scott, sorry about the no loss day, but your attitude is perfect! and yup, you'll see a drop tomorrow most likely.

kitty, thank you! I'm glad you enjoy my longwinded posts. I'm flattered you read them. I tend to go on and on. and on! sorry about the non-loss today. but yes, it does happen. I had the same weight for three days, as you can see in my siggie, and then, wham, starting dropping fast again. yay.

eva, that's an awesome first week! congrats on the .8 lb loss, too. it all adds up in the end!

I'm feeling really good today! The weight is releasing and I don't have a headache anymore.......

I also purchased a lobster tail. Last time I could not afford it, so I thought I would splurge and try it out. Now reading others have slow downs I'm hesitant to try it. I think I will save it for the end of this round. That is one issue I have about adding new items I've never tried before. P2 is precious, and I don't want to waste one day of not having weight loss. But I realize is might happen even though I follow the protocol to a T, as this did happen to me two times during my first go around.

My good friend called me yesterday and inquired how I was doing. I told her how much I released thus far and she then gasped saying, "I wish I could do that diet, but I just can't." My friend attempted and failed miserably saying she would never try it again. Here is what melted me.... she said that I inspired her to restart the beginning phase of South Beach she was currently doing. She went to say that even though we were not doing the same diet we did have the same dieters struggles and we can support each other in that respect. I love my friend, at first she was not supportive, I wonder what made her change her mind. Oh, who cares right? At least I have someone to count on. : )

Scully I use the THE HCG DIETER GOURMET COOKBOOK by Tammy Skye. I purchased it about six years ago in PDF format. I saw it available on Amazon and she wrote a second one, but the first is enough for me. I love cooking from it. I am a terrible cook by nature and when I use this I feel like a gourmet chef. The food is very tasty. I suppose it does go against the grain by mixing veggies, as pinch of this and that are in almost every recipe, but I didn't find any slow downs from it. The only issue I have is it does not give you calories and I have to compute using myfatsecret.com. If the calories were added it would make things a lot easier and my logging quicker. I had tomato soup for dinner last night and it was great!

I read on some web page that people were treating the tomato as one of their fruit choices. It makes sense to me since it has a greater amount of sugar, but I don't remember having any trouble before.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Looks like I am back on track. Here I come lean mean, healthy eating machine!

Morning. Woke up to no loss today. Talk about depressing... I don't consider the load weight in my loss because I wouldn't have the load weight to begin with if I didn't load. This is so difficult and then to not lose anything. Ok, I'll stop whining. 29 more days of this. 21 more pounds to go to goal. Definitely won't make goal but I hope to get to 135 which is 11 more pounds. Not optimistic.

Hope everyone has a great loss day today!

Awesome Graham! Did you actually stall before you did this? I thought the protocol says when doing an apple day, you don't drink a lot of water? If I'm still the same tomorrow, I'm going to do an apple day.

Good morning everyone! Happy to report a 1.4 lb. release this morning. But of course, you always lose the most on the first few days, but the 2 previous rounds I didn't lose that much in the 1st 2 days, it wasn't until day 3 or 4 that they were bigger. I'm sure soon, I'll have the normal average of .5 lb. releases. I've enjoyed reading the post thus far.

Ginsil - Don't fear the lobster. Honestly, I always have great results with lobster on HCG. Of course it would taste better with butter, but it taste very good with just a little lemon. I always have bigger losses with lobster, and maybe TMI, but it always really cleans me out for whatever reason.

SchlaferMom - Welcome. Glad to have you here. This is a very supportive group, and together we can do this!

Graham - WOW! 3.2 lbs. That is so toally awesome. Maybe I will try an apple day. I've never had a release that BIG!! Congrats!

Shelliboo73 - Don't be discouraged. Just eat the foods that you know work best for you. And drink lots of water! You CAN do this!

    Goal: 120 lbs.
    Start Weight: 136.6
    After Load: 139.0

    Day 1 VLCD: 139.0
    Day 2 VLCD: 136.6 (-2.4)
    Day 3 VLCD: 135.2 (-1.4)

    MOrning all!

    Go Graham! Wohoo!!!!
welcome SchlaferMom! I think we are all past the loading, but jump right in!!
shelliboo-it's so tough to wake up with no loss..that was me yesterday..it sets the mood for the day! argg..tomorrow will be different; I think our body just need a day to catch up sometimes. It's working really hard!
Great loss Tobysmom! The big losses rock, don't they!

