July 2019 Loaders - Diet Buddies Unite!

    Welcome July Loaders!

I hope some of those that started at the end of July will feel free to join as well.

This thread is for you. Strategize, plan, support each other, ask questions, share concerns or just chat...its up to you.

I'll be around to address concerns or questions, but you may also have the benefit of some veterans going through this with you and that's always really helpful. But even if the whole group are first-time HCG users, you'll draw strength from each other. The HCG diet can be a lonely thing, because most people don't understand it and may even discourage you. It helps to have people you can lean on who are going through this with you.

Hop in whenever you are ready to start posting and good luck with your round!

    It's quiet in here.

Hi Leez! I'm back for another round. Really let myself go over the last year after getting laid off and falling into a bad depression. I'm going to load either this weekend or next. It's good to be back and good to see you!
How are you doing? In a round or maintaining?

Hey Natalie, welcome back. Sorry its for a do-over round, but life does happen. Its hard to stay positive when your circumstances take a nosedive like that. But hopefully things are looking up for you now.

I'm working with a new functional medicine doc now and right now we are concentrating on gut healing and detox. My last labs were very encouraging--except for a pesky reverse T3 problem. But that is fixable. Weight wise, I'm about where I was last year at this time, about 10 over where I'd like to be (my dream is to stay at 130 comfortably), but being stable does bring a lot of peace. Its when you can't seem to stop the incremental little scale creeps that life becomes stressful.

I know you'll have a great round, you have the determination and up-beat attitude that it takes.

Thanks, Leez! I'm glad to hear you're getting the help you need and I hope that it all works out for you.

VLCD1 today and I know the next few days are the roughest. Planning on drinking plenty of water and staying on original protocol.

Yes, first few days are a bit rough, I agree.

I don't know if your withdrawal symptoms include anxiety, but if they do, I have found that GABA supplement (Gamma-Aminobutyric acid) can be a very effective at calming those feelings (which can be physical too, like racing heart). Its safe and a dose of about 250mg works for me in 10-15 min.

Thank you! And yes I do have anxiety from withdrawals. Where do you get your GABA?

I generally order the SwansonVitamins brand. Sometimes you can find it on Ebay or Amazon at a comparable price. Its not always easy to find in the 250mg size. They usually sell it in more potent doses, but I've found that it can work better in the lower dose for me. I get the capsules, but you can also buy the pure powder and control the dose that way. NOW is another brand that I've used.
