I'm on day 16 and have spent the past 7 of those days on vacation...but I've been sooo good, I sure hope I have a huge loss when I get home. I don't have access to a scale either so I can only go by how my pants feel - and my stretchy pants are even baggy!!! 😄

Drinking lots of water and I've prepared my chicken and eggs and had a delicious steak last night.

Made it through the week without even a sip of alcohol - and passed on all snacks and stuck to protocol as best I could.

Heading home tomorrow so I'll have better control of what I prepare.

Have a good weekend everyone - haven't been able to read up on posts but I'll do that tomorrow

    Cheers!

Wow back2mee that's admirable!! I have a hard time not cheating when Im just living my normal life!!

speaking of cheating... I broke on friday. Kid came home with takeout. Ate 1 boneles wing and just craved food for the rest of the night. Ate a half a pbnj on white bread. Gained .8 on sat but stayed pop and skipped fruit and this morning im down 1.2. Doing a short round so cant afford to lose any days on a cheat recovery!! Whew I got lucky!!

Lost 5 inches! One in bust 2 each waist and hips.

Yes, you can start back on the drops without re loading. Just go back into the 500 calories.

So here I am with everything but about 23 lbs. back. May the Lord help us all to go through this journey successfully and emerge on the other side better than we have been and heading towards a completion of our efforts if we have more to go!

Diva, thanks for your understanding and support. I totally get your story too. I also think that you were in another support group last fall that I was in. If it is the same Diva, hello again! Yeah, I am tired of saying no to social events because of how I feel I look. At 5'8 and 148 lbs., I guess it's not so bad, but my normal weight for me is around 125, and I'd like to get to 120. As mentioned, I started at 152 and last week was my first week where I did a segue HCG variety doing the 800 calorie version, but today it's to strict protocol. But the good thing is I'm not hungry. I might have weighed less today if I had not had 3 T. of almond butter last night! LOL!

Everyone, best of luck to you. Try visualizing your favorite skinny jeans with your favorite tshirt that goes with it. You know, the outfit that you know you look hot in. That's what I'm doing! LOL!

Good morning everyone - back from my vacation and I'm down 3.4lbs in the week! That made me so happy - was worth the agony of passing up on the delicious foods served throughout the week....and my usual downfall - WINE!!!

So far I'm on Day 18 and down 18lbs - what a motivator

Diva and Catmom - I think many of us struggle with this. I'm hoping one day I'll get to a point where my time 'off the wagon' is shorter and I gain control sooner than later. I'm starting to understand that this battle with food is my reality, and I will be up/down the rest of my life.....hopefully it'll have less fluctuation the wiser I get, and the more I understand my own challenges with food - I'm kinder to myself these days and I think that helps.

How many of us are doing the 20 day vs 40 day cycle? I'm on the 40 day.....and I know my last half won't be as big a loss as my first half, but I'm still aiming for 30-35lbs in total.

    Have a good week everyone!

    Day 1, loading

    Hello March Loaders,

I'm thankful for this blog and all the people who post here. I've been reading it off and on for a year now and finally joined today, since I figure joining the conversation will help me succeed and stay accountable.

I am beginning the protocol today, along with my three sisters. Day 1 of loading.

We all did this diet a year ago and each lost 20-28 pounds in a double-round course of about 43 days. But we all have crept back up to (or near) our starting weights. I wanted to lose an extra ten, so did a short round THREE other times between June 2013 and January 2014, but cheated each time and never got anywhere with them. Dumb, huh!?

I am doing injections, and the sisters are doing homeopathic. I've started a separate blog for us in the hopes to have another supportive place for us to talk and maybe it'll be full of useful info for others after we add some content. Hopefully they will also chime in on this blog.

    Ht: 5' 7"
    Wt: 191.4

My injections are for a 28-day protocol, but Dr. Simeon says it should be 23 days total, with 2 days of loading, which leaves 21 days of VLCD during injections, plus three days post injection equals 24 days total possible weight loss.

Goal: The average weight loss for women on this diet is 0.75 lbs/day. I want to shoot for an achievable goal, so my goal is 24 days * 0.75 = 18 pounds. I will gain from the load, but hopefully the 18 pounds will come off my current weight, leaving my finish weight at about 173. That will be 13 pounds above my desired weight (I am muscular and very happy and comfortable in a size 10), but I need to be happy with 173. I ended Round 1 at 168 pounds but wasn't satisfied and steadily gained, since I knew I'd just do another round and easily take it off. Well, summer (and fall, then winter) partying did not comply with that plan. And so here I am today. [Note to catmom in Annapolis a few posts above, 5' 8" at 148lbs looking for 120 -- WOW! you go girl! I'd love to see 148 again but one step at a time...]

    Good luck to all.

    Kittyvic

Major kudos to you Back2mee! To lose weight while on a vacation is amazing! I know I could not have had such will power, and my major downfall also is WINE! Red wine to be exact, and is definitely a major culprit to my weight gain. But I've been without now for 10 days and I am staying focused on getting this "blub" off me. LOL!

Keep up the great work and motivation folks. This is not a super long time to do this, and the results are amazing if you stick with it. Prayers for everyone!!

I agree Kudo's to you Back2mee for the loss of 18 in 18.I actually loaded over the weekend so this is VLCD1 for me and I hope to do 40days or I may just do 30 straight days with no break and see how I do. I will make the firm decision by the end of the week when I see where I am come Saturday.
