P2D40: down 1.1- 183.6. I thought for a second the scale was gonna give me a little more, but it took .3 back. Oh well. I probably have maybe 10-11 days of drops left, and hopefully about the same number of days before my period, if it all times out the way I hope it will. Maybe I can get down a bit further before that happens. We'll see!

Happy friday all! Do you count your 2 loading days as P2D1 and 2 and then first VLCD is P2D3? I've totally forgotten how the numbers work. Today is VLCD#13 for me. I kinda stalled for the last 2-3 days and then dropped a full pound this morning. I think I recall the stall is somewhat typical at this point. I'm trying not to pay much attention to the scale as I've lost about 10lb. and I really can't tell it at all. Maybe less bloated? A clear indication that it's time to truly work on the inflammation end of things. What better time!! One of the great things about HCG is you do get the opportunity to reset in a variety of ways. I struggled with my walk this morning. The 5000 steps were hard, my legs were wobbly and I was dragging my butt down the street. Maybe a rest day tomorrow or something in my exercise room. (oh yes, I have a home gym and just didn't use it for 2 years)!!! I"m going to drink/hydrate all day because I might be a bit behind due to being busy the last few days. I'm planning a visit to my dad in East Texas around the 4th. I'm planning to take some meals and also some prep stuff to make sure I can stay on course. Thinking a crock pot something? I'm a bit concerned because I'm planning to be there 5 days!! At least I'm planning and brain storming early.

On a non positive note, I better see the evidence of some weight loss SOON!!! GRRRRR!

Rose--your holding steady and your attitude seems great
Jenny--You are very strong and determined! Power through as long as you can. But, end on a good note!!

    WATER, WATER, WATER!!

Just got back from running errands for my parents. Time to stop and rest for a bit!

Chicken/Steak kabobs are always a good choice! And grilled veggies are delicious! Of course taco salad or grilled bbq chicken are also quick and easy. Actually, taco salad is probably what I'm having tonight!

As far as counting-- I don't know what everyone else does, but I don't count my load days as drops days. I only count VLC days.

You sound like I was at the beginning of the year. I eventually ended up having to stop and take some time to rest and then slowly work back up to exercising. Even now, I have to make energy choices some days and have to be careful not to overdo it. So I try to pace myself and not do too much at a time if can help it. Of course, that's easier said than done when you are the one responsible for everything and everyone else. My watch counts my steps through the grocery store, around the house, up the hill to feed the animals and gather the eggs and everywhere else I go. I set it up to track as an indoor walk every time I go somewhere I know I'll be walking for a bit. It all adds up. And rebounding on the little trampoline for 10 mins a couple times a day keeps the lymphatic fluid moving, and also counts as steps. But I don't have to go so long that it wears me out. It's also easier on my knees than the 5-6 miles I used to walk at the park. I'm hitting between 10-12K most days just by making sure everything I'm doing is actually getting counted. But if I have a day I don't feel like doing much, I don't do more than I have to. Your body knows what it needs!

Adding LDN back in helped to balance my immune system and has helped a lot with the inflammation. I also take turmeric nightly. I still wear compression socks some days/nights as well, to help combat the fluid that likes to collect in my ankles, especially if I don't get enough electrolytes in and hold onto water. It was every night when I was still having the long daily commute to law school. Now it's only one or two nights a week. I didn't get in that boat overnight, so it's probably gonna take a while before I get back to shore. Slow and steady wins the race, as they say!

Saving the best for last: congrats on another pound gone! Good riddance!

P2D41: up .3 and angry about it. I know that's not helpful, but it gets really frustrating when you know you're doing all you can, and not only are you not going down on the scale, you're going up! And then it rounded up another .1 for good measure! I'm over it! 183.9 this morning. It'll be a miracle if I make it into the 170s this time at this rate. Alright. That's the extent of my pity party this morning. Off to drink my coffee, then head to town to get chicken feed.

JennyV, it may be better if you weigh once per week. Take measurements if you haven't already, and do that again weekly. The last couple of weeks are neccessary to ensure a good reset of your metabolism, and will give you some losses though at a slower pace. Stay the course!

Morning all, I didn't walk today because I'm planning to spend hours in the hot garage re-arranging and re-organzing my Etsy inventory. About every 6 months I have to do this to keep myself from tripping and falling over boxes and packing supplies. I dread doing this in the heat but it's only going to get hotter as the summer days go by! I'm SLOWING losing a bit each day, with the emphasis on slow. But, I can't complain because it's the correct direction. I am pretty upset about not being able to tell I've lost 10 lbs. Clothes are "maybe" a tad more comfortable (who knows because i've only worn workout shorts since starting)! But, it's hard to compare this round to rounds from years ago because I started 15-20 lbs. heavier and never had this much fat around the middle. I don't know!!! All I do know is I gotta stay on track, which I am, and I'm not having fun doing it!!! Ok, enough procrastination for me, off to the sweat shop of a garage. Have a great Saturday everyone.

I am trying to stay the course, I'm just fussing today. I don't feel super, either, which is playing into my crappy attitude. I do weigh in daily, but I've been measuring every week and am down 2-3 inches all over, so I really can't complain.

P2D42: down .7. 183.2. Feeling under the weather and woke up super tired today, so I may just try and rest. Just a few more days of VLC to go. I can do it.

P2D43: down .3. 182.9. Ready to be done. Really wanting to break into the 170s also. I think I may be having another EBV flare-up, which I really don't want for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that it messes with my liver and makes my weight balloon. The sheer exhaustion the past couple of days (that tale-tell feeling of being hit by a truck) coupled with the joint pain the last two nights and the swollen lymph glands are not a good sign. I should probably stop and stabilize, but I only have a couple more days or so of drops left. Maybe three including today. I really just want to sleep... the one thing I can't seem to do without interruption at night. My legs and knee joints were hurting so much in my sleep last night, it woke me up and I couldn't get back to sleep for hours. Gonna try and rest again today if I can. Too hot to do much else anyway.

P2D44: down .2. 182.7. So close to 179.9, yet still so far away! Still feeling yucky, but determined to see this through to the end. Couple more days left. I'll be happy to see the back side of the VLC part. I can tell I'm getting close to the end of it. My losses are down to the tiniest bit, and the hunger is starting to creep back in. Slept a little better last night-- no pain at least-- so I will take it. My mind feels like it's on a hamster wheel, though, and can't seem to stop racing. I'd like to get a break from that. Anyway, enough of that for today. Gonna go outside and enjoy my coffee before it gets too hot to be out there.
