Okay, how were you not hungry at all?! Is that the norm? Should I not feel any hunger during P2?

I lost 3.2 but woke up very hungry. And I went to bed feeling hungry. Not just cravings because I actually didn't have any yesterday. I had empty growling tummy. Do I need to lower my dose from 150 to 125??

Happy for you that you lost most of your load weight. That's always a relief.

First off, empty tummy growling is not hunger. It is just digestive noises. But you could be experiencing some real hunger. That can happen the first few days if you didn't load with enough fats or if dose is too high.

If your dose is right, you will not feel hunger except for a little bit at normal meal times. And that will go away when you eat. If you have hunger that persists after eating, or hunger that is so strong or painful you can't ignore it or dampen it with a cup of hot tea, then you have dose related hunger.

I would give it a couple more days. Remember that your starting dose was 200iu, so it will take another day or so to get you to the 150iu you are taking now. The reason is that HCG overlaps in your system over 3 days. Give us your hunger status tomorrow and the next day and I suspect things will even out for you. If not, and you are experiencing strong hunger, then the next step is to do a skip day. That will bring your levels down and quickly give you relief, then you can resume the next day at 125iu.

Thanks for the info, Leez! It was definitely hunger, but my meals weren't protein-focused yesterday. I'll work on that today and see how I feel. I'm also going to find my 1/2 cc needles as I don't like the 1cc that Diet Doc sent. I don't feel they are as precise I guess. I've got a little headache today so I need to up my water intake, and for sure think I need to make sure I'm getting the right amount of protein. I really want to do this right and finally make it to P3.

Leez, I also think you were right to suggest I break up my meals/snacks. I tend to get weak and nauseated if I wait too long to eat, then I just plain don't want to eat at all. And that just makes for a disaster of either a binge at some point or turning into a grouchy monster. That's why I plan to have hard boiled eggs on hand as well as apples and strawberries. I just wish there were other sources of quick protein so I didn't have to "snack" on chicken if I need a protein boost *blech*

Deanna, hope your day 2 is going well! Dubbles, hope P3 is still stabilizing for you.

Getting all your protein in is important, and that could be what was askew yesterday. But even with everything working correctly, you can sometimes have some hunger the first few days. The headache is a pretty common thing the first few days as well. It can be from sugar detox, or a change in caffeine consumption.

I tend to get weak and nauseated if I wait too long to eat, then I just plain don't want to eat at all.
Weakness and shakiness are signs of low blood sugar--more frequent meals is the remedy. I generally split my meals into 4 during P2, with protein and veggies at 2 and fruit and melba at the others. But you can divide it up any way that makes sense to you.

Bone broth can be a quick protein source. Remember that a protein portion of eggs in P2 is one whole egg plus 3 egg whites. So for instance if you have your boiled egg at one meal, you can use the extra whites with a fruit snack later.

Leez, did you prefer beef or chicken bone broth? And was it Pacific brand? I'll look for one with minimal ingredients and no sugar and low sodium.

I prefer chicken just from a taste standpoint. Pacific is a good brand.

I get the organic bone broth from Costco that uses sea salt, or make my own. I think the low sodium stuff is pretty much tasteless. Make sure it is bone broth and not stock or plain broth or you won't get protein or the collagen.

Thanks, Leez! Yes, so far no issues and this is day 2. I did buy 1 1/2 needles for this R4, on R3 I did 1 1/4. Also, I am injecting in my upper arm where I can feel muscle. In round 3 I was injecting in my hip, but to be honest I could never feel muscle. I have lost a lot of muscle over the years, so not sure if that could have been the issue last time. I guess time will tell.

    Happy Humpday, ladies

I'm down 1.8 today. But I'm definitely feeling hunger and weakness. The slight headache I can understand, and I'm trying to drink as much water as I can. I may have to try a protein shake in the morning as I feel very lightheaded and unsteady. And egg just didn't cut it today. I wonder if I should skip a dose tomorrow to see if I need to lower it. I just had a bit more protein at lunch and feel more clear-headed. I noticed on my paperwork that Diet Doc suggested 740 cals a day for me. I may actually try that (using protein for the extra calories mostly) and see if I still have losses. I also may need to take some potassium. My muscles feel heavy if that makes sense. Usually my mom would say eat a banana when I feel this way! I don't take any supplements other than 500 mg of Mag at night (I take a lot of rx meds so I get nervous adding in vit/supps). Even that 500 of Mag didn't help me today though so maybe I need to up that as well.

Sorry this post was kind of all over the place The kids are napping/having quiet time and I'm feeling a headache, heavy muscles, a little lightheaded, and kind of a sick stomach even though I just ate some really good chicken. My stomach is just not used to so little food yet I guess.

@ skeeballer: You can skip your dose tomorrow. If you feel better late afternoon to early evening, it means you should lower your dose the next day.

Your mom was right---the banana has potassium. For the heavy muscles, try a potassium supplement once or twice a day. If you don't have on hand, you can take a 1/4 tsp cream of tartar in your water. Start putting a sprinkle of mineral salt in your water, it will help with hydration and can keep your electrolytes balanced. Fixing the potassium issue will likely fix the sick stomach issue as well.

500mg magnesium is a fairly low dose. You can take a couple thousand milligrams or more safely.
So definitely increase magnesium until you are eliminating normally.

Day 3 and no hunger....yippee!!! Current weight this morning was 190 from 193 lb (beginning weight). So there is a 3 lb. loss!

Skeeballer don’t get discouraged, I went through the same thing you are going through. Leez had me skip a injection day and I had no hunger. You should have no hunger towards the end of the day tomorrow.
