    Good Morning!

Today is VLCD 3. Down 3.8 from yesterday for a total of 9.4 (5 lbs is load weight). I always lose a huge amount the first few days because I think my body loves to retain water.

Good Morning to all. Happy Friday!! Today is VLCD4 and down 10 pounds. Let me explain. I had been on a diet with non-effective HHcG drops for a few weeks prior to the real HcG and had lost 8 lbs. I went off for a week and began loading. I loaded for 3 days and gained 3 pounds. After VLCD for 3 days, I am down 5 more for a total of 10. I don't get a big water bump because I always drink at least 12 glasses a day. I have been hungry but not starving. In my case, it is a marathon and not a sprint.

VLCD5 for me. Down .6 today for a total loss this week of 6.4 so far on my (hopefully) last round.

vern, I admire you getting back on after a bad experience. I'm concerned that you say you are hungry though. You might need a dose adjustment.

VLCD 4: down 1.4 this morning.

Mentally, I'm not doing as well as in previous rounds. Probably because I am losing weight that I have already lost. I just want it to be April already so I can see a significant loss. LOL

I am just wishing the time away, hoping to see the middle of April with fantastic loses. I started at 168, wanting to get down to 145lb for a wedding I am attending in May. A big party of us are going to the Dominican Republic. I have been on the drops before and lost the weight and kept it off for a year. Then I was made redundant and spent 5 months off work. You guessed it I cooked and baked most days. Weight went up again but I really did not notice it until I started work and could not fit into any of my work dresses. Then I started at the gym, 6 days a week, spin and weight training. I went down a size but did not lose any weight in over a year. I still have all my fatty bits on my hips, which shows as I wear low rise jeans, so then I have to hide with a jumper. I am hoping to at least get rid of the little old love handles. I find the salads boring so this week-end I am going to look through the receipe book and try and jazz my food up a little. I don't eat shell fish, beef, veal, liver or kidneys, so I am pretty much getting by on chicken. Can I replace the chicken with eggs? Does anyone know.

@Dakota: yes, you can replace a portion of protein with 1 egg + eggwhites a time or two a week, according to Dr. Simeon.

I know exactly what you mean about going up, but not noticing. I easily gained 10 pounds back before it started to make my pants tighter. Something about regaining internal fat or something like that.

Good luck...hope you make your deadline. Its really fun be ready for an event you've been looking forward to.

VLCD 5: Bummed to only have a .4 loss today so early in the round. I'm hoping I just didn't drink enough water or maybe it's stress.

VLCD6: down .4 for me too. I usually have bigger numbers the first week too.

Rhiannon: It helps me to remember that sometimes, a slower loss day isn't anything you have any control over. There are so many factors. Especially with women--the way we hold and release water is so unpredictable. All you can do is stay on program as your body sorts it all out. Hang in there!

Here's to celebrating any number that goes downward!

VLCD6: Another .4 loss. I know I shouldn't be so bummed, but I am. I usually see 1+ pound losses per day for the first 10 days or so. I wonder if it's because this is all weight I gained fairly recently.

Hanging in, and looking forward to warmth and sunny-ness this week.

VLCD8 and 2 day loss of 1.6 (didn't weigh yesterday). So down over 8 pounds so far from week 1.

I just love being out of the 150's again!

Congrats Rhiannon on some good progress. *thumbs up*
