Glad to see you check back in, Qvox. So many success stories don't get long-term reports, and its nice to see that you found your stride in not only maintaining your loss but losing even more.

Ketogenic seems to work best for guys, and it looks like you are doing very well on it. Unfortunately, it seems that most women that try to follow it long-term run into hormone issues. Gender matters in this case.

I'm doing well, and maintaining most of my loss, but haven't really found a key that lets me do so without constant vigilance.

How time flies, hard to believe it's been over a year since I last posted to this thread, and 4 years since I did hCG.

Me and my wife are still pretty hardcore low carb, we use states of ketosis to remain healthy, not so much for fat loss. My wife was prediabetic before joining me in this lifestyle. Now, her blood sugar is normal. I also convinced my father, who was using insulin injections and a couple of oral medications to correct his type 2 diabetes. Now, he's off insulin injections, and his oral medication has been cut to 1000 mg of metformin once daily (primarily for longevity, not blood sugar problems) His HC1 is now 5.5 ....so pretty cool.

While I think a low carb / ketogenic diet is the most healthy way to eat, I don't think you have to be hardcore keto. I think if Americans would just cut sugar, wheat products, and grain, they'd go a long way towards reducing or eliminating their metabolic disease.

I think people can eat fruit, just not the the super sugary fruit in large quantities on a consistent basis. But here are plenty of vitamin packed non sugary fruits. Also I think carbs from green leafy, and cruciferous vegetables are fine. So you really don't have to be a hardcore keto freak.

In any case, just doing my annual check-in, Hoping the other March 2015 hCG people are doing well!

    Cheers.

Great to see you report in, Qvox. Sounds like you've developed a plan that works for you. Certainly the goal we are all going for.
