    Wow, Isabella, I just noticed how close our starting weights are! Mine was 182.2! As for your trip to Spain, I think you did pretty well and hopefully you enjoyed the local cuisine. Good luck with R3. I'm sure you'll do great, especially when you see that Week 1 Whoosh!!

    Hi all. I am completely new to the whole HCG thing and have just gotten my hhcg drops in the mail ... Seeing a little bit of mixed messages on those vs. the injections, but I am still looking forward to trying this type of diet with a homeopathic method. Anyway, I am reading up on all the details of how to get started (hoping to begin my "loading" days this Friday and Saturday.

    I am curious what everyone recommends as healthy "loading" foods. Im hesitant to eat things like ice cream or pizza hamburger type foods because I have sabotoged other diets before by giving into cravings and currently I am not in the mode of eating hardly of those foods anyway. Would fatty foods like avocados, cheeses, olive oil style dressings, sesame seeds/nuts be beneficial in the two loading days? The printed guide that come with my drops doesnt give any specific foods suggestions so Im unclear as to how much and of what should be eaten to sufficiently load up in this period.

    Im at 168 pounds I think - with Goal Weight of 135. Im going to verify my measurements this weekend.

    Also, are chilies or chili powders considered acceptable spices in the Core Phase ( Phase 2 ? ) ?

    Hi guys!! It's been a couple days!! So this is what has been going on ... I was sort of in a little yoyo stall for four days alternating 4 ounces... This morning I woke up and I was 117.6 lbs!!! Lost an additonal 1.8 lbs....I yelled of excitement! Finally below my LDW soo happy! So happy that I cheated lol... Had broccoli with one slice of cheese melted... Still am below 500 calories soooo let's see tomorrow! Lol

    Healthy fats like you listed are GREAT for loading! I mean really, why poison your body with crap anyway? As far as chilies, I'm not sure really. My guess is the chilies should be avoided because they are a "night shade" item and they can cause some inflammation which shows up as weight gain. But since the protocol says "Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, etc., may be used for seasoning", my opinion is that chili powder is included in the "ETC" .

    Just a morning check in: -1.2 Not a whoosh, but a loss nevertheless (plus TOM is here, ugh)! I have a feeling that I may just lose slow and steady, since I never went out of ketosis (stayed Paleo my whole P3/P4).

    I woke up after my first VLCD with a 3.4 loss! Yeah me! This is way better than my first two rounds where I lost 1 pound on R1 and 2.4 pounds on R2 those first days.

    Isabelle---I'm jealous...what a great loss! Great way to start R3!
    Rusty..slow and steady...guess that's what I am doing too (but I want to be FAST and furious..hehe)

    Good morning all! The Whoosh Fairy came by last night and took 2.8lbs with her! I just might be in the "40's" by tomorrow! This is a weight I have never contemplated! On any other "diet" it was in a year, I could weigh 250, now, here I am at 250 in 4 months! Awesomely wild and crazy!!!!
    Chin up and know that even if your losses are slow or stalled, you have lost more quickly and safely than any other diet!

    I'm sure it's harder to stay on protocol when you have so little to loose. It's like weight loss isn't the "be all end all" like it is when you're much heavier, knowing you MUST get the weight off. Heck, I felt that way just after losing 20 pounds on my first round. It's probably what made my send round not as successful . BUT, I do know what it's like to be much smaller (when I was younger) and still feeling like you want to get some extra fleshy stuff off, so Negra....stick to protocol and you will lean out the way you want to!! And personally I can't wait to see it happen for you! And just remember, this deprivation is only for a short period of time so you can do it!!

    Congrats on that big whoosh!! I too am so happy to have found a diet that lets the weight just drop of compared to other diets that also require hours spent in the gym...and yet often with no results!

    AFM: I lost another 2.9 today!! That's 6.3 pounds just in my first two days!! I am estatic! Oh, and although I ate some pretty fatty foods while loading for 2 days (french fries, Mexican food, ice cream, etc.), I didn't exactly gorge this time, and I didn't gain anything either....I weighed exactly the same as when I started. I figured I had been loading for 30 days prior since I ate plenty on my 3 week trip to Spain (gained 8 pounds), and I just couldn't stop eating when I got back so I gained another couple pounds during the 2 weeks before I started this round. Also, since it took me a WEEK to get my load gain off on round 2, I just didn't want to waste another week of the diet trying to get a load gain off. I was willing to risk a few days of hunger until the hcg was completely saturated in my bloodstream but luckily for me (and having done this twice before), my dose seems to be good because other than a bit of mental appetite, I haven't been hungry. Praying, praying, praying that this will be a good round!!

    Who else is loading this weekend?
    What are you eating?

    I am officially my first round starting today and am thinking to myself ... okay, what do I want to splurge-eat on before this thing gets into full swing, LOLAfter I did the math of how long the diet might run if I do 35 days or so for Phase 2, I was like wow, if I stick to any eating plan a full eight weeks I will be so pleased with myself! I am taking my first foray into sweeting with Stevia as well ... so just a few more cups of coffee with cream, but cutting out the sugar beginning today.
