Woke up this morning (VLCD2) to an even 2.0 loss. Had rough night sleeping last night. Went to bed around 11:45 pm & then woke up at 3:00 am, then again at 4:00 am then again at 5:00 am. Final wake up time was at 7:30 am.

Hope everyone had some good losses!

    Today is vlcd 1. Finally!

I really wanted to do a round in January, right after Christmas, but then my family convinced me to wait until after my birthday (Jan 25th) so I did. Then I wanted to start right after my birthday, but remembered in a couple of weeks I had a knitting convention to go to, so I waited until that was over. If I had done the round in January, I would be only 15-20 lbs over my goal instead of 30+. Ugh! I know from the past that doing a round (even a short one) after the holidays, re-centers and re-grounds me. If I gain over next holiday season, my family will just have to suck it up and find a different way to celebrate my birthday, but I am not going to let this happen to me again.

Hello Everyone! Today is my second load day so tomorrow will be vlcd1… I did this protocol back in 2011 with great success… I dropped from 203 down to 158 but never followed p3 correctly so I never stabilized… We had a family tragedy in late 2012 that caused me to stuff my feelings and here I am, back again, sitting at about 180. Id like to get between 150 and 160. I have a closet full of beautiful clothes that I can't wear and its frustrating. This protocol is simple and for me its more of a mind game than anything. Im determined now to get it off again and finish the way Im suppose to. I had a miscarriage two weeks ago tomorrow and although we were/are devastated I'm taking the opportunity before we start trying again to drop some pounds. Anyway nice to be here and meet you all and i look forward to getting to know you all and doing this together.

Hi everyone! I'm going to be starting my loading days this Saturday and Sunday then begin VLCD Day 1 on Monday. I look forward to having this support group to help me along the way. I did 2 rounds back in 2012 and lost 65 lbs. Since then I have gained back 40 of them due to stress of a divorce, moving and death of my mom 2 months ago. I feel like I've been on a downward spiral and need to get back on track. I need to be accountable to someone and I hope you guys can help me and I will do my best to help all of you. I will be doing sublingual drops which I have done in the past. (I hate the idea of giving myself a shot.) Good luck everyone!!

VLCD2 and I post my first loss: 4 pounds. WOW! And I only gained 2.6 loading. *so amazed, saysbackwards...!WOW... *

    So only one day and I'm back to my LIW from last spring. That's just too awesome for words. {{{hugs HCG}}}

@vern58: e-cigarrette, ya? You probably know about Capella flavor drops then.... I've been using them to flavor my coffee and stuff for ages, but just recently found out they are e-cigarette flavors! I use the caramel one in my black coffee. It helps me miss cream less. My fave is the Vanilla Custard...makes my P2 "sherbet" really yummy. I love the NY Cheesecake flavor in my greek yogurt in P3 too.

@Rhiannon: Congrats on moving ahead with your plan. Its ok to do what's right for you. It looks like you are on track now.

@sara: I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I think you are brave to take on a new stress in this time. Rooting for you!

@teetee: loading days are so magical. all that yumminess because...you HAVE TO. I love it.

Leez- I have never used Capellas. I use perfumers apprentice. Check out Wizard Labs located here in Orlando. Great prices. I'll have to try some drops in m coffee. I gained 3 pounds loading for 3 days so today is vlcd1. I was not really hungry just kinda empty. I miss eating. Woke up at 3 and could not go back to sleep. I know R.E.M. sleep is important for weight loss. Maybe tonight.......

o...you're right...quite a bit cheaper than I've been getting. (Cappella at about $3.29 at their own site and at Netrition, and more on Amazon) They actually carry the Capella flavors on that Wizard Lab site for the same $1.49 price.

Thanks for the tip...I see more flavors in my future! Let me know which caramel you think is the best one. I'll definitely be trying some of the chocolates.

I'm always so amazed the first day of VLC at how unhungry I am. I've come to like the empty feeling when I get it though. It usually means I am going to have a loss the next day.

first timer- putting it all out there

So today is my first time doing hcg. My step dad lost over 40lbs in one round on the stuff Im using. So I figured why not try it.

I was force fed a ton of meds from age 15-20 and no matter what I did I just kept gaining weight. Once I was off of them I still couldn't lose. Then I got pregnant and got up to 213 lbs. She is turning 1 tomorrow (time flies!) and I am now at 180 and can't get it down anymore. That is the weight I always get stuck at. My blood work came back perfect so I just don't understand. I eat healthy 85% of the time and exercise as much as my time allows. Usually with a baby though I have to choose between working out and getting enough sleep.... Sleep usually wins. But as she gets older going to the gym is becoming easier. My goal weight is 140. My hope is to get there with one round and then a Paleo diet/HIIT workouts.... I'm not looking for easy just effective so hopefully this works.

My reasons for weight loss.... I don't feel good about myself. I am only 23. I deserve to be confident in my own skin and I am not. I don't enjoy my marriage as much as I should when all I can do is criticize myself. I wanna be a sexy mama and wife. I wanna FEEL healthier. The way I should be. The person in the mirror isn't me and I need to take myself back. I also wanna think about having another baby in a year and I cannot do that without being at a healthier weight.

I didn't tell my husband that I've started this just yet because I want honest feedback. I'll tell him eventually when he starts noticing. :P So I am deinitely going to be on this site A LOT for support and answers. Speaking of which..... Im a little nervous because it seems that a lot of people are constantly doing rounds- because they gain weight back... Is that a common problem or is that just because of a return to bad habits? I know a lifestyle change is necessary and Im all for it but I don't want to live the rest of my life on a scale..... If I eat healthy 90% of the time and work out regularly shouldn't my weight stay down? Wont I be able to have a milkshake every now and then without gaining 5 lbs back????? Im really worried about this.....

Today is my first load day. I timed it that loading ends tomorrow after my daughters first birthday. I gotta say Its So freaking hard to stuff my face right now... It feels so gross!

Welcome to the group. I will try to answer/comment some of your questions. First (and I could be wrong), I think a 40 lbs loss with just one round is expecting a bit too much. You might need to do one long round and then one short but that may just be me being conservative.

There's a few reason you see people doing multiple rounds: 1) they have a lot to lose; 2) they didn't FOLLOW Phase 3 for stabilization -- this is KEY!-- 3) they had 'cheats' and didn't lose enough in their first round. Also, one needs to remember that this should be viewed as a way to get to your goal weight AND help you make a LIFESTYLE change. We can't use hcg to lose weight, then go back to eating whatever/whenever we want because we tell ourselves "oh, I'll just do another round".

You can do this & the group of people here are awesome!
