven't found time to read up on other methods to maintain since this all happened to my husband as I had hoped. I am hoping I just make the time - this time to do that

My friend(co-worker) is a week behind me, but doing good so far, and she told me she does not feel hungry other than normal at meal times. So I hope she does well and glad I am with her at work to help and encourage her.

    Good Morning.

Yesterday was a very unexpectedly hard evening. I was suddenly hungry, surrounded by temptation and I could have done better, could have done worse. What I learned for the future is to eat before and chew sugarless gum. I think that will help me moving forward. I am afraid to step on the scale. But I will have an inflammation smoothie and just move forward.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Everybody hang in!

Stuff happens in a round that can temporarily derail you, social things mostly. But you can recover, you just lose a little of your momentum and progress. And if you stray, it doesn't have to snowball in to binge bolivion, because all is not lost with a one-time slip up. Just get right back on and forge ahead.

I found what helped me stay on protocol was just taking it one day at a time. (Sometimes it mght be one hour at a time! ^_^ ) My self-talk was something like: "I can stay on plan today, maybe I'll eat that tomorrow". Or, take whatever is tempting you and freeze it for after you have finished your round. If its something you can enjoy in P3 great, if not, you may find you no longer want it later anyway.

1 lb down today!!! Yesterday, I had the .2 jump, and I just told myself that the empty fat cells were filling up with heavier water, for whooshing!

Yesterday, was an extremely satisfying food day...wild, huh? I had adjusted dose down a bit, again, after being hungry in am. I browsed for food recipes for lunch without any real hunger...tried Braggs Aminos in an orange shrimp recipe. I was pleasantly surprised that it would be a do over. I definitely see more success and satisfaction with mixing it up so I don’t get bored or down. Some meals are a miss, but then there is always the next one!

So my preload weight was 153.5, the morning I started to load. Next day, hit high of 158, and then started dropping. So, do I calculate my loses from beginning weight of 153.5 or high of 158? If it’s the high number, it creates a larger goal number to lose? .....

Exercisers: last rounds I just reduced my schedule down and would have a hard time getting through it. I know there are modified programs and can add in more protein, but this time decide to go full on Dr. S protocol...decided to let my body adjust first week. I’m day 8 and it was fatiguing getting dressed today...I took some potassium, already take salt in am. I do have challenged adrenals and this is why I’ve decided not to exercise (my normal cardio/Pilates schedule) to give everything a break. I am on supplements to support adrenals Any other suggestions for fatigue early on in day?

For purposes of you daily loss average, you count from the weight of the morning of the first VLC day. Buy you can count it however you like.

Happy Wednesday everyone! Just read through the posts and it seems like, as Leez said, life gets in the way. After the first 9 days or so it gets harder, but I applaud you all for forging ahead and using all your strategies to get through social situations. Love the idea of having things in the car and chewing gum. I have my Pur gum all ready but havenít used it yet. I will admit that I can resist most food, but its the wine and tequila I canít. By no means do I have an alcohol problem, but miss my drinks on the weekend. I take the pellets, 4 of them, 3 times a day, they recommend 3 but 4 works for me until now. I have been hungry so I am going to go down to 3 tomorrow. Maybe its because I have lost 11 pounds now. Had a big release the last couple days after my stall.

Keep going all, itís hard but sure is worth it!

Thats awesome you have lost 11 lbs. That alone is a great accomplishment. :

I don't find it hard, and sorry that you do. I actually have to make myself eat sometimes cause I know it's that time of day.

I do agree with Leez though things happen in life, and best you can do is just move forward, and not beat yourself up over it. We all make mistakes and just have to move on.