AFM; my "stall" yesterday was only for the day fortunatly-down .6 today..I was thinking about the days we don't lose; it just a little break for our bodies..and I think those are the days the inches come off!
    Have a good day all.

kitty, congrats on the loss today. yay! it is nice to see that on the scale. affects our mood so much!

tobysmom, you did awesome, too. wow! 1.4 lbs - yay, you!

shelli, look at it this way. you're down 2.8 lbs so far for week 2 and you have two days left. an average of .5 lbs is about all you can expect, so if you lose another .7 lbs, you will make that easily! the closer we get to goal, the slower the losses. I know it's a bummer to see the scale stall, but it happens. It will move again soon. It always does if we stay on track. and you do have to count the load weight in the average of .5 lbs a day. it's how the diet works. so right now you're down 16 lbs in 12 days! that is FAR above average! and sometimes the body has to catch up with what the scale says. just hang in there. you are doing awesome and fabulous and this is how it should be at this stage. I hung out at the same weight for three days last week!

graham, interesting cause yeah, I read to not drink water on apple day, either. minimal amount. you get your liquid from the apples. but congrats anyway, you rule breaker!

    felicia, welcome!

ginsil, thanks for the cookbook info. I will skip buying it since I only have two weeks, max, left on this diet and hopefully this is the last ever round. but I do appreciate it.

I was up .4 lbs today. I think that was from yesterday's extra protein and I had two small apples instead of one larger apple. I know that's against protocol. I was bad. Ate about 3 oz too much protein, too. Today I am being precisely on plan. This is too tough to stray and make it take longer than it has to.

I have a dreadful headache today. I hope it goes away.

I'm bummed, too, that I'm up .4 lbs. I really wanted a loss. I know, I know. Read my own advice to others. bah. I'd make the perfect doctor. Do as I say, not as I do.

I was trying to put it in perspective this morning, but with a headache, it's really hard to feel perky and happy. But I was thinking about how I felt when I weighed 217 lbs, and how I didn't know how I'd ever get back to my thinner self that I used to be. I remember meeting a woman who had lost 50 lbs and she was about a size 10, and while not skinny, she looked good and I felt so jealous that she'd managed to lose so much weight and I couldn't lose 10 lbs successfully. I weighed far too much for 7 years, and I was really depressed over it. If I had seen a future photo of myself then, when I felt that bad, at my current size, wearing 2's and 4's and weighing 136 lbs, I would have been ecstatic. I don't know why I can't feel 100% pleased with my body right now, even when it's so close to being what I want. All I see is the fat around my middle and my thighs and I think "ugh."

It's so hard. So very hard. At any stage. I think the mental stuff is the worst part of it all, and how we view ourselves.

I need a mental boost. So I'm posting a pic of myself trying on a dress at WHBM. I was feeling ugh that day, tried on this dress and felt better. It's a reminder to myself, and to all of us, if we need it, that just because we feel fat doesn't mean we are. (and if only I could afford $160 to buy this awesome dress!)

Good morning! I had a little loss today, .4 lbs, and I am happy with it, as it's in the right direction. I am not having good luck with output again...darn it... I might have to take some supplements on that angle. Anyone uses anything particular? Oh, and I measured myself in my waist and lost 2 inches....and that makes me SUPER HAPPY! So make sure you measure yourself, after all it's pounds and inches!!!

Tobysmom, congrats...you are doing great...isnt' it a great feeling???

Shelliboo, just stick with it, and keep going and evaluate as you go. Stay positive and measure yourself...you might have lost inches...

Graham, awesome loss on the apple day. I have never done one, but WOW, what a great loss!!

Felicia, good look with the loading.

Kitty, awesome that your stall only lasted a day. I had that happen, too and we just have to keep on going, right?

Scully, I so know about the mind games we play on ourselves, and yes, we may feel fat inside of us, when in reality we are not. You look beautiful in that dress!

Well, have a great day everyone!!!

    Wednesday...

    Hi, all!

I was a little discouraged after aff protocol on Monday. But, I'm down to my pre-rogue weight. Let me tell ya, the Red Lobster bisquits really weren't worth it!!!

Scully- I saw your post and want to congratulate you and your huge success! I've been over 200 lb for a couple of years and have a hard time accepting that fact. I'm 5'8" and hide it really well. but- we know ourselves, don't we? You look wonderful in that dress. Maybe a reward to motivate you for the last few pounds you want to lose?

So, needs some lady advice. When you are approaching TOM and want to naw your arm off... do you have a go to food that is neutral? Like Kale chips or cucumbers.... I know that is not protocol but just asking. Thanks!!
