July 2022 Loaders - Team Joy

Wecome July Loaders, this thread's for you!

Use it to plan your round, ask questions, share concerns, get and give support or just post for accountability. We are here for you!

My challenge to Team Joy is to find something joyful in each day, and post about it to encourage others. Positivity is contagious and has strong ties to success, and that's what we are all going for...a successful round. Lots of good things can happen as your body reshapes, and not all those things have to do with the scale. You may find a new joy in simple fresh foods, or come to appreciate how adaptive your body is no matter what you throw at it. Whatever that thing that delights you each day is worth posting about.

It's important to state that any input I give here will be based on the original protocol. You can apply that to your own situation as it seems right to you. If we are fortunate, we may get a few veteran HCG'ers to join us and increase the group wisdom with their experience.

All the best as you plan and work your plan!

I choose joy and gratitude. Back on second round. At first I procrastinated but mixed up my hcg and that got me headed in right direction. 15 lb loss is my goal so longer round than I intended.

Good Morning! Leez, you have already helped me so much...just 6 days into my Round 1, so thank you! I have always been the lone ranger dieter and having a sounding board is such a game changer for me.

My background, my highest weight at 5'5" is 190 which I hit five years ago. I have Hashimotos and am on 112 mcg levo. I did two rounds of HCG. It was amazing and I ended at 165, not my goal weight but my daughter's wedding, now 3 years ago, put an end to my focus. Now here I am at 186.6. My loss as of day 7 is a little over 3 pounds, with 3 load days. I (usually) don't eat grains or junk food and so loading is a struggle. I ate ice cream to try to build the fat stores since I had been calorie watching and intermittant fasting for many months before realizing that the weight would drop 2 pounds and come right back (the sad story).

Everything has been going well, not particularly hungry at 150 IU. And feeling so glad to be in control of something again. Then last night around 8-9 pm the severe hunger pangs began and did not stop until I fell asleep. I remember you saying that hunger late in the day could mean needing a higher dose. I can't stand the idea of another starving evening so I increased to 170 IU this morning. Just looking for feedback about dosing I guess. Oh, and I have not deviated from orginal protocol except to add the bone broth (1 c) which you and I talked about. I did mix a handful of spinach with 6 grape tomatoes at dinner. Starving this morning too, after injection an hour ago.

I am so excited and full of joy to be on the journey and looking toward more mobility and fun times! Thanks for all you do! Kari

    Hi Kari,

When considering a dose change, its best to do a skip day. That allows the correct diagnosis, because the hunger can be the same whether the dose is too high or two low. Generally, its best to have 4 days on the same dose before doing a skip day, but if you experience extreme hunger today, do the skip day tomorrow. Then report back how your hunger levels are in the late afternoon (about 4pm if you take your dose in the morning). If hunger is gone or signficantly less, that means dose is too high. If hunger increases, that means dose is too low. How you feel before late afternoon does not factor in.

Yes, joy! I am still daily joyful for my HCG miracle. You are on your way.

Leez. I started taking my dose at 7 pm. Long story. So yesterday was pretty hungry all day. Might be stress related. Skipped last nights dose and hunger not terrible. So does that mean lower my dose? I am taking 28 mused 2:1 5000 Iu.

Unfortunately, for those dosing in the evening, its not possible to do an accurate skip day diagnostic, because the time you would be observing your hunger level happens when you are asleep.

How was your hunger when you woke up? It seems like maybe a bit better, but you were still experiencing it? What happened as you went farther into the day?

EDIT: In reading your other post, it does look like you should reduce dose. If you needed to increase, your hunger would have kept getting stronger.

Leez. After evening dose on Tuesday night I stayed hungry pretty much most of the next day until after dinner. That’s when I usually take shot 7pm. No hunger after eating dinner snd none today with no hcg. Could have been some anxiety unrelated to hcg but I feel much better today. I’m going to dose tonight at 25 mark which is slightly less than I took a few days before. Not sure how much that is dosing 2:1 5000. I had upped to 28 because I had slight hunger but think that was not a good plan

With your mix, 25 mark would be a dose of 125iu

The raise to 28 was only a very slight rise, so it likely took a few days to show that was a wrong dose. Generally, dose changes are in the 25iu range either way. I think its a good plan to go back to 125iu for four days and then reassess.

Thanks again Leez. Took a dose tonight so will see how it goes for next 4 days. Was happy to have less hunger today.
