As I was saying, I decided to make yesterday my last dose. The last week or so I had been between 161-162.6. Finally, yesterday morning I woke up and I was 158.6. Id been telling my husband that I would just play this day by day on when to end because this coming Saturday the 27th would be 40 dose days but I've had 4-5 skip days. Sorry, I left my calendar with all the details at home but anyway I'm somewhere around 41 VLCD days.

This morning, after doing nothing different than the previous day, I weighted 161.6. UGHHHH. What the heck happened. So I decided I'm done and ready to go on to phase 3 and skipped my shot today. I went grocery shopping for some P3 foods to start on Thursday morning.

IDK what to do though. Technically yesterday was LIW but today I already weighed more than two pounds more than the LIW. If I'm still more tomorrow or the same should I do a steak day already or should I use today's weight as my base going forward?

I'm also hoping that it has something to do with my TOM which STILL has not come. I hope everything isn't all Messed up now. I didn't have this issue on my last round 10-11 years ago.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to having some avocados soon. lol.

Leez may tell you different, but I would take the higher of the 2 days as the weight I wanted to get in focus, not go over 2 lb . I say that because I wouldn't want to from day 1 think I needed a steak day. You may drop tomorrow morning what you gained yesterday and decide to use that weight, but if not, I'd take today's weight. It is just a number you know. If this is around TOM , it may all resolve itself anyway. See what Leez has to say, she it the person with absolutely best advice. I'm just saying I wouldn't want to constantly fight that 2 lbs. Enjoy P3 and hope it will be successful for you.

First are the batteries in your scale fresh? If not, that could have affected the scale numbers.

Second, TOM is notorious for water weight changes.

So with either instigator, you are unfortunately not going to have a clear direction for LIW. If you trust your scale, then I'd keep the lower number if you lose some over the transition and enter the first day of P3 somewhere near it.

However, you do not want to be doing a steak day the first day of P3. It would make sense to keep a higher LIW number in order to avoid that. If that number represents a temporary water gain, you'll drop back down when TOM resolves and you can get a better idea of where you body is really going to stabilize.

My scale is notorious for being inaccurate if I move it even half an inch. I have marks on the floor! Maybe also good to keep in mind. That said if there were no issues like this before, I'd think too that it is TOM and I would also take the higher weight. Having a cushion is good!

Leez, in Linda Prinsters book she has arugula down as a no in P2 and a caution food in P3...any idea why? Isn’t arugula considered a lettuce?

Thank you so much for your advice! My scale
Has not moved and I actually have two scales that I weight on because one does the whole body analysis and they were both higher. So hopefully it’s TOM coming since I’m really late.

Really appreciate the help. I was nervous about using the lower LIW and having to do a steak day so soon. You guys are the best.

On page 52, she gives the breakdown of how vegetables are treated for P3. But I don't see any connection there to the numbers, so I'm not sure why it is listed that way. My guess on why its not in P2 is that it is not considered a lettuce since it is part of the cabbage family. Kale is part of the cabbage family too, but is not a P2 food, so that follows.

Seems odd to me that it would be listed as a caution for P3, but I don't have a clear answer for you. My guess would be that some of her clients didn't do well with it in P3, but that is purely speculation.

I remember when doing Lynn Genet's The Plan, that arugula was considered pretty high on the reactive foods scale.

Hmmm. I always thought it was lettuce too.

It does seem odd...I’m pretty sure I’ve eaten it in P3 before without any issue but I’ll definitely be aware now when I do eat it.

Hello Everyone! Hope you've had a nice first week of Spring. A bit of a bouncy week for me though not unexpected after steady loss during the first half of P2, but hoping going forward back on track. Also how fun it has been to wear smaller sizes from my closet...ego boost!!!! Today I am at 16.6 lbs lost on VLCD27 of a 40 day round. With the warmer weather I am looking forward to grilled foods, especially turkey and chicken burgers. Hope you all enjoy a great weekend. Best wishes for success.
