Thanks for the Fage intel mrsstrong. Skeeballer - I feel you, I've fallen off all too often on this round and it all still seems to work out somehow. Didn't have the big losses I had 10 years ago, just fairly slow and steady. And the dogs and cats, so hard to lose them...

Also, I'm curious about a longer than 40 day round if I got that right. How does that work? And, how do you know if you've reached your limit and the hcg stops working for you? Think I remember hunger. So, guess my question is, if you keep going until you get to that point and it's more than 40 days, will stabilization still work?

The max round is 40 dose days. That is actually longer than 40 days when you add in weekly skip days, days skipped for heaviest period days, and any days skipped for dose adjustment troubleshooting. You can easily end up with a 48 day round because of those factors. That is what is meant by a longer than 40 day round. Also if you should take an interruption after the 23rd dose day, those interruption days don't count towards your 40 dose day total, so you can extend the time even longer. (you don't generally lose during the interruption though, so its a wash scale-wise.)

They weren't sure he was strong enough to get xrays and any other tests done. It happened so fast and out of the blue. We weren't prepared at all (we never really are). He was like my shadow, always around, slept next to my side of the bed, came into the kid's rooms as I told them goodnight. He was just always there, and I felt so empty without him. He was only 9 years old. I think about him everyday and my 5 year old daughter still talks about him too.

We still have his brother, Boone. Their mom was a golden retriever and their dad was a Labrador. Bock was a beautiful amber color, Boone is black, and their sister (Briley, who lives with my in-laws) is like a black golden retriever--so pretty!

I miss Bock everyday. It took a few months to be able to think about him without that gut-punch, raw aching.

Sorry for the tangent post, but I'm always proud to talk about him
Sounds like a saddle thrombus. My cat had this and there was not much we could do other than allowing her to go. It's so hard to miss our animal friends! Their shadow remains for a long time!

skeeballer, your swamp belly flop made me laugh.

MY belly flop was looking at my weight diary from my January round where I started with my loading weight of 171.4. Got sloppy after a good couple of months of P3 and, wonder of wonders, my loading weight on this current round was...drumroll... 171.4.

So I basically shot myself in the foot and tortured myself for 23 days on that last round for nothing. Live and learn and get back in the saddle!

So Leez, if I was to do a planned interruption it must be after the 23rd injection? How long can you do a PI without having to load again? Thx!

    Good morning!

Yes, after the 23rd dose day. You must have 20 "effective" injections before an interruption. That means 23 injections because the first few are not considered "effective" as it takes 3 days for the HCG to build up to full strength in your system.

The interruption is from 4-13 days. Here is the passage from the protocol:
...If the interval lasts less than two weeks the patient can directly resume injections and the 500-calorie diet, but if the interruption lasts longer he must again eat normally until he has had his third injection....

    TGIF!

Happy to hear everyone is doing well, and I love that we are all in different phases/days. For some reason I feel like motivation and encouragement are more authentic, maybe because I think it's easier to empathize with and lift up others in various stages when you can appreciate the whole process. --->Not how I wanted to word this thought, but I'm tired today lol

I'm down another 2 today, which puts me just under the number before the binge. I know I could have easily dropped more this round, and I am itching to do R2. I hope I see R2P2 differently now that I know the program works...when you follow the program I hate that I've wasted some time this round, but I do feel a new appreciation and understanding of P2. It doesn't seem as intimidating as in previous attempts, and part of me kind of likes it!

So, Sunday will be my 5th injection (since I got back on the wagon for 10 more days) and I will skip Monday's dose. Then I'll have 5 more shots until I begin the transition to P3. Here's to finishing strong, working the protocol and making every last day count!

If stabilizing in P3 works out for me (and I stay the course for 21 days in P4), I'll be ready to start R2 by Sept 1. I can't wait! I plan to do a short round, as P2 seems more manageable and tangible when my restrictions are limited to 21 days. I only have 1 vial left, although I may order more to have on hand for subsequent rounds.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I will likely pop on both days because it helps me to record the process, and I'm trying to recognize and implement what has worked/kept me on track this round. And "talking" to y'all definitely helps!

I'm with you skeeballer. I do better with p2 eating with smaller increments of p2, which is why I have found planned interruptions work for me. After 23-26 days of p2, I'll do a planned interruption of anywhere from 10 -14, 15 days, then back to p2 to finish the 40 day round . On the PI I eat almost entirely P3, it's great practice for P3, and tastes wonderful after the strictness of p2. This is how I've worked the system this year. And how I've managed to lose, as of today 47.6 lb since January 9 this year, I always say if I can do it, anyone can. To me the most important part of program is really P3, where the reshaping takes place. and it happens in P4 as well. Great job on your losses, and onward for more! You're doing great!

Good morning all. Looks like everyone is doing well. Just thought I would stop on here real quick and touch base.

I am down 8.4#'s today and am on VLCD6. Sounds great but I know I will be slowing way down soon so I am prepping myself for that mentally. I have decided to go a little rogue and do a skip day for the next 2 sundays and try and squeeze the 48 doses out of the hcg I am currently using from diet doc. I will be doing a PI when this vial runs out, hoping to get at least 23 injections in before my PI but we shall see. I don't want to mix my Colin Watson vial until I get back from my PI which won't be until Aug. 6th. Crossing my fingers it all works out and doesn't mess with my stabilization.

    161.4 #'s today.

I replied to you on my thread in General questions and answers letting you know that I am ready for ph3 because of severe stress. However, after reading your above quote maybe I should do another PI for 7 more days and give it one more try to finish out my 2 weeks of injections that are left.

So glad everyone is doing ok so far.
My medications that I am taking for hypothyroidism is Cytomel, which I have stopped during this round per Dr. Simeonís protocol. I have also quit taking any vitamins and supplements.

Sorry Deanna-I didn't see your answer before. I know you've started a new job and all, that can be very stressful. You have to do what is best for you. Just wanted to make sure you are doing ok. You only have to answer to yourself. That's all any of us have to do. Hope your stress eases up. I know you said your boss is kinda difficult, hope that works out. Thinking of you, regardless of what you decide. We are all more than number on a scale or phases of a diet protocol! Hugs
