I wasnt very hungry first week on P3 But prob ate around 900-1100 cal I do not eat nuts in P3 high calories but occasionally ate a T of almond butter no sugar added. I did eat bacon every morning For breakfast Continued two fruits daily but changed them up... beef chicken and tilapia plus diff veggies twice a day, I ate asparagus, broccoli cauliflower rice and leafy greens for veggies, I was careful to use only stevia for sweetener Also cheese in moderation. I use butter for seasoning but others use olive oil I usually stay within two lbs in p3 and find it a very satisfying way to eat. Many can eat up to 2000 calories in P3 depending on your height and bone structure. My maximum is around 1600 calories but i am short and 77 years old so if i eat that much i will gain, I know many do hcg and lose their weight and do not follow thru with P3 Sticking carefully on P3 i think is crucial.

As far as P4 my last round last year i threw caution to the wind in P4 and started slowly gaining weekly and quit weighing, This round i am making a conscious decision to eat till satisfaction, When i ate out last Saturday i had mexican food with appetizers and chips and enjoyed myself butdidnt weigh for a cpl days and following day i went back to mindful eating. Pick food you enjoy. I tend to eat the same food each day so boring for most but tastes good to me, My daily treats on P4 are Pure Protein bars which are low starch and minimal added sugar

Btw Recently i scribble down everything i eat So i can get an eyeball view of everything.

Just finding this thread. Wish I had found it sooner. It's great to hear about others doing a June round. My FDD was the 24th of May. I only gained 2.6 lbs during my load days, which I lost on my first VLDD. I wish I could look at my losses to date and see a pattern, but there isn't one. I think that's the one thing that really keeps me on my toes. You never know what you're going to see when you look at the scale in the morning but be prepared to move on from whatever the number says, stay in the moment and grow.

I'm now on VLDD 27 and have lost 22 lbs (10% Bodyweight) so far. My LDD will be June 30th (VLDD 38). I've debated going a couple of days longer, but my kids are really excited for the 4th and are missing cooking a Father's day dinner, so I'm hoping I can squeak out another 5-10 lbs in my last 11 days which would be great for me.

The road so far has definitely had it's moments with muscle cramps, insane chills only remedied by a hot bath, electrolyte imbalances and more. This forum, especially Leez has been incredibly helpful. As much as I've tried to make the food interesting, I've come to the conclusion that I cannot satisfy my pallet on this diet, but as I've read here, doing a longer round is really a great opportunity to get in touch with yourself and find the positive energy to keep going.

I know these last 11 days are probably going to be the most challenging, but I'm ready to take it on and celebrate this experience on the back end, especially with this forum.

22 lbs down is GREAT! Congratulations! I'm new to the party too. I'm participating in another June thread, but I find if I have daily interactions with others on the plan, I have more success myself.

AFM: R1P2VLCD3 for me, down 5 pounds. 5 FREAKING POUNDS! Yeah baby. You don't understand what a big deal that is for me. I've been dieting steadily since January, and didn't lose ANYTHING! Of course, quarantine didn't help. I was doing the same - eating shelf-stable foods from my pantry to avoid going to the store, which consisted of a lot of pasta and rice dishes as well as a lot of casseroles. My body just doesn't like carbs. Even in moderation. I was tracking during that time, and rarely ate over 1200 calories a day - but pretty high carb content, and it showed on the scale.

So, yeah, I'm stoked at that 5 pounds, LOL.

A bit about my history: Way long story, but I lost 65 lbs with HCG back in 2011. Then life happened - a back injury, stopped smoking, heart disease, kidney cancer (which I BEAT) - all that led to me getting back up to my highest weight ever. NOTHING worked, even RX HGC - multiple rounds, didn't lose a thing. I went the bariatric route, had VSG, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, and lost 100 lbs. Got to 181, which was only 6 pounds from my goal of 175 lbs.

