Day 6 of VLCD and down .5 pounds this morning. Woke up hungry this morning with a growling stomach but starting the day with coffee as I normally do.
It's so nice to see the scale consistently moving in the right direction!!

Needless to say, I hope I haven't created a "stall" for myself. I will know if I don't lose any for 3 days. If so, I will do the apple day on Friday and keep it moving. We all experience set backs. I'm just thrilled to death that I'm not hungry at all on 500 cals.

Can some one point me in the direction of the meanings of the acronyms??? LIW? I don't know what these things mean since I'm new to HCG. Thanks.
Hi.......Congrats on your amazing first week loss!!!! Your body had to respond to a slowdown after such a great release.......just stick with the protocol!!!
LIW -last injectable weight......the day of your last injection before heading into P3 to stabilize.....an important number for P3.
LDW -for those doing drops.......and as above.

Awww thank you for this. I am starting to get excited for P3 (I know probably a bit soon) but this helps.

Also, how is it going? I feel bad about the advice, I think it is just our bodies and how we work differently on the program. I hope you're rocking it out like you always do. I don't know how you stay so active. You're amazing!!!

I don't want to give up but it's hard to stay motivated when I'm not putting up the numbers I think I should. I'm using the HCG Activator (not actual HCG) from GNC, which I've read both +'s and negatives on. At this point in the game, should I switch over to HCG or just keep going with what I'm on? I read all the information about mixing it and doses and I just don't understand it all. I'd love to just get drops, premixed - and not worry about it! But at 12 days in, will I have to start all over again? I was hoping to be off of this by Spring Break. Any input is appreciated.
JUST MY OPINION -If I was you and was sticking strick to protocol and doing the hard work of HCG I would want to guarantee I had the 'proper tools' for the job......I'd be sourcing drops if that's the route you choose......lots of help on the site for 'where to start' in getting them and how to mix if that is your cup of tea!!!

annabell4671 -LOAD BIG GIRL!!! lots of Macadamia nuts, walnuts, any nuts, eggs if you eat them (maybe fried in coconut oil) or butter, avocado's.....Many here skip the melba/ bread sticks......I too had a very healthy all homemade pre-diet but I still had lots of extra lbs........

Lucy12784 -GET BACK UP ON THE HORSE AND RIDE AGAIN!!!! Get rid of all the temptations in your house!!!! You look to be a tiny, weeny girl so this will be a slow process for you but you can do it if you have the "Gusto"!!!

Tatmoof -Google 'ask grammy' and get some real good answers to your questions......things could be different for you but extreme hunger is always refered to as a dosing problem.......to me you look to be on a VERY HIGH dosage of HCG......I lowered mine from Grammy's initial recommendation (150iu<125iu) and feel much better......also can get ticker advice by googling in this forum ticker help......I found following the 'red headed' ladies course of action cleared up a lot of my questions!!!!

Are any of you using a specific (preferred) brand of beef or is any lean beef acceptable?

@golfcrazzeeone-HAHA!!! You got the teeny weeny part right I'm just under 5' and have a small frame which is in hiding right now for the time being And I did exactly what you said and got rid off all the crap and told my husband if he wants it to keep it somewhere else! That cheat made me gain .4 so it was NOT worth it and I won't be doing it again!!

Congrats to all the great losses!!! You all are so inspiring and positive! I love reading all of these amazing success stories

As per Dr. S. protocol I have been buying the leanest organic ground beef I can get!!! Costco has a three-pack of one pounders for not too much$$$......the last I got was from Sunshine Market and it was more $$$ than the costco variety but I think a bit leaner......also buy tenderloin- low marbling and cut into steaks 100 gm/3.5oz size for freezer........get up each morning and thaw 2 portions of protein for me......works very slick and keeps me keeping on!!!

Just wondering what everyone is eating lately? I'm trying to vary it up a little bit - Lunch today is filet mignon and tomatoes with Italian seasonings and tea. Dinner tonight is grilled lobster and cabbage.
Can I have two oranges in one day, or do I have to do different fruits for lunch/dinner?
Lastly, the vegetable portion - how much are we allowed to have? I've just been sticking to one serving: one tomato, one cup of cabbage, or spinach?

From what I have read......this is my two cents worth........two different fruits each day!!! Vegetable portion size is less important than making sure it is only the one different vegetable for each meal and that the total calories consumed stays at 500 cals.....ie. eating 3 cups of cooked spinach does not amount to much volume and is minimal calories.......
