I will definitely have to think about the protein/healthy fat- I am thinking maybe some of the meats that aren't allowed on phase 1 like salmon or cooking the low fat meats in coconut or olive oil?

My Goals: Break reckless eating habits: sugar craving, over eating, night time eating, and cravings. And (my new years resolution every year) Drink more water!

But above all I promise to remember that nutrition is not a punishment- it is medicine.

It means a healthy fat AND a protein. I personally had problems with phase 3 gains, so I'm not sure I can give you a formula that will work better. But I suspect that it might have something to do with keeping fat levels a little lower when you are including grain or fruits in your meals.

Last injection this morning, down 21.2 pounds in 24 VLCD days. This was a good round for me, even if I did end it with a 4 day stall (that will hopefully break in these last 3 days ). 72 hours left of VLCD (well maybe 68 now lol), going to try to stay strong. I usually break down in the final 24 hours, don't want to do that this time. Time to start planning some P3 meals! (Greek salad I am looking at you!)

I am going to start back up at the gym after my P2 break and I plan on starting probiotics to try to address some gut issues in the glow of P3. Fingers crossed for good stabilization!

It's been a rather shocking 4(!) years since I first joined this forum. I had little success the previous time but I'm hoping for better this time around. And, alas, this time around I am dealing with more weight to lose.

First, I'm using "real" hCG drops, rather than the drops and patches without any hCG. I just got too hungry with those. I would prefer pellets but I couldn't find a reputable seller that shipped overseas. Second, I've been working with a therapist on my PTSD, which is related to my weight gain.

I'm on my 4th day of P2. Not hungry but bored, of course. I'm a vegetarian and am using some egg-white protein in the mix, which is wonderfully filling.

August is looking like an awfully long month!

Hi Cinnamon blue! I jumped the gun and sort of started in August already, but I'm on day 2 so we're very close to each other.

I will say... The biggest thing HCG did for me after my first "roaring success" round 4 years ago was reach me they it was possible. I had never been X height and x weight so I guess I internalized it couldn't happen. Not true. I'm glad you're identifying your mental component of losing weight.

And why I gained it all back isn't some sort of mystery either.

I'm hoping my hunger goes down. Some section of my brain threw a fit at having only 4 scallops last night.

    CHecking-in Ladies!

One week post-emergency surgery (that occurred on day 4 VLCD...not good). However, as I've flushed my body our (pee has been clear since last Monday- phew) I am now down at 212.

I loaded to 126, dropped 5 and then was in the hospital. When I got home after surgery I weighed 227...but I had only been eating cucumbers and light proteins. All the drugs, steroids and fluids really filled me up. This week it's been coming off and I'm now down to 212...and to be honest I had a LOT of cheat this week as I was seeking comfort foods as I was healing. I had shrimp scampi/pasta, wine, tacos and ice cream. So, I feel pretty fortunate to be at this weight today and will continue to stay the course.

I'm hoping you're all doing well and loving yourselves for even attempting this difficult journey.

I can say that despite my surgery and comfort food cheat setback, I am doing things in a more healthful manner. My water intake is insane (I live in AZ so it kinda happens naturally for me). I am eating prepared meals daily (I do a big batch of protein on Sunday: Tukey balls or Ground Beef balls. I have a sensitivity to chicken so I just avoid.) Then I buy cucumbers and eat those with my lunch every day.

Now to nail down my dinners....which is where I struggle. UGH!

P2D13 down 12.4 and 150.0 this morning. I'd like to hit 140 but 145 would be okay, that is where I stayed for a couple years after my first 2 rounds back in 2009.

Wonderful Day, I loved my first week, but second week is not going as well (totally my fault). As it's the last day of July I will just say I am down 12.6 pounds for the month, which is great! VLCD 14. Looking forward to the month of August. Hope everyone has a great month.

You're doing awesome! I always love the first week too. So exciting to see the scale drop so quickly.

Hi guys, i been away from this thread for a bit. But i was continuing on my P2 journey. 3 weeks down and total lost of 12 pounds so far. So happy about the loss even though it might be comparatively low. I tried this diet many many times in the last year and never got past 2 weeks. Always lost well week one and then got careless and quit. Plan is to continue this diet for 2 more weeks and hopefully lose another 5 pounds.

So i'll admit it hasn't been the perfect POP round, i always feel deprived and hungry by the time weekend comes and i used to indulge in sugar and carbs . This round instead of indulging in those i cheated by eating a lot of salad, increased my protein and added avocado. Not advocating this at all, but just sharing what kept me from derailing this round. Usually i would gain 3-4 pounds over the weekend but this time its never been over a pound and that weight came off very quickly. Hope everyone is doing well. Are most of you ready to move on to P3?
