Hey everyone! It sounds like you’re all so committed to the program. Good for you all! How long is everyone doing in P2, or have done in the past? I can’t decide how long I want to go. I’m thinking 28 days is good. We’ll see.

Today I was down 2.9 pounds! I couldn’t believe it. Today I’ve been tired, hungry, and cranky. I would’ve caved normally, but I’m reminding myself that I’m seeing such good numbers; the unpleasant things I’m feeling is ME LOSING WEIGHT. Being a little hungry is nothing compared to how terrible it feels being so overweight/unhealthy. I know we can all do this!!!

Any random tips for a newbie? What’s your favorite meal to fix?

I just do chicken cooked up in a pan, shirataki noodles (half a package), and some veggies, then make broth with water/Italian seasonings, onion powder, garlic powder, Himalayan salt, pepper and turmeric.

My first round I was 260, I lost 30 lbs, I did a 40 day round but decided it's too torturous for me to go past 30 days, so I stuck to 24, 26 or 30 days, I lose the bulk of my weight then, the last 10 days on my 40 days or 12 days I lost like 2 lbs, 28 of it in the 3 weeks, so that is why! So your first round is looking great!

My last round I weighed myself beginning and end only, decided not to obsess (but my first round it was awesome to see the constant losses). I lost 19.5 lbs on that round I didn't weigh myself, so it went just fine.

    -80 pounds!

I keep gaining 20 to 25 of it back, I take off 5 pounds myself and then I do a round and lose 20 lbs. So I have done a total of 7 rounds. I am on my 8th round, taking the SAME 20 lbs off. ugh. But at least I don't gain 80 back!

    zucchini

I am thinking of adding zucchini to this round, I usually am pretty strict to original veggies, original protocol except shirataki noodles I do add, and drink stevia cola once in a blue moon.

I have a stomach condition that reacts to too much veggies like cabbage, onion, etc, it wreaks havoc on my digestion/intestinal system. So I can tolerate zucchini quite well and I love it, I would love to add it and eat 1 per meal with my protein b/c that would fill me up so much.

How has anyone done with zucchini????

Do you have IBS? It sounds like maybe you need to avoid high FODMAP foods? Certain chemical compositions known as short-chain carbohydrates can trigger intestinal distress in those with IBS. I definitely have to pay attention to that. I bet if you try zucchini for 3 days in a row, monitoring the scale and how you feel, and if you don’t have any reactions to it, you might be able to consider it safe for yourself. I definitely think it is ok to do what you need to work with your body. We all want to be POP, but the original protocol couldn’t have accounted for legitimate food sensitivities.

Day 14..down 11.7kg. Had a rocky day today. Another family event with lots of wine and cheese...not to mention deep fried fish and chips. I stayed well away from all the food but definitely struggled. I ended up having some extra grapefruit just to get the cravings under control. My will power is definitely being tested. I'm currently at 115kg and can literally almost fit pants and jeans that have never been worn because I needed to get to my goal weight. I keep reminding myself that it's not worth it...and loss 3 or 4 days of losses if I cheat.

I have a colitis type, so my digestion was in distress all week. I don't want to skip my veggies but mild veggies are what I can tolerate. I would eat asparagus coming out my ears if I could, but I'm allerguc, sadly. I hate cukes so I feel like celery and lettuce and spinach are mild.

Cupcake: I usually hate cucumber except that I love making refrigerator pickles! I soak them in white vinegar, salt, and stevia, and I love them this way. But I have IBS and totally understand struggling with veggies. I stick to cukes, lettuce, and spinach.

I am down another pound! I can’t believe I lost over 6 pounds in less than a week! I’m really hungry today (slept poorly, up early) so I’m hoping to get a nap later. Nothing else to report!

MomInSoCal: I would think about oil free moisturizer like the one by Aveeno for your next round, also oil free foundation.

AFM: After a 1 week plateau of no losses I am down 1.6 pounds today!!!! I am 5.4 pounds away from my goal so I am hopeful that the rest of the weight will come off. Would love to join you guys in P3 sooner, but I want to get this all off!

Take care everyone and have a wonderful day!

Glad to hear you had a loss after a week. I am sure you will get down to your 5.4 pound loss

I will be 3 weeks VLCD on Monday, then will continue one more week. I am happy with my losses so far. I even bought a pair of Lululemon pants. Splurged this time.

I have managed a bit of time to research a bit more what I will do once P4 hits. I am in between following Dr KellyAnn Petrucci bone broth diet, and cleanse and reset, plus the Hormone Fix by Ann Cabeca. They are very similiar , but I plan to use their methods if needed. Also checking out Always Hungry by David Ludwig

I am so glad I am not hungry while on pellets, as I just think in my head I need to snack. Going to be a Busy February with my husband and appointments, and hopefully good news for him.

Good job everyone on your losses, and wish continued success for you all

I hope this group is still going...I'm currently down 13kg at day 17. I'm on the home stretch. My body can tell that I'm almost done, I've been having a few more hunger pangs and cravings. However I'm happy with where I am. This round has been possibly one of the most successful I've done since my original round. I owe a good portioN to this accountably group.

Even though some rounds are wrapping up, this thread can continue on as long as y'all want to keep posting here. We've had a couple monthly loader groups continue on through a good stretch of P4 even.

Congrats to those who are staying strong and finishing up P2, its no small accomplishment! I love hearing the stories of discovering new sizes and other fun things. For me, the most wondrous thing when I got to my goal was feeling like I was finally myself again. That was (and is!) priceless.

I started on Jan 24th, so I'm what (today will be the start of vlcd 10) I have lost 8 lbs, or about 8.5 so far so good! Almost a pound a day (8.5 lbs in 9 days of the diet, plus I had to take off my loading weight, is pretty good). Of course I look like I've dropped 12 lbs at least, shaping up nicely and quickly. This diet always amazes me. I may not hit minus 20 lbs I have no idea, maybe I will, but my goal was at least 14. My worse round was 14 or 15, my best 30.

I always tell myself to make it to 21, if I can make it to that, then I usually go further. I have done 40 days, 30 is in about 3 rounds, and 24 or 26 in other rounds. I usually don't lose past day 25, so that's enough for me. I always stabilize.

I keep gaining 20 to 25 of it back, I take off 5 pounds myself and then I do a round and lose 20 lbs. So I have done a total of 7 rounds. I am on my 8th round, taking the SAME 20 lbs off. ugh. But at least I don't gain 80 back!
