You got it. I actually started IF'ing just by using the info I got googling it first. Websites & bloggs like: the retired dieter, Leangains, Mark's Daily Apple, the Sam effect...there are so many, really. I was having such success just by winging it that I decided to take that $40 bucks and just purchase the Eat Stop Eat e-book! I'm glad I did. So much information & inspiration! Plus, I was doing the shorter daily intermittent fasting, and find I prefer the way Brad Pilan (author) suggests it. Which is two 24hour fasts per week. Just finished my second fast for this week, today!

    Good luck!

    Erin

Hi Erin!! Good to see your lovely face again!

I'm happy for you that you have reached your goal, although that means we won't be seeing you around here as much as before. Oh well, every silver lining has a cloud

Thank you for the information, I shall certainly look into it! Maintaining the lower weight is the hardest part of the diet, I found that out in P3/4 during the holidays , and any help there would be more than welcome!'
It's valuable information but I'm afraid not many of the old crowd frequent this thread anymore, I just still happen to be subscribed to it. Perhaps it would be a good idea to cross-post it to the main section, where more people can take advantage of your experience ?

Isabella and I are on the "January 2012 Loaders" thread of this section and Desire has just turned up there too, so if you want to know how we are doing, you could take a peek in there, we both post at least once a day.

I hope you look in once in a while, we miss you!

i used to do a 36 hour fast once in a while to maintain, usually after a weekend of bad eating or a vacation, i would come back and do a 36 hour fast (from dinner on sunday to breakfast on tuesday) and found that i was not only able to do it but it helped get me off the sugar/carb rollercoaster of cravings that the weekend or vacation put me on. and then i could easily eat well the rest of the week until the weekend. i think a 24 hour fast would be totally easy by comparison. you dont even have to go a whole solid day without eating. thanks for the info.
