However, endeavor to push forward focusing on myself ......even in the middle of a caregiver crisis.

I have a mini getaway planned for the 14th. A few days in the Hill Country at a house on the river that is 100% peaceful. Relaxation and rejuvenation here I come!! I'm not sure what I'll do regarding my HCG injections. I'll reach out for guidance as the days draw closer. This is giving me incentive to double down and stay strictly on course.

Is it recommended to skip a dose once per week on the 28 day plan....IF....you want to prolong your round?

Also, if things go well or bad....I have the option to buy another vial and extend round further. I'm playing this by ear because you just never know how each round will play out. Although, I've never really had a bad round. Unfortunately, I started this round about 5-7 lbs. heavier than some of my previous rounds. I let things go a bit tooooo long. Because I waited 5 lb. too long.......I've set my goal for under 140 lb. It's doable if I can behave myself! I need this mini vacation to re-charge so i'm going to figure out how to do both.........protocol and vacation. Interupption or.......forge ahead and extend my round?? Time will tell and I'm grateful to have some good advice to help me choose what is best path. It's really nice to have options. Or, perceived options!!!

Seems like there is way less activity and folks on the forums at this point in time compared to previous times that I have used forum support during my rounds. Anyone else notice this?

Wishing a great day to all. KMac

Kmac, definitely less activity on forums than in years gone by. Maybe because people will now go to clinics and doctors for direct hcg product and accountability. Still find the best advice is here on forums, not all clinics go by Dr. s's protocol at all. As far as you are concerned with getaway being planned in a couple of weeks, maybe a planned interruption is in order, but I'm not sure you will have had enough doses of hcg under your belt to go to planned interruption? Maybe Leez, or someone will weigh in on the exact particulars of that protocol. If you did a planned interruption you could come back and then complete a full 40 days round, if you wanted. I've done a couple of planned interruptions during my 2 rounds (full rounds) this year, but remember I had done at least 21 days of doses each time before transitioning off hcg for PI. And they have worked out well. Mainly ate p3 foods during those breaks, except for a couple of times eating more p4, but not a lot. Thing is, you have to plan because you need to do transition days off hcg before starting the "planned interruption". As far a skip days go, I don't think you have to on a 28 day round, but for 30 days or more, you should, and it can help lengthen your round by a few days. Congrats on being down 6 lb already. Good job.

Your getaway sounds lovely. I'd just follow P2 as much as you can while away. It doesn't sound like the getaway is about food or socializing, but about peace and self-care. You may find that you increase your peace by sticking with your plans.

Planned interruptions cannot be started before you have had 21 effective doses---which means 23, since the loading doses are not considered "effective" yet. And then once you have transitioned off, the minimum interruption time is 4 days. You won't have enough time in P2 to start an interruption by the 14th.

You can skip a day a week in any length round if you wish.

Thanks for the input regarding skip days and PI. I think I will skip each Sunday in an attempt to prolong my round. Day 5 and my energy is normal....plus I"m going for a B-12/Lipo shot today. I'm down .4 this morning so still moving the scale. I think it's in my ability to stick close to P2 on my vacation. Generally, I'm not that hungry on P2 anyway. I'll need to watch the alcohol intake. But, I can stick to vodka/sparkling and dilute with ice! Also, if I continue feeling this good energy wise......I may buy another vial and continue my round. I'm lucky in that my clinic's price is very reasonable so I don't have to worry about the dollars regarding that decision. They want HCG to be affordable to everyone. Although, they are having to get the HCG from the compounding clinic that does a lot of their bio identical hormone at. I wish I had known the 21 day rule on the PI.......i would have started my round earlier!! I"m not going to stress about anything because I have extending my round in my back pocket. I still haven't exercised yet. Good grief.....who doesn't have time for a 20 min. walk? But, at least I made it through the day in peace.

Looking forward to the 2 new Junies coming on soon. Thank you Leez and Dubbles for keeping this thread....and me......moving. Great day to all. KMac

Hi, all! I'm loading today. I've tried and never actually completed a phase 2 of many, many tries in the last 10 years. Sigh. What a waste of time and money. But after having 2 kids later in life and being miserably overweight, I'm ready to make a change. It's kind of now or never. This is the first time I've used a company in the USA so it's very different for me. I went through Diet Doc and am mixing my stuff this morning. I'm used to a more complicated mixing process for sure lol. I know this will be hard and will take a lot of discipline and willpower, and the WANT to make it happen. My kids eat a lot of normal snacks and I usually find myself mindlessly eating them too (goldfish, cheesesticks, fruit gummie, etc) plus I unfortunately got them hooked on processed sugars like ice cream, Popsicles, marshmallows and candy *ashamed emoji* My husband and I love candy and chocolate and I am the one who will just buy it. I've gotten into this mindset of I want it so I get it. Part of my addictive behavior according to my therapist. I spend a lot on things I don't need. I have suffered from depression and anxiety since I was a kid and as an adult deal with adhd. I take medication and do well in therapy, but still struggle with behavior and making the right choices for myself. A lot of my behavior is still avoidance and comparing myself to others. Anyway...back to health. I will be preparing meals for the family while keeping mine separate, but will try to keep them theme-adjacent I know what has worked for me in the past on protoco--it's the sticking with it part that fails me. I'm addicted to sugar and getting passed that slump will be difficult. I also love cheese and sour cream. And ranch dressing. Okay, moving on. I'm loading with mostly fats but do plan to indulge a bit. Although I remember loading isn't all that fun. I'm doing a short 21-day round and I'm hoping that will help my mindset in that I can it for 3 weeks and see how it goes. The 40 round just seemed too daunting and is what I tried years ago and failed every time. I'm a little nervous because we go on a short vacation when I'm supposed to enter P3, but it's a very low key 3-day weekend and I can control what I eat for the most part. BUT, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. So, that's me. Wish me luck, friends. I've got a 2 year old and 5 year old and I'm 45 (insert crazy, tired, losing hair emoji?) but I love my life. I just don't want to feel tired, unmotivated, insecure, and older than I am anymore. I can do this.

