VLCD14 - down 1.4. What a nice surprise I had on the scale this morning. No real reason that I can think of for such a nice loss. Tomorrow or the next day, I really hope to see 17something.

Hi Red Door. Will be nice to have someone on the same path. Have fun loading!
I never load and then my first few days are awful. Still have a headache but it's a lot less. Hope tomorrow it will go away.
I got the carb flu today. Just dragging all day and no energy and sometimes a little nauseous. Still did my hour walk with the dogs but it was tough to get through.
Hoping for a big week of losses. So far 4.3 in two days!
Hope everyone is having a good start to the week.

Oh my gosh, don't know how you do it! I'm miserable for a really long time if I don't load really well! Sounds like a rough day, hope it passes and tomorrow is way better. Nice losses so far!

I know that it helped him to understand the thinking behind HcG. However, he has insisted that some things like turkey, broccoli, cauliflower, blueberries... healthy foods are okay for me to eat. Keep in mind that deli turkey breast is high in sodium. I would never recommend it to anyone to eat off protocol but I know me and I know that if I don't have at least a few more choices, I won't make it. I stick to it as much as I can and for the most part do pretty well. But, I refuse to feel guilty about some turkey breast or a serving of green beans. And I'm losing weight. If I stall, I'll have to make some changes. Looks like we are all in the same ballpark with our weight loss so I guess turkey is my friend. Keep up the good work, Folks.
(First, Hello ladies, I started P2 on Feb 25, so I'm not really a "March loader", but in reading I came upon the above post, and couldn't resist replying to it)

I think your husband is correct.

Personally, I don't think there's anything special about the specific food choices in the original protocol, other then the diet is relatively low in carbs, fat, is fairly balanced, and is extremely low calories. The fact that it's extremely low calories is the key. I guess this makes me a "rouge". lol

Broccoli is on my "accepted" list of foods to eat, and I've lost over 27 lbs over the last 21 days. In fact, I think it's a great nutritional vegetable. Good carbs without the glycemic sugar spike of fruit. I also think baked or broiled turkey would be okay, I wouldn't buy it already cooked, and I'd follow the same preparation procedure for chicken (remove all visible fat, cook without skin, and keep the same caloric portion as chicken).

    Good luck.

I think you can make some minor adjustments as you see fit. I also eat broccoli. Asparagus and cauliflower makes me stall. I prefer to stay as POP as possible but I do go rogue with protein powder, broccoli and ground turkey.
VLCD 4 woke up to a -1.8. I think the headache will be gone Today.
    Have a great day.

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!

VLCD15 - down 1.0 and that puts me under 180! Yay!

I have decided to change my tracker at the bottom to reflect this round's progress, instead of my whole weightloss journey. It has now been 3 years since I weighed my heaviest (262 lbs) and I don't feel like I need to remember that weight every time I look at my posts. Especially since I have kept under 200 for a little over a year. Sadly though, I am exactly where I was last year at this time. In fact, my profile picture was taken almost exactly a year ago. That's me at 184. I did get to my initial goal of 165 last summer, but was unable to maintain. I know I will do better this time!

Wow Rhiannon, congrats at reaching a personal mini-goal. Thats great! An a pound loss at this stage is also great. Celebrating with you!

I think that was a good decision about changing your tracker. I like using the trackers while I'm on P2 so I don't have to always be listing all my stats when I'm discussing progress. I can certainly see how looking at those old numbers can mentally affect you.

My highest weight was 235. When I'm finished, I'll be 100 pounds (or more) less than that. But I certainly don't want to be dwelling on anything about how awful I felt and looked then.

I'm looking forward to adding "at goal" to my mini profile at the left soon. I'm half-way there this round and still 4 weeks to go.
