About how thick is a 100 gram slice?
Cotton - I slice mine about an inch or so. I just cut the tenderloin by length and then width. : ) It is delicious!

    Morning everyone!!

So today was my big one week weigh-in and as you can see below...... 10 POUNDS LOST!!!! Exactly 10 pounds from my post-loading weigh in. I am really excited but nervous that I will get to the point of cheating if I can't figure this damn hunger out.

Yesterday I opted for the 3/1 plan. 3 protein and 1 fruit and woke up to a 1.2 pound loss, so I am going to try it again this morning and hope that the protein will starve off some of the hunger.

Everyone is doing so good and I am so proud to be a part of you ladies & one phatdad.

    Have a good friday everyone!!!

Do you find you have any stalls when eating ground beef or tenderloin?

I waited to buy the tenderloin until I was positive I was not going to ruin it. Maybe today. One of the veterans posted how she cooks tenderloin. She weights the entire tenderloin raw, then after cooking it divides the total raw weight by 100 grams to know how many servings she needs to make out of it (yet another thing I didn't think of!). So if it is a 500 gram piece of raw beef then after cooking you would try to make 5 even slices. With a 5-6 lb tenderloin that's going to make a lot of slices but would also be easy to freeze for several weeks worth of beef.

Good morning guys. VLCD8 and im down 2 more lbs today. Headed out of town to my moms house to visit. My 92 year old grandpa not doing well. I vow to not cheat. Im even going to fix my own food and im not taking my scales. I want to enjoy seeing a big number when I weigh in on Monday morning. I forgot to have nurse measure my waist so I will get that measurement on Tuesday but I can definitely tell the difference in my stomach area. Yeah!

I just had to comment and say that my prayers are with you. You have truly been thru a lot. Stay strong and of course we will all be here to support and encourage you.

Although I will be out of town I will continue to check the forum so I can keep up with all the good news. Have a loser of a weekend guys. Lol.

I woke up feeling lot better and lucky for me the 280 was true weight. I finally looked at the NyQuil and it did include High Frutose Core Syrup Hoping that doesn't lead me to a gain or stall. I will need to use all my will power today as my work is holding a pot luck *Sigh*

I'm holding strong with my chicken and tomatoes though

    Good morning March friends,

Lost only .5 today, but I'll take it. I think I didn't lose more because I had a late night apple which I usually don't do but I was wanting to "snack" last night. Will have to try to control the cravings. It wasn't real hunger- just a craving for something sweet.
At least I didn't eat chocolate. But I feel so determined right now I'm not going to sabotage myself by giving in to something that will give me instant pleasure but not serve me well long-term. Go away chocolate cravings!!

Does anyone else think the hCG is helping them mentally- as in a more optimistic/hopeful outlook on everything, including losing their weight??

Hi dear friends and losers!!! Down another .7 today making a total loss of exactly 15 lbs in 16 days........so I am doing great and feeling great other than a lack of strength and stamina while golfing!!! I can forego that for the losses though........not quite half way thru my planned 43 day course so holding firm though I am somewhat tempted by mom's comment about taking a scheduled break and heading right back into phase 2??? Mulling that thought over but not wanting to burn my successes and will power which has kept me POP......perfectly on protocol!!!

So today after seeing an incease of .2 on the scale (GRRRRRRRR) I pick myself up, dust myself off and make my kids scrambled eggs and cheese (P3 can't get here soon enough!). At 10:00 am run real quick to my doctors office and pick up my next two week batch of HCG syringes, pay $200 (yes its that much) and place them in my center console because I am afraid on the drive home the sun peeking through the car will ruin them. I pick up my husband and take him to surgery center for scheduled minor surgery. Surgery is running late so I take kids to lunch at Sams club across the street. Pizza and coke slurpee..REALLY!!! Have you ever seen Sams or Costco pizza slices? I proudly chug my water. I better be two sizes smaller after this!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so Its now 1:45 pm 78 degrees outside. Back to the surgery center and kids Kindle fires are out of juice. Oh I have a charger in my......center console...... (You all know whats next)
    Mother freaking love of @#@#$ @[email protected]#[email protected]$ @#[email protected]#[email protected]%#.

Running into the surgery center like my finger has been cut off...they pack the HCG syringes in ice. my oh my. I really hope I did not just throw $200 down the drain.
2:00 pm I have not eaten all day and I am supposed to drive the guy who just had general anesethia home in an hour- yeah, better get food in me asap- but what? Go across the street to the steak house and ask for a 4oz steak and romaine. NO BUTTER NO OIL NO SALT NO PAM NO NOTHING. I hope I dont gain tomorrow from eating out, but I think the stress alone over those dang shots will cost me a pound.

I seem to have lost my brain with the 8 pounds I lost so far.

I know I haven't posted recently but I have been keeping track of you guys and all I have to say is that I am SO PROUD of each and every one of you. It's tough to change everything about how you eat and view food but it will all be worth it in the end. I've discovered that I am a slow loser. I am perfectly fine with that though since I am losing weight. I follow the protocol except that I have cut out most fruit and eat more veggies. I have been feeling great since I figured out my "sweet spot" in regards to my dose. One observation that I have about my weight loss in that I will go through a few days of losing a few tenths a day, then I will gain a little. The next day after a gain I will lose up to 2 pounds. I have a hypothesis about this that comes from reading "Pounds and Inches" for the 100th time. I think what is happening is that the fat is burned up and then the shell of the fat cell is left and filled with water until my body has a chance to break it down. The day before I have a decent loss it seems like I have to urinate A LOT more frequently. That is why little losses (or even little gains) haven't been bothering me in the least. I hope that helps some of you not get disappointed when the scale doesn't move like you want it to, I know how frustrating that can be when you see other people losing much more.
I can't even begin to express how happy I am to finally be taking care of myself. I put on a pair of jeans a few days ago that I haven't worn in 3 years. I had a rough time towards the end of last year. My 16 month old son had 2 brain surgeries (one at 9 months and one at 11 months) and my mom tried to commit suicide, all in the matter of 3 months. Now that everybody seems to be healthy (for the most part) I can really work on myself instead of taking care of everyone else.
I love where this is taking me physically as well as mentally!!!
I wish continued luck to all of you!!
Oh my, you have gone through so much. You deserve to take care of yourself. I am happy you are here and we can support you through this journey.
