Thread: March 2018 Loaders - Time for action

@Leez...Yes, still a victory, but I feel your disappointment.

I have also not had to lower my dose thus far and have always done so in past rounds. As you note, interesting data points to add to Mother Nature's Mix

Leez, a question. Do you think the seemingly very small amount of cornstarch added to most aspirin brands is an issue for corn sensitive people?

Yes. I had to change my thyroid med brand because of severe reactions to a "maize" filler that they sneaked in with an unannounced formula change. I noticed a problem right away with a newly filled prescription. And those tablets are tinier than aspirin.

Beware of maltodextrin too. It is a corn product that is extensively used as a supplement filler.

@Leez...thank you so much! I think I have been unwittingly shooting myself in the foot for several months now. Rats. Ok, onward! Always in research mode in the Quest for Wellness anyway Grateful that I have come this far from my darkest "sick time"...could always be so much worse.

I noticed that the change happened for me in tablets from a different supplier, or I might not have ever made the connection. The pills were a different shape on that refill, so I researched and found it was a different supplier. So that can mean a different source for ingredients, even if ingredients have not changed in name. You really have to be a detective.

Even if a filler ingredient doesn't affect you at first, the daily exposure can build up to a big reaction. I had such a reaction from a component of a BP med I was on. Rashes, hives, and big sebaceous cysts under my arms. It was pretty alarming to happen seemingly overnight. I've come to recognize the cysts as my bodies alarm bell for a long-exposure allergic reaction.

@Leez I think the daily exposure of a given substance may be the culprit many more times than I give credit as a probable cause for any present issue. I tend to latch onto what I deem is a "safe" substance with great relief, think I have added another "good soldier" to my rather short list of "this works for me" and leave it at that.

I was a bit surprised on this round, now halfway completed, that I have not realized the level of arthritis pain relief I usually feel on a round.

So, I thank you so much for highlighting this in the forum and will adjust my detective work accordingly.

    Hi everyone!

This week has been crazy busy at work, which has actually worked out as far as my diet. I've been in P3 this week, and with the exception of a tricky Sunday and being "stopped up" for most of the week, I've been holding within a pound of my ldw. I knew having P3 day one on a Sunday was risky, because having a whole day at home makes it easy to give into temptation. Which is the same reason I plan to start my rounds on the weekend even though it cramps my style a bit. Anywhoo, I actually did well that day, but my mistake was making a delicious dinner, drumsticks and shirataky noodles, with enough for leftovers. Needless to say, the leftovers didn't make it through the night. Otherwise, I went back to eating the same keto things I was before starting the round and I'm really excited that not only have I stayed pretty close to 1lb of ldw when I weighed, but I haven't had to do a correction day at all. This is unique for me because even though I always eventually stabilized, I can't remember not having to do at least 1-2 correction days per week during almost every permutation of P3 that I've done before. My stabilization usually happened during P4, but still with occasional corrections until I'd been at my goal weight for long enough to develop a new set weight.

I'm starting my load day for this next P2 cycle tomorrow, though I won't be doing a typical loading. Someone at work actually commented this week that I looked slimmer. So I'm excited to get back into the 170s over this next couple of weeks, and looking forward to getting to wear some of the clothes that I could still fit in even just 6 months ago.

VLCD26: loss 1.4 pound. (same pound I gained yesterday plus .4) Total loss: 12.6
    LIW: 133

I have one dose left, so this will be my last injection day.. Yay! P3 is only hours away! This puts me 2 pounds under goal weight, and I'm happy for any amount of breathing room there going forward. But once again, I am in awe that HCG works for me, even though I don't quite achieve the average losses. This round worked out to about .45 pound a day. But that is amazing for someone like me that can't lose any other way.

I'm hoping for a good drop during transition, which would be very helpful because I usually have a pretty volatile first week of P3. And this is also the first time I've done a round less than 30 days. (only 2 less, but still less, so expecting some challenges) That bit of cushion really helps weather those big jumps I get. Its a relief to see the end in sight. I'm really looking forward to P3 eating.

Interesting factoid--at least to me. Comparing daily loss average between this round and my last one (losing pretty much the same weight range). The last one was .4 even. This round was .45. So even though I lost a bit more (13.6) it was from a round that was 9 days longer. And I was taking lipotropics last time. That is a point of interest for those that wonder if lipotropics help. It doesn't appear that it did for me. My loss average this time was actually better without them. The one other different factor was that I didn't do any skip days this time. But even factoring that in, the average loss was still better this time.

Leez, Congratulations. I loved doing this round with you, I learned so much.
My week has seen a stall, -2 one day and zeros on all others. What I'm gathering from reading everyone's info is that this may be a very good thing and will help to stabilize in P3. My intention it to make it until Wednesday. -29 (.88 a day) is more than I could have imagined- especially with coming down with pnuemonia 2 weeks ago and taking antibiotics and a 10 day dose of prednisone.

I am just over the moon with how HCG works and am looking forward to my next round, possibly in August??

Thanks, I'm very happy with my outcome.
I dropped another pound since yesterday. That is astounding to me after yesterdays 1.4 drop. (Which is more lost in 2 days than the two week period right before it) So I'm even happier now knowing I will at least have that 1 pound cushion (and hopefully more) when I hit P3 on Monday.

You certainly have done well on losses, especially considering your challenges. You are only on a stall if you go 4 consecutive days with no loss, but those no-loss periods could still help with your stabilization, because it means your body took some time to equalize your water stores now. It looks like you have a very good chance of closing in on the 34 pound loss limit in the time you have left.

It's a little hard not to be jealous. I've never approached that possibility even on my first long round. But eventually I got there, it just took me a few more rounds.

Totally fabulous, indeed. I was expecting a gain today after that surprising pound+ drop, but woke up to another small loss. This is a number I haven't seen since the late 80's. I'm celebrating today by wearing a new pair of Vera Wang size 6 skinny jeans and a beautiful wool cardigan sized extra-small. Because...I can. (And because it is freezing cold here today. Wind chill 18 degrees!)

I can't even say how happy I am that I will have a decent cushion going into P3.
