    Thanks Leez,

I appreciate you and your quick reply! Seems like this is a small group this month! I would have rather waited until after the holidays, but I felt so badly and nothing fit. I figure it will make me careful during the "cookie times" of the holidays! Sometimes if I wait I just have a devil-may-care type attitude and gain way more before I start. So starting right away nipped that in the bud ha ha.

Now I just need to find some good P2 soup recipes--as usual I am cold!

    Thanks again,
    RK

I did a round once that started in February--o my gosh...I froze to the point of chattering teeth the whole time. So never again!

My favorite P2 soup is chicken with cabbage "noodles" and lots of fresh chopped cilantro and cracked black pepper.

    HI Leez and group,

I have a question and could use your help. I woke up today to a .6 lb GAIN! Honestly I have been so completely POP this weekend even though I have been fighting a cold/flu for a week. Since I was so POP I was expecting a DROP in weight! The only thing I can think of is that usually I have been weighing myself at 10:45 AM when I have finally gotten my lazy but out of bed for good and today weighed in at 7 AM... Any ideas as to what could be the reason for this? Thanks!

Changing the time you weigh absolutely can mess with the result. You will almost always be heavier if you weigh a couple hours before your normal time. The reason is that you are losing moisture through breathing and your skin during those couple of hours. It makes a difference on the scale. My Sundays always start in the early wee hours, so I've learned not to ever weigh on Sundays. No matter what phase I'm in.

Weigh at your normal time tomorrow. I bet you will see that you got a misleading reading today.

    Other possibilities:
It is also not unusual to have a couple of days of uptick on the scale during a round just from natural water fluctuations.

If your inflammation from the infection suddenly got worse, your body could also retain some extra water.

None of these require any action on your part other than staying on protocol and getting good rest so your body can overcome the infection.

    Thanks Leez,

What you wrote makes a lot of sense. Now that I am feeling better I need to start weighing again earlier in the morning anyway before I leave for the day. Thank you again!

    Warmly,
    RK