Then BAM, MENOPAUSE. Yeah, I can't make this stuff up. I started to gain again, even only eating 1200 calories a day of the regular food pyramid SAD on the advice of my bariatric nutritionist. Then I tried low carb. I tried Noom. I tried Keto. I tried working out 6 days a week, 3 days of cardio, 3 days of lifting. I couldn't lose a friggin thing. My nutritionist is at a loss. She basically said I have to "ride this wave til menopause is over" and that it could be a couple years before my system settles down.

Eff that. I had a pity party for a while during quarantine, which led to gains and more depression. I went back to work (massage therapist) on June 1st, and that helped with activity, mood, and routine. And earlier this week, I told my DH that I wanted to do a round of HCG. He also had VSG and had gained over quarantine. He was in agreement and wanted to do his own round. I had enough pellets for us both to do a 21-day round, so here I am.

And that 5 pounds is manna from heaven for me. So happy!

    Hi everyone!

    - Thanks for the Shake info Leez!
    - Good work VTsailer and SilverGypsy! keep up the good work

I'm par for the course at 179.4 today. The good news about doing this few times is I have 5 other rounds of data. So historically I avg 16.4lb lost by day 17, today I was 16.2 so within .2 lbs? pretty darn predictable diet I'd say!

Keep up the struggle Happy Warriors!

Hi Silvergypsy. Congrats on the 5 pounds. My start was much slower which I didn't mind because I wasn't looking at the end game thinking, "Wow. If I keep up this 1.5+ average for the rest of the round, I'm going to have to stop way early!" My build up to this was definitely similar to yours, but instead of getting into the pantry, I rode the "support your local restaurant kick" and started ordering from Doordash every night. No bueno.

Right now, the thing I'm struggling with is that I just don't want to eat. I'm busy during the day and very rarely get hungry, and the thought of cooking boneless skinless chicken breast with a side of steamed Asparagus in lieu of making a chicken cordon blue with Asparagus simmered in olive oil topped with reggiano, all resting on a bed of polenta is absolutely killing me. I've started binge watching Food network to at least satisfy my eyes .

It's becoming a good opportunity to dig deep and stay focused.

    Keep up the great work!!

    Hi AK,

So you're comparing round to round? That's awesome you're seeing correlation and have that data to compare to.

    Cheers,

    Hi Gyosy,

Welcome, and wishing you success on your journey. I'm curious what happened during those failed rx hcg rounds. Where did you get your product and what issues did you have specifically during that time?

It's so hard to stay on track when you're busy. Being self employed, I sometimes don't get home til after 7 p.m. and the last thing I want to do is cook a big meal. Have you tried doing a batch cook? I marinate a bunch of chicken breast tenderloins in different things and then grill or bake them so we have enough for several meals. I then add veggies from one of those steamable pouches and voila - dinner. (Now, I know that doesn't address the fact that it ISN'T cordon bleu. If you can come up with a way to make THAT protocol friendly, you'd make a million dollars!)

SDWIS - Those rounds were a disaster for so many reasons. First I was using subcu injections that I mixed myself. But my HCG had been kept in the fridge for a long time and was about 6 months past expiration date. It's possible that I flubbed mixing it too - it had been a couple years since I'd done a round. I couldn't get my hunger under control from day one.

Then life happened. My father passed away unexpectedly. I attempted another round with a fresh mix about a month after he passed, was doing well..... and then I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. While I was recovering from partial nephrectomy, my best friend had bariatric surgery and I watched her lose weight so quickly.... and I began my journey to get approved for vertical sleeve gastrectomy.

I am immensely grateful for being able to have VSG. My husband also had it 9 months after I did. All of our comorbidities went away - sleep apnea, high BP, in his case, diabetes too. (He still carries that dx, but he is completely controlled by diet, no meds at all. His A1C went from 12 down to below 6!) Having that surgical restriction is making it much easier to do these HCG rounds, for both of us. While I got within 15 lbs of my weight goal after surgery, he never made it. He got within about 30 lbs and stalled. Stalled for months. And then COVID happened and I think almost everyone gained weight during quarantine. So we've both got about 50 lbs to get to where we want to go.

New days, new normal....... a new journey on an old path (HCG) to get to our desired destination.
