Thread: January 2020 Loaders - Holding on to Hope

  1. #73
Thank you so much everyone! This group just helps so much with keeping on track. It's great to hear everyone's tips and tricks....as well as the amazing results January 2020 Loaders - Holding on to Hope. I just completed my protein prep for the next 15 days. I may do longer but I would rather maintain a great loss than push myself to far.

Yes, thank you all for the encouraging words to keep going....I needed it, especially today as I went up .6 today and have been POP????
I am telling myself again, that it’s the fat cells filling up! I probably drank at a minimum 90oz of water yesterday and I don’t feel like I eliminated it. I did not take measurements at the beginning this time (so I did this am for future.) I can see the weight coming off, so that is encouraging, even if scale isn’t moving.
Here’s to POP for us all today!!! Have a great day!!!

Leez- is it normal to have weight go up, when you were on protocol? In the past, I always a cheated a little, so I had something to blame. This time, I want to see how my body responds.

Yesterday, had ground beef patty, with spices (no offenders), cucumbers that were soaked in white vinegar and a tsp of Braggs overnight, and blueberries. After inputting into MyFitnessPal, I choose to skip fruit and crisp to lowered calories to range? Perhaps vinegar?

MominSoCal: I would have some magnesium if it were me. Also, some people have found Electrolyte water helpful. Also, make sure your salt is Seasalt. I would ask Leez again what to do about the fatigue. She has some really good ideas. For what it’s worth I take a multivitamin pill, vitamin C twice a day and magnesium supplements. Also, make sure you are not drinking too much water. I find somehow this diet makes me extra thirsty and I kind of have to watch myself the other way. Too much water can flush out my electrolytes and make me really exhausted. Also, I sometimes go up before a big loss. Also, if I am battling fatigue I would never skip fruit because I need it to feed the adrenals. So perhaps think about having at least one of the fruits a day. But Leez is the real expert.

Lulu: Have you considered skipping two doses and seeing how you feel? That is the best and most accurate way I have found to adjust my dose. If you feel better after skipping two doses you know to go down, if you feel worse than you go up... So wonderful that you have lost 11 pounds! That’s great!

Hi Jayk! How are you doing and how is your husband?

Gastro: I think you have the right idea to not push yourself too far. It is really important to maintain your losses so I think you have got a great strategy in place.

AFM: On my night out Tuesday I must’ve had something that really disagreed with me because yesterday I was up 2 pounds. Today I am down a pound of that but my fingers are still swollen so I know this weight is water and will go away. I have looked at the menu for tonight’s banquet. I have called the restaurant to discuss my meal and they Were very accommodating— Probably only because I am the one who booked the banquet ha ha. They are going to box up my dessert to take home to my very happy family. I feel confident I can make it through today! Have a wonderful day everyone!

    Hi rkthin
My husband has good days, and bad days. We will know more about his progress on February 20 as that's his next appointment with the doctor, so hanging in there until then

That's great the restaurant will accommodate you for your meal. Most places these days seem willing to help out. Hope your day went well

GM, thank you RK for the info. Yes, I watch for too much water as well...I will search for electrolytes. Most I’ve seen in past had sugar in them. As the day progressed yesterday, I realized I had used an ointment for my yeast die off reaction, and taken a liquid multivitamin for first time. So, yesterday I carried on without these. I did drop down today, only .2lb drop from Wednesday.

I am only down 4.9lbs total from my initial start weight. I am day 11. From times past, this is not stellar, but I’ll take it. I planned on only a 23 day round, and only purchased that. Six months ago, I was going to start, and purchased and I still have that, but not sure if it would still be effective? (It’s not mixed yet, but came with vit B12 liquid.) I could buy bac water and mix it up and see how it goes to try and extend to 30 days.
I have been POP. I am very proud of myself. Truly, if the dose is right, there is not a lot of hunger. I am going to just keep going.

Anyone see the email, if you’ve ordered from NuImage Medical, regarding hcg prices likely to increase significantly after March, as the FDA changed the classification of hcg and will effect who can compound it??? Uggggggggg

Had my first stall today. Still sitting at 117.9kg. I know this was due to my 9 hour return trip to get some old clothes(that I will fit) from my storage unit. So definitely struggled today...had a big job family dinner tonight and managed to stop myself. My mum doesn't fully understand the diet but she's been so supportive. I ended up having some scrambled eggs (1 yolk, 4 whites). On day 10 so almost half way there.

Hi all! Water-i try and usually succeed drinking 80-100 oz. a day, that includes teas. I eat a pickle every day so that helps with electrolytes. I did go down to 3 pellets 3 times a day and that helped the hunger. I am stopping tomorrow on day 25, one day earlier than planned. I just am done. I find that I just am tired of it all after 23 days. I didn’t feel that way when I have 50 pounds to do, I did longer rounds without too much of a problem. I wanted to lose 10-15 this round and am at 10 down so I will take it and do a super strict phase 3.

I read so many different opinions on Phase 3. A lot say introduce calories slowly and gradually, but I believe the advice in the files here that say to add those good fats back in as soon as you can. It has worked for me before.

Keep up the good fight, ladies!

I can relate to that. I am at day 21 and am just about mentally over it, myself. I am very happy with the results though, as this has been a successful round. My last dose day is Tuesday. Ready for the next phase.

Gastro..kudos to you, hang in there.

Lulu, Wilson, totally get it...I’m trying to go 30 days for 15lbs, but will play by ear as well.

AFM..I’ve shared my slow loses even with POP. Well, yesterday I decided to go down to the bare minimum of my supplements (although doctor told me they were all ok) and went to just my hydrating cream for face....I dropped 1.4lbs....I so needed this to boost my efforts of staying POP.
As I looked at these salicylic acid pads I use (didn’t yesterday) they have vitamin A in them....I ugggg, I needed to be way more thorough. I am now hopeful for greater movement now....

    HI Everyone!

Glad to read of everyone's progress.

MomInSoCal: I would think about oil free moisturizer like the one by Aveeno for your next round, also oil free foundation.

AFM: After a 1 week plateau of no losses I am down 1.6 pounds today!!!! I am 5.4 pounds away from my goal so I am hopeful that the rest of the weight will come off. Would love to join you guys in P3 sooner, but I want to get this all off!

Take care everyone and have a wonderful day!

My NP gave me a 10,000 iu vial and I ordered a short round so I've been taking 125 ius dose or at least I think so. I'm not used to a 10,000 ius vial, I hope I'm not taking the wrong amount. My needles say 1/2 CC U-100 insulin doses up to 50 units. I go to the 12.5 mark (there's no .5 mark, but I go in between lines). This is what I've always done, am I doing this right? My dose feels off, Normally, I take 120, 125 or 130 in my rounds ...im starving and need to adjust!!!!I'm on vlcd5
