I can't even begin to say how much I appreciate this forum!! I lost another pound today (down 10lbs total) and feel great! I actually worked out yesterday. I was afraid to at first because I wasn't sure I'd have enough energy to, but felt great afterwards. I love reading everyone's posts on here - it really helps keep me motivated to reach my goal. We had family over for St Pattys day and I made the whole fair - corned beef/cabbage/soda bread/potatoes/green cupcakes, etc - and sat there happily munching on my steak/steamed cabbage while they all stuffed themselves. THen took my kids to a bowling party on Sunday where everyone scarfed down deliciously looking greasy pizza....I happily drank my water and ate my apple and thought about trying on bathing suits for spring break in two weeks!!

VLCD1 went by easily enough. Down 1.6. So most of the load weight gone, but not all. Hoping to be going into the real weight in the next few days. I wish I could say I am not at all hungry, but I am. Nothing extreme, but I wouln't say no to a sandwich. I generally find denying myself food is easy so I don't expect to break down because of hunger. Its awsome to see some of the results you are all experiencing.

Good Morning everyone! This is my VLCD 4, and I am down for another 0.6lb. The loss is starting to slow down, which is usual, but I cheated a little bit yesterday! I ate 2 extra bread stick, but the total calorie is still around 500. I also added a little chicken stock to my vegi, it's yummy. I will try another day to see if the stock slows me down, or is it really the bread sticks. I am glad that this week is my finals week, so I will be distracted from food and cravings!!!

I wish you all the best on your journeys!!!

VLCD 1 almost over! I am proud of myself for sticking with it, even though its just been one day, I like to think its the little steps that count

I'm curious if anyone has experience not including the breadsticks? I'm really tempted to just not even buy them, because I think that they will be my gateway food that will drive me to cheat. Its one of those things that I can't just eat one of. Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone else has done this, and what kind of results it gave them. I'm not expecting anything drastic, but if it will keep me from cheating, I'll give up the breadsticks.

I started out planning NO BREADSTICKS and NO FRUIT. I asked my nurse about it (since I'm doctor's supervised) and she told me I could skip the bread but not to skip the fruit. I was afraid the fruit with stall me but so far it hasn't. But I have NOT had any breadsticks and I plan to keep it that way. LOL. Way to go...Keep up the good work.

I had a good loss of 1.2 today after nothing yesterday and lost 14 inches!! HOLY CRAP!!! I took out all my summer clothes and had a little fashion show and I was very happy Some of those clothes I bought years ago with the intent to lose weight and have never worn them until now! I still have a little bit to go to feel more comfortable in them, from the side i look good...from the front I'm still wide lol. Another problem i have noticed is my hunger coming back, my body is refusing to eat chicken. i have tried making it different ways, using seasoning, I even made my spaghetti sauce with tomato paste and tomato sauce with approved seasoning and measured out how much I could eat and that worked for 2 days and I still can't bring myself to use the sauce now. I did a ton of research yesterday on the forum and found some people talking about protein shakes so I ordered a Low carb, sugar free protein powder in Dutch chocolate that alot of people has used and i guess it tastes great and still worked. I don't plan on using it for every meal every day..just something to take out the chicken. I am entering p3 in a week and plan to do a 4 day planned interruption when I am home visiting my family so i can take the break and get back into it.

Last night I was craving chocolate donuts like nothing else mattered, I just wanted a nibble..but i knew better so I hoped on the scale and stared at the number and talked myself out of it! This makes me a little nervous for p4, i do plan on exercising and found a thread where grammy said that if you want to make exercising a part of your daily life to start in p3 so the hypothalamus resets to include exercise to maintain weight so I will be doing that but what if I crack in p4?? Would one of those little packs of donuts kill me, even if i exercise..a little scared. But I have faith that it will all work out in the end.

Hello to all the newbies and to all the regulars. Im so glad evry1s feeling a lot better and found their sweet spot.

Yesterday I woke up really bloated (what was that about?!)and only had a .2 release making my wk 1 a total of 7lbs released. Got up this morning and was down another 1.2lbs. I am trying to increase my water intake as I find when I drink more I lose more.

Made a little choco delight kinda thing- normal CD with a lil milk. Turned into like a truffle texture and it was soooo gud and no gain! (Only a tablespoon amount though)

Is anyone else noticing tired joints when walking up stairs or that just me? Felt wobbly when I got to the top.

Also i was getting kinda annoyed as some people are noticing differences and inch loss. So i was going around my bedroom feeling sorry for myself, yes i was seeing a change on the scales but felt no different in my clothes. Then BAM my jeans just miraculously just slid on!!! WHAT???!!! No tugging or pulling just smoothly slid on all the way up! Over my big hips that usually stop them! ALL THE WAY UP!

Now i got a big grin on my face loving everything, everyone, the world..... Ok a bit too far but Im sooo happy!

YAY!!!! I am so happy for you! That is a great accomplishment

Hey gals. Would like to join the discussion. Round 3, P2 day whatever here. My last thread died out and am looking for some like-minded people to help keep me going. And happy to offer any knowledge or experience I may have when needed. Regarding the breadstick question. I have done it both ways. Ate them my first round...had slow losses until I eliminated them. Discovered a gluten sensitivity during R1P4 which explained why eating them in P2 slowed me down. Didn't eat them at all in R2....subbed an occassional rice cracker because I have heard that completely eliminating the starch for 6 weeks could make you "carb sensitive" when you get to P4. I had good losses during R2 as well, but a medical condition in the middle of P3 messed with my stabilizaiton. Anywho, medical issues are wrapped up and back on the HCG bandwagon...started R3P2 a week ago....things are going well so far. 5 more weeks of food boredom...then heaven in P3/4. Happy losses all

I also skipped the breadstick/Melba toast. Once I start carbs it's hard to stop. At least in the first week...no carbs for me.

I have never eaten the melba or the breadsticks. I agree for me it would have opened my cheating! I feel fine without it, no issues. I am not sure if it has helped with my losses or not since I never did them to begin with, but it helped with my mental state.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I have not read all the posts but wanted to share my good news! I lost a pound! I was kinda in a stall for a couple days and then woke up this morn to a lb down. I am so excited about this cause I am in the 160's now!!!! I broke the 170's mark! Whoooooooosh! My dizziness from the last couple days is gone and I am not feeling achy anymore. I am not particularly hungry either. I will go back and read everything that I missed. I tried to keep up while away but had to use my friends laptop since mine is so stinkin old that I was having problems with it. Time for a new Mac book for me!!!!!
