I'm so sorry you are dealing with hot flashes that stinksI have not had the pleasure yet, but from what I understand it's the estrogen drop in particular that causes the hot flashes. I have only experienced tanked progesterone symptoms and resulting estrogen dominance symptoms so far. Have you tried Estradiol patches and possibly some progesterone to bring estrogen/progesterone ratio back into balance? Chasteberry/Vitex + MACA also do a good job at balancing hormones.

Ugh. Not eating when you are frustrated, sad, stressed, anxious, bored, etc. is the hardest part. My husband and I got in a stupid fight and I am thinking about my kids’ Oreos. I haven’t eaten an Oreo since I was 12, so that’s ridiculous.
Its a challenge to find a new way that is not food to comfort yourself when you are stressed. I find I have to be really conscious of redirecting myself during those times. I don't have nearly the issue with it now that I used to. I think that has to do with long-term consistent nutrient-high eating. When I used to do stupid diets and was always restricting, it was so much harder.

Rose... so true...in my case I love cooking and baking... and that is a minefield... but generally I just create rather than devour.... but.
A Friend came up with an idea that can take me through this p3 and p4....
Related to a page she wants to set up... she asked me to make unusual fondant cake decorations and smaller items to jazz up themed sprinkles that is not available in the shops.... I have always been doing it for my own themed cakes but now just doing it to build up a supply... and is really relaxing and nice to have less TV time before bed time... and i will have sufficient stock to take with me to paint when we go away next weekend ... or i can just sit and make cake toppers ... keeping my hands busy

Checking on VLCD 10 so far pretty good, not hungry most days and no cheats. I had one evening where I started craving fats and sweets while looking up recipes, so I tweaked my dose next morning and it worked. I had some bleeding/leaking with injection that day so I'm wondering if I missed part of my dose and that triggered the brownie fantasies. I'm kind of a picky eater so I keep having to work at finding P2 recipes I like, otherwise I will just keep eating same thing over and over again. My biggest hurdle is not liking veggies unless they are slathered in oil or butter. Putting them into soups and sauces seems to be helping.
Good morning,
I am on vlcd 9. Down 7 pounds, which is good considering TOM started yesterday. I actually spiked a fever a couple of times yesterday to 102, which caused me to freak out and go get a drive-through COVID test (will have results today or tomorrow). But since I woke up today with no fever and my cramps subsided, I think it was all just a really intense start to my period due to the extra hormones. Awful! But better than COVID. With kids in the house and since we still see all 4 grandparents pretty regularly, I need to be sure.