    Starting weight (eek) 225.2
Goal weight R1 (is this feasible?) 210

    Welcome, skeeballer,

You've done the hardest part, making the decision and starting. We are here to cheer you on. Here's to a successful round this time.

It is very doable to achieve a 12-15 pound loss in the shortest round of 23 dose days (2 loading days plus 21 very low calorie days).

A couple tips: Something that may help you ease into P2 is to break up your 2 meals into more smaller ones. This is allowed in the protocol. The more frequent meals can be helpful in keeping blood sugar levels stable. Also, replace table salt with some kind of mineral salt (sea salt, pink salt, gray salt) and add a pinch to your water. That will help keep your electrolytes stable as you increase your water intake.

Good luck skeeballer! You can do this!. I have completed 2 40 days rounds with 2 planned interruptions, and p3, this year, Since January and lost about 44 lbs. If I can do it, anyone can--believe me you couldn't be much worse as far as sugar/fast food addiction than me. Once my hubby brought home a box of a dozen Krispy Kreme chocolate covered donuts, I opened box and said, didn't you want anything? He started laughing and said, no, they are all for you--teasing. In all honesty I said that because he usually never gets chocolate for himself (more the apple fritter person), but that wasn't far from truth. On a binge i could eat those in a day, day and a half. Just telling this story because you aren't alone. And sticking to protocol, will not only boost your self-confidence, but will help to reset and aid in adjusting some of those carb/sugar cravings. Just have faith, trust the process and you will feel so much better. Use the forums for inspiration, motivation--even the old forums are good to go back and read. 45 is very young, but I know a 2 year old and 5 year old can be exhausting--you want to be healthy for them! Good luck1

So, I have a 5000 vial (2 for the whole round). And the rx says inject 200. That just seems high to me only because I used to do 125 or 150. Thoughts? I'm adding 5ml bac

Also, I somehow got on the desktop version on my phone and it's killing my bifocal eyes. How do I get back to a phone-friendly forum version??

Also, also...I'm showing you my full-on lame cards, but the name of this group remind me of one of my favorite Designing Women episodes. That's right. I love Designing Women. And Golden Girls. And Will & Grace. And King of the Hill. And Seinfeld. And even some Mama's Family now and then. #noshame

If you haven't drawn any doses yet, please add 5ml more bac water to make a total of 10ml. If you've already drawn a dose, you can't do this now, but the higher dilution will make dosing more accurate and easier to change if you need to adjust.

We recommend you start at a dose of 150iu or 125iu. If you remember what your last round ended on, use that dose.

Here is the math to check your mixture and amount to inject for various doses:

    https://hcgdietinfo.com/formula-calculate-hcg-dose/

in the lower left of your desktop version screen, there is a dropdown box where you can choose the mobile version of the forums.

I loved designing women! Suzanne was my fave.

Okay, I already drew a 200 dose ☹️ I guess I'll stick with that until unless I feel there is a problem with hunger later on. And I will definitely need help with any adjustments if I have to go that route.

Thanks for the mobile tip! So much easier now.

I unfortunately started my period out of nowhere today so that's been fun. It takes away most of my appetite so loading is going to be a forced effort these 2 days. Part of me is disappointed because there is that feeling of I'll never get to eat like this again, but part of me is glad because I don't NEED to eat like this again. Eating like this is the main problem!! Anyway, just not feeling all that great overall but I've started this journey and I'm going to see it through.

I'm not getting the rationale for staying with the 200iu dose. You suspect it is too high. It is. You can do your next dose at 150iu by drawing to 15, or at 125iu by drawing to 12.5 according to the way you have mixed.

Already mixing it doesn't mean you can't use a different dose. It just means you can't add more bacteriostatic water and be able to compute an accurate dose.

Yes, definitely ask for help if you run into dose problems (strong hunger or poor losses are the main indicators).

HCG itself can completely wipe out hunger during loading. For me, it kicks in in a couple of hours after the first shot. I've learned to get a good breakfast in the first day, because usually thats the only meal I can actually enjoy eating during loading.

Oh! Okay, I'll go down to 150 tomorrow. For some reason I assumed the 5ml of Bac water made it a more potent mixture but I just wasn't thinking about the overall numbers. Thanks
