I am feeling much better today! Ended up with the flu or something last week. Sore throat, fever and chills, slept almost around the clock for a few days. Made a lot of comfort food choices, but I am back to P3 today. Also started TOM today. I will wait to see what the scale says tomorrow.

Caligirl, how are you doing? Have you tried any P4 food yets?

I'm doing great. I tried almonds again and lost a half pound this time. I've had milk, canned chili, a hot dog, popcorn, bananas, and have been losing. I am eating around 1550 cal a day and doing 45 min to an hour of cardio 6 days a week. I'm also lifting weights and loving it. I was 174.6 this morning. I have been losing little bits daily for the last week after stabilizing at 176.0. I figure it's P4 and it's time to lose the rest. I'm trying to get to 150 by June by working out and eating a little extra fat and high protein. Oatmeal or beans maybe once or twice a day. I'm faithfully consuming veggies and having only 2 fruits a day. My dairy is cheese and Fage 0, which kicks butt as a ranch dip! I really believe I will get the weight off.

I'm sorry you have been sick. I really hope you recover soon and can get back to eating whatever makes you feel right.

It is great to hear how well you are doing. Rather inspiring for me. I haven't had a good week - finally figured today I must weigh myself if I am going to stay on top of this. I am 5 lbs over LDW. Kind of a wake up call. I haven't been back to the gym yet, but I am starting a yoga class tonight - assuming it isn't cancelled. We are having a nasty storm today. I have my sister and her family coming up tomorrow for the weekend. My neice is in a volleyball tournament here so they will be staying at my place. My sister just started Weight Watchers, so I am looking forward to talking to her and seeing how she is doing. Have a great weekend!

Hey Lisa. I know it is frustrating back in the real eating world. I am only doing this well because I am keeping a food journal and counting calories and carbs. I am religiously working out. My behavior has been obsessive. All I think about is how hard I have worked out and whether or not my diet is on track. If I didn't obsess this way, I would obsess the way I used to when I overate habitually and thought about food constantly. It's all mental at this stage. I was 173.8 yesterday and 174 today and that has made me grumpy all morning. How dumb is that? My LDW was 176.6. Why am I disappointed? I wish I could relax! I sure hope you enjoy your company and the tournament. Sounds fun! Take care!

Hi Caligirl! I had an awesome weekend! I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed watching volleyball. Almost made me want to play myself. LOL! I have been doing better sticking to P3 foods. Back to 172 (2 over LDW) today and checked my waist this morning - no change since LDW. I have been doing "spurts" of excercise over the weekend. I can't seem to do more than 5 minutes on the eliptical, but I have been doing it about 3 times a day and every so often do 2-3 minutes of step-ups on our stairs. I am also looking at fitness magazines and have picked up Jillian Michael's book to stay focused. I think you are doing it right - need to stay focused on the mental until it is habbit. I am feeling very motivated again. Congrats on being under LDW! My goal is to be under again by Friday. Have an awesome day!

Hey Lisa! Glad you had fun watching volleyball. I used to play in school and it is pretty exciting to watch. Glad you have been able to get back on track. Keep doing what you are doing with the elliptical. You will build up your cardio strength and be able to go longer in time. It sounds like you are educating yourself in fitness and nutrition too, and that helps so much! I use a website called Sparkspeople.com. It helps me keep track of my calories and has exercise demos on it too. I'm so happy for you that you have found your motivation and are making it happen for you. We worked so hard to get the weight off.
As for me, my LDW was 176.6 but it seems like my body likes to be 174. That is the weight I am at on most days. I am eating enough calories and working out enough where a normal person would lose 1 or 2 pounds a week, but I am not seeming to be losing, aside from being down 2 pounds from LDW. I will drop to 173, then go up to 175 the next day. Then a couple of days later will weigh 172 and go back up to 174. I get all excited thinking I have lost and then boom... 174 or 175 again. I guess this means I am stable. Maybe I should just work on being stable and try the weight loss in a month or so. Today is only week 2 of P4 and I guess it isn't wise to try to lose while trying to see how my body responds to new foods, and I am introducing everything slowly. I have been eating mostly P3 during the day and letting myself have a small serving of pasta, rice, low-carb tortillas, or beans with dinner so I can eat the same stuff my family is eating. I have had all of these things with no gains, but it seems like I they plug me up even if I drink lots of water. I ate meatballs and a biscuit last night and this morning I'm 174. That biscuit was heaven! . Well gotta go for now! Are you on FB? Maybe we should message instead of having to get on here to communicate since we are all that is left on this thread. TTYL!

Hi Caligirl! I am on SparkPeople too. Just sent you a PM. You sound like you are stable. That is awesome! I find myself slipping every few days, but then I do yoga or something and feel better again and if I stick to P3 I am right back to LDW. We haven't been able to start snowmobiling yet - the lakes are still a bit iffy. I am wishing now I had just gone right back to P2. I am so anxious to get this weight off. Are you active on any other threads? I was looking for an active P3 thread, but didn't find much. P3 lounge looked like it was going to be interesting, but it dwindeled just before we started. I find I am not on here as often as I was - maybe I should be. Have an awesome day!
