November 2020 Loaders - New Beginnings

Welcome November Loaders, this thread is for you!

You've come to the day when you said to yourself, "now is the time", and this is the beginning of a new season in your life. The season where you take control and make positive changes toward your goals. This is your day for a fresh start.

Use this topic in whatever way will help you follow your plan. Discuss preparation plans, give support, ask questions, encourage each other or just post for accountability--its all good.

I'll be around to answer questions and my input will be based on the original protocol, and then you can make the judgement of whether that is right for you. We are here to support you.

Have a great round, and enjoy each other for this time.

Finishing up load day 2 today and ready for VLCD tomorrow. I've done numerous rounds over past 10 years but had back to back medical issues for last 3 years, multiple surgeries and a back injury that put me on bedrest for months and steroid injections=WEIGHT GAIN! I finally feel healthy enough to embark on hcg again. Losing weight would dramatically improve my health further. I loaded pretty clean but found I do best on rounds with some clean carbs in load. Steaks in butter, gluten free chicken tenders, pine nuts, mac nuts, brie, olives, bulletproof collagen bars, coconut yogurt, apples, frozen cherries, bacon, sausage sticks. Supplement loaded too with multi vit, vitamin D/K2, collagen, biotin, B complex, elderberry, colostrum, minerals and green/red superfood complexes. Stuffed and ready to go

First day of the VLC diet is mentally hard for me, but its worth it for the weigh in on the morning of day 2. Good luck!

Thanks for the well wishes! I'm usually relieved to get load days over with and do pretty well first 3 weeks. But I start to really struggle about day 30. I think my past mistake was not adjusting dose properly at that point. I think I started too low, then adjusted down which made things worse. Starting at 175 this time and work my way down from there. I was never an over-eater and very health conscious/athletic my whole life. My weight gain started with onset of perimenopause and hypothyroidism at 40. Suddenly everything I did all my life to maintain my weight just stopped working, plus all the horrible thyroid symptoms. No matter how many miles I ran, how lo carb or how low calorie I tried, weight just kept piling on. Took 4 yrs of misery to get a proper hypothyroid Dx and meds adjusted. Hcg was the first and only thing that finally worked for weight loss at that point.

So many of us find ourselves in that same position. I know that for me too, HCG was the only thing that worked for me. Now if I could just figure out this never-ending hot flash thing that wakes me up all night long and turns me into a walking zombie.

I've done both long and 30 day rounds. The 30 day ones are far easier mentally.

Hi Leez! Have you tried black cohosh? I get mine from Vitacost. I take one in the morning and keeps me comfortable at night as long as I use it consistently, if I lag off and don't reorder, the nighttime hot flashes return pretty quickly (within a week)

I've tried that and all the other remedies that work for other people, both herbal and BHRT. Sadly, none have worked for me. I'm giving micronized progesterone a try currently, but its not working either. I have one more variation to try--the time release form, and then I've exhausted all the options.

    Happy November everyone,

Iím on my first VLCD. This is round 2 after a successful round 1 last January. I maintained most of my weight loss from the initial round until about September when I gave in to too many carbs in the fall and gained some back. I was planning to do another round at this time anyway and still lower than when I started earlier this year, but still want to lose about 20 pounds.

Last round I lost on average .5 per day. I am hoping to do a bit better this time, but .5 per day for 40 days would be just about right. So now Iím just trying to get through the first 3 days to kick all of the cravings to the curb.

    That is so hard!
My flashes are finally gone, but I think they'll be back as soon as my round is over
