I've been lurking and keeping up with all the losing going on around here. Not much to report when you're basically in maintenance, so I don't post much. I have probably gained about 5lbs back since my last round, but I'm not too upset about it. It's easy to make food choices in P4 and I am mindful about eating to full, and not beyond that. Candy and sweets don't appeal to me at all anymore, so no problem with that.
I am still about 15-20 lbs from my ultimate goal, but pretty comfortable at my current weight. It's been about a year since my last round, so I'm thinking about doing another round here shortly. Last year I actually did Thanksgiving on P2. Not a problem since I was mostly in charge of the menu (we did a potluck). A bit of lean prime rib, shrimp, asparagus... No one would have suspected I was on a diet
Anyway, I was thinking about starting a round mid-November and going for 30 days. My only possible problem is that Dr has been testing my thyroid and changing medication strength every 6 weeks. Believe it or not, he has been lowering my dose because HE is not happy that my TSH is below 1.0. He has been testing T3 & T4 as well, but I don't think he has a clue how to read those results. ANYWAY, I figure if I get my blood test the day before I start taking HCG, I should be good through the round. If he prescribes another dose lowering, I'll just tell him that I didn't change doses right away and need to wait 6 weeks before another test. That puts me in mid-December for a 30 day round, and end of January for a blood test.
Last time I used hhcg and despite the 3X per day dosing, I think it was better than the hcg pellets and way cheaper too.
Am I thinking this through correctly? I've got two weeks to prepare mentally and clean out the bacon and avocados in the fridge. REALLY looking forward to the reshaping! I have to say that over this last year, my old shape has started to reappear a little. Disappointing, but I am still in a WAY better place than I was almost three years ago when I started this journey.
Hope there are a few others who might join me this time. It really helps me be accountable.
