That's amazing. I'm so happy for you. That's got to be mightily motivating.

Today is my week 1 weigh-in (VLCD8) My total loss for week one is just under 7 pounds, which a good loss for my history. The thing I find interesting about this is that my last round, where I actually lost a pound during the load, the loss for week 1 was about the same. (This time I gained 1.5 pounds) Which means I actually lost more net weight the last time. Both were pretty clean omega fats heavy loads. That tells me that losing from my load is not something I can control, and last time it was just a happy accident.

Don't you love how flat your stomach gets when you are P2? That's the part I miss most once I move into P3.

I'm not sure I have it in me to do any more long rounds, so I admire your attitude, Cupcake. But in my case, my losses slow to a pound or so per week those last three weeks, so that makes it seem endless.

    Hi Leez,

Are you only weighing in weekly in this P2?

I'm weighing daily. I just like to record weekly loss totals to compare rounds.

This round, I lost about 2 pounds each of the first 2 days, and then about a half pound each day afterwards. I very seldom get pound or more losses once the first couple days of P2 are over. Its just dribs and drabs. But it all adds up in the end.

I'm holding (relatively) strong for day three. I didn't remember to weigh before getting ready this morning, but decided to hop on the scale before dinner and I'm about 2lbs lower than my lowest weight in the past two weeks, and 5 lbs lower than the last time I weighed, which was early last week. I was tempted to eat a few leftover chicken tenders but threw them out before too much damage was done. Tomorrow will be tricky, because there is a special going away dinner scheduled, but I'll try to order as close to protocol as I can and see what comes of it.

Hang in there tomorrow. Eating out on P2 is hard but not impossible. I usually try for shrimp ****tail and sliced tomatoes for my "salad" and ask for lemons. Seafood is usually a safer choice than chicken or steaks, as they are generally marinated, and since the fat in fish is the lowest of your protein choices, it helps cover you if a bit of oil gets in there somewhere.

My favorite P2 "go to" restaurant meal is always a broiled lobster tail with no butter and a dry salad. This is due to the fact that the lobster tails are never that big so I don't have to worry about exceeding my protein limit when i can't weigh it, and I can get some old bay and lemon juice sprinkled on it for flavor. Always have a normal loss when i have that. Also if my local market has lobster tails on sale, i'll buy and steam them for lunch or dinner at home as well.

Thanks guys, the restaurant has a couple of seafood options so I'm going to go for one of those.

-2.2lbs this morning from what I'm considering my start weight of 188.8. I lost about 8 lbs on my own over the past couple months but was yo-yo-ing within 3lbs above 188.8 for the past few weeks. I'm finally below that number. Yesterday I cheated few croutons. Better than left over KFC, but a couple in my salad turned into a handful later. I fully cop to being rogue after originally doing the diet for over a year, but I didn't like the feeling of panicking over a few pieces of stale bread because for me it's just a very unhealthy way of relating to food. Which btw is why I have never eaten the grissini on this diet. So for me croutons are out for now, not because I'm afraid of gaining on them just because I don't want to feed into that dangerous cycle of a handful of croutons feeling like a binge.

On the bright side, I did do well with yogurt dressing (35 calories per serving). I have always had my best loses eating Greek yogurt, so it's not much of a detour from that, and I had a bit left that was about to expire and wanted to spice up my lettuce. I'd like to try to make my own now usuaing the Greek yogurt that I normally have for breakfast, and see if that's something I can incorporate into my meals. A decent dressing or sauce might be actually keep me sane enough to add a week to my cycle. I loathe tomato bases sauces and most of the sauces recipes seem to call for them, which has made chicken much harder to stomach.

That was all over the place, just a bit of word vomit before work!

I find that there are a lot of mind games, coping mechanisms, and daily ups and downs have to be addressed and dealt with in this protocol for us to be successful. That's great progress for you, that you have figured out the croutons are a trigger food. Congrats on both that and getting into new, lower scale territory. I'm on the verge of that myself.

VLCD9 for me, and I'm down .6, which brings me to my last LIW (adjusted to 138) AND an old established set point. So I'm happy to get here, but SO hoping my body will ignore the number and just continue on downward. I've lost something each day so far. The reality is that it's the perfect storm set up for a long stall: End of first week, no break in losing yet, last set point, and old established set point. We'll see how it goes, but I'm getting ready to "embrace the stall".

I guess when I weigh in Thursday I will decide bc it will be 27 injections and if I go to 30 that would be Sunday with p3 Wed. I may lose a couple more lbs, haven't decided yet.
