March 2020 Loaders - The Main Thing

    Welcome March Loaders,
This thread is for you. Use it to plan, share concerns, ask questions, give and get support or use it as an accountability thread. Whatever helps you get through.

Title of this months group "The Main Thing" is a reference to the old saw "keeping the main thing the main thing" which is about focusing on your priorities. Its something we can all encourage each other to do---keeping our eyes on the prize. Remembering that its worth putting in the time and effort to get to the desired end result, a healthier lighter body.

I'll be around to help with questions as they come up. Disclaimer: Many people do different variations of the protocol, but my input will always be based on the original protocol by Dr. Simeons, and the experience of myself and others on these forums in following it.

Looking forward to sharing your victories!

My recent HCG round was with DietDoc. Our site owner has generously arranged for me to earn a small fee if you use my DietDoc or Nu Image Medical link to order your Hcg and supplies. I didn’t gain any weight on my two loading days. I ate a lot of fatty foods but I did do a lot of walking and I think I burned calories and zero’d out my gains. Should I do a third day of loading or start vlc day 1 of P2? Never had this happen before. I usually gain 2-3 lbs in past rounds.

    Welcome, kleenkut,

It can happen that you don't gain during loading, especially if carb intake is low. I've had a couple rounds with no loading gains. You are fine to continue on to P2 after 2 loading days.

    Hi,

So, I thought I actually had registered to use the site many moons ago, especially considering how much time I've spent reading it the past quite a few years. Apparently I hadn't, so I made it official today. My drops were shipped out from NuImage today, so I will hopefully start loading in a couple of days when they arrive. I have done the hcg diet before, and lost 60 lbs on it the first time, which I was able to keep off for 5-6 years until life and hormonal and emotional things threw a big fat monkey wrench into everything and I regained 30 of that. Fast forward to year before last. I went back on another round, lost 25lbs and was back down to 155 until last Feb. Things that have both affected my success (and cause me to put weight on) are: I have 3 teenagers with autism (stress city I have never really learned how to fully manage), a stressful job, school full-time (which is only going to get worse when I start law school this fall), and the biggest one-- failed dating relationships. Twice. Trying to date throws everything off!! I am a private person and don't plan on airing laundry, needless to say, I do need to figure out how to keep my emotions and my stress levels from a) derailing my efforts, and b) undoing my hard work once it's done.

I had attempted to try the diet again last summer, but bc I didn't succeed (daughter had to have a repeat surgery, followed immediately by an accident when we left the hospital, and a long recovery) and had to quit mid-way, the pounds piled back on and then some afterward. Because I was able to successfully keep the weight off for such a long period before (and I have held within the same two pounds since before Thanksgiving), I don't think it is a failure on the part of the diet, and maybe not even my metabolism at this point. The diet worked the way it works and I simply messed up the reset.

I just want to get ahead of this beforehand this time so I can be successful for the long haul again. I'm also 46 this time, and weight comes and sticks around differently now.

Anyway, if you have any thoughts or suggestions, I am happy to hear them! I'm ready to be lighter again, in so many ways!
