Call it what you want, but I had the full "stomach flu" bug; I must simply recover quickly.

Anyway... today I was down 3.8 lbs. I realize that it is mostly loss of food weight on my intestines. So I'll be more impressed next week if the weight continues to drop off at a good rate.

This being my 1st round, I will say that there is a certain amount of "heat", although only slightly, coming off my skin everywhere. I'm not sure if it is the HCG working, or simply from me being sick a couple days ago. Even so It's spring time, so it's comfortable.

    Cheers!

Also, I've observed that people who do things like cleanses, detox baths, laxatives or double their water at the end of the round to drop a couple extra pounds will have trouble in P3 because they are then trying to stabilize at a weight below where HCG would have taken them. And then they can't figure out why they are having to do steak days all the time.[

LEEZ--- thanks for this! What a GREAT point & something to keep in mind!

I have 13 more days to go in the P2 round and have lost 16.4 lbs and today I dropped below 160 (okay, *barely* dropped below weighing in at 159.8.. LOL)

I did some "spring cleaning" today and didn't eat lunch until about 1:30. I realized it when I started getting a bit dizzy & my tummy started to growl. Think I may have done too much cleaning.

You're still ahead of me, Candle. Even with my pound loss today *cheers and celebration* My total is 16.2.

I'm jazzed though. In my 30 day round last spring, at VLCD27 I had only lost 14 pounds, and that was with a 4 pound load. (this time load was 3). I'm 2 pounds ahead of that this round. I guess there's something to be said for mixing your HCG fresh. Last spring I was using a batch of pre-filled syringes that were probably fading in potency by then.

I don't even want to think about spring cleaning....

I'm so happy for your losses! I'm doing drops not injections so I'm pleased with my results so far. This is by far my best round. My first two rounds I cheated several times and just wasn't in a good frame of mind.

Is anyone else having issues with eating? Yesterday I just wasn't hungry and the thought of food made me feel like gagging. I had to force myself to eat 100g of asparagus at 8:00 last night just so I'd have something in my system. Even now, my stomach is starting to rumble but I have no desire to eat the chicken in my fridge. What I really want is unlimited steak.....UGH

Wooo Whooo ... Yesterday, Saturday, I was down 3.4 lbs, and today another 3.2 lbs for a total of 10.4 lbs. I can see that my losses are becoming less ... from 3.8 to 3.4 to 3.2, but that's fine as long as the trend is still down.

Lastly, since I'm doing a long round, today is my first skip injection day. I've felt hungry, but its bearable. It will be interesting to see what size of a loss I'll have tomorrow.

    Cheers!

Thats a handsome deck indeed. Its fun to shop for something like that. Hmmm... is shopping better than eating? Sometimes, YES!

Who loses 3 pounds at a time 3 days in a row? Only men..... gah! I took me 2 weeks of VLC to lose 10 pounds. Not that I don't celebrate those ten pounds---its a magnificent accomplishment for me. But sheesh.

Sometimes I get a loss after a skip day, and sometimes not. I skipped today too, and felt great all day. Good luck to both of us on tomorrow's weigh-in!

It looks like the 3 lbs losses are gone, as today I was down 2.6 lbs. It appears I'm leveling out. The grand total for the week is 13 lbs.

Men might have bigger losses, but we are also typically heavier.

I'm still on protocol, and I haven't cheated, but I was hungry, on & off, yesterday. I also have lots of energy, but my muscles seem to stay tired longer whenever I do something out of the ordinary. For example, I was working with drywall on Sunday, and had to sand & re-mud the area. Just a little area (4ft x 1ft); I worked on it for maybe 30mins. But today, my right arm is quite fatigued, my left arm is fine. I'm surprised that even now (lunch time), my arm is still tired.

I hope this improves as my body gets use to being in ketosis.

    Cheers!

Hi Everyone! sorry I haven't been checking in lately.

VLCD28 - down .6 this morning. I really wanted to go 35 days with this round, but I am not sure I will hold out that long. This morning I am was so hungry that I am eating my "lunch" at 10 am. If this persists, I am going to have to end sooner than I wanted. That being said, I am happy with my total losses this round: 21.2 pound (26.2 if you count load weight).

My husband is doing this plan with me. He started at 318 lbs and on VLCD29, he's at 285. He's lost 33 lbs! That's a little over a pound a day! Yes, I'm jealous BUT I'm very proud of him.

RHIAN: Maybe try lowering your dose a bit to finish out your round. That may help with your hunger.

Hi Fulcrum, I was beginning to think I was the only guy on the site right now. Congratulations on your losses, life changing is challenging! But oh so worth it.

I lost a lot of weight really fast, the first couple of weeks. This slowed by the third week. I even had back-up weight gains on two different days, and on two different occurrences my weight registered the exact same. In my case it's because I was eating too few calories and working out. If I eat around 700 calories (650-800) I feel great and can do my cardio and resistance training.

Being a guy, your body reacts somewhat different then ladies', on HCG. You can benefit from a much bigger testosterone boost. Depending on your age and condition, that may make you start to feel pretty good around the third or fourth week. You can even build a little lean muscle mass while you're doing this round. Nothing huge, but aim for a pound or two of muscle for every 20 or so of pounds of fat loss. That'll make a huge difference in Phase 3 and 4.

I'm 6'1" and ballooned up from an already hefty weight of 235, to over 270lb (really not sure where my "peak" was, I didn't weigh myself much) over the 3 years I was packing on fat. That weight came off fast. I've noticed after my "harder" resistance training days my weight loss is much lower, probably due to a little more water retention from inflammation. But I seem to make up for it fairly quickly. I've got about 14 lbs to go to get down to what I weighed when I played football (many...many moons ago). 210 lbs is my "look and see" goal. That's where I was around 10% body fat back then, and was the last weight I actually saw my abs . I'm sure I've lost muscle mass over the years, so I'll probably have to go down to a lower weight now. But I intend for this to be my one and only HCG round. Even if that means extending it. When I do go to Phase 3 I intend to ramp up my resistance training, and try to regain more lean muscle mass.

Suffice to say, over the first couple of weeks I cheated on my protocol. I was eating 500 calories or less, partly because I didn't really care about eating, and partly because I didn't really think there'd be much of difference between 500 calories and 700ish calories, hell their both normally starvation levels at my BMR. On the lower calories my weight loss eventually slowed to a gruelling crawl, I put myself into a hypoglycemic state, had to stop working out for a week, and felt like total crap.

Once I corrected my diet, my weight loss resumed, I felt great, my mood, and motivation went through the roof, and my weight loss accelerated.

If things get tough for you, you may want to look at some of the modern modified protocols. I follow Colin Watson's protocol, but there are several others out there that are very similar.

If you're having real physical hunger issues, what dose are you on?
