    Thomy, have you ever done a short round, to drop quick? Like a two week round, p3 for 3 weeks then onto p4?

    I don't really feel like the hcg corrected my metabolism. Being on the FMD, other people are telling me to hang in there and let the program heal metabolism. At this point, two weeks in, at 135, started at 136, but started my period that day, too. Week 1, was down to 134. But today was 135! People telling me to hold on, but caved today and cheated, don't even want to weigh tomorrow! Also, straightened my hair and I look like a drown rat today, and next two days! Doesn't help the self esteem!

    I feel like a junkie. Did the Hcg, couldn't hold it, did another round, pattern is just repeating itself! I feel the best on the dang Hcg! Uggg. I haven't noticed a huge change in feeling on this diet because ate clean before. I may break down and pay for phone coaching!

    I understand your frustrations. I finally gave up at day 40 with only 10lbs gone! I was going to go an extra week but could not bring myself to it. I am on day 3 of no hcg but adding in some cheese anyways - can't take a boring plate anymore. My friend gave me a diet that sounds a lot like the one your doing. It is loaded with veggies and lean meats - very little grain and oil, and you can have some 0 fat cheese's. Been debating if I want to do it. It allows for more calories but you have to eat your snacks throughout the day and I am not good with that - I do not have time to be making protein drinks and such between meals. She said you gain at first and then you lose you must do 30min's + a day of exercise which will be no problem - I may try it in p4 but not sold on it. If your not losing not sure if I want to do it. This one is supposed to get your metabolism revving by eating more just the right kind of food. I do need to get my metabolism going. She had a personal trainer put a plan together for her and her husband so I may try it. My sister in law is doing it as well - so I think ill ask her how she is doing. She has done hcg with me before but could not bring herself to do the 500cal thing and she also did not stabilize with it. I am just now going to try and not regain the weight I just lost and hoping to go down a couple of pounds in p3. fingers crossed.

    I broke down and paid for coaching from FMD. It was worth it, because I had a low Thursday and Friday. It helped.

    Recap: I lost in week one. Started at 136 ( however, realistically it think I was around 134 because my first weigh in was the day TOM started.) I had been struggling to stay under 133-132. Dropped to 133.5 first week. But cheated, and with phase appropriate items (cocoa, cocnut oil, almond flour, except coffee in these cookies, ate 3 of them, plus handful of chocolate almonds) and I jumped to 135.5 the next day! That was over a week ago. So I cheated last Thursday and Friday, and finally today I am at 135, two days worth of losses So basically I gained the second week. Started third week last Saturday. Coach helped saying that sometimes your body has to adjust. This makes sense, as I wasn't consistent with fruit and had cut back on grains to practically zero (not really great with Adrenal issues). My first week, I was very bloated with the grains phase 1. This weekend, pretty much ate the same items but was not bloated like first weekend. I started on a Sat because it made more sense for my life. It is plenty of food. Just when I start to feel hungry, it's usually time for a snack or meal. You can have unlimited veggies of phase, so celery and jicama have been a filler. But you do need to prep. You would have to be organized so that you had your snacks and lunch. I think it is hard to eat out during P1&2, because you can't have oils. But she does give recipes on her website and several in the book. I have used it as springboard and adapted from there.
    I do miss cheese, but haven't craved it. Coach talked me off my decaf. I have been doing 1-2 Kombucha's, ones with no sugar added, only essence. That has been a treat. Found a soda called Zevia, which some stores Cary the caffeine free cola with no artificial flavorings or aspartame. I am realizing that this will probably take longer than the 28days, which she says you just keep going to get to goal. But I don't feel deprived. During P1 I have blackbean burrito with brown rice tortillas. This feels great, I also make her French toast with a strawberry syrup on it. Tasty. The protein days are actually easy for me as this is mostly how I was eating. We shall see....
    You sound like you might need to shift off wheat.....sounds like you are sensitive to it. Bummer, but there are alternatives that aren't too bad tasting. But you do have to watch gluten free founds as they can be loaded with sugar and starches to make them taste good. I try and bake my own stuff. I do use some crackers, rice cakes, brown rice tortillas....
    My kids just asked for Nutella...I bought it...I love it! I think it is loaded with sugars. I let them have it every now and then, but trying to teach my kids moderation, and to bake from scratch

    So I had bacon and eggs last night - it was sooo good. I went down about .6 - which I gained my 2nd day of no hcg - so I am happy about that. So I am sitting at my ldw - hoping to go down a couple more pounds to end the round! Enjoying Chicken, salsa, lettuce, sour cream with some laughing cow cheese for lunch it is so good! Enjoying food much more now. Wow it sounds like your getting it figured out. My sister in law is down 9lbs in 3 weeks doing a diet similar to the one your trying. She is happy with it. My friend who is doing it with her is down 6lbs - she is very petite and does not need to lose that much so her results are slower but you can see that she has lost - I would have thought she was down 15lbs - so the results are showing. I think in p4 I will try her diet and see how my body responds to it.

    I have some gluten free pretzels that I like to dip in the nutella - really yummy snack!!! Yes it has lots of sugar I checked to see if it was a little bit p3 but no it isn't - but I did pick at some yesterday as I was craving chocolate - I am going to have to make some cocoa crack for the cravings.

    So been good until today - had some goodies at a bridal shower that were not p3. Been keeping just below or above ldw so far so I hope today did not ruin that for me - back to p3 tomorrow and may have to do a steak day!\

    momsocal I hope your doing well on your plan!

    I have thought about doing a 2 week round just to get rid of holiday weight after holidays - but have not done that yet. Make sense just to get back to our pre holiday weight.

    Yes, I am thinking this too! Where do you get your hcg?

    I am going to Cabo end of month...so have probably missed the boat to be able to do it before then.

    I am totally frustrated on FMD! I was down to 133 last Thurs, then jumped overnight to 135, in P4, which is the healthy fat phase and I have gained every time! Two days into 4th week, have cheated both days...up to start weight 136 this am. That didn't stop me from consuming a piece of mud pie! Ugggggg

    I will finish out the week....but seriously contemplating rush ordering! I can see the fat back in my thighs and back of love handles, so disappointing. I really just can't eat ANY sugar....how sad is that?

    I am up as well 1.6 from my cheat and then on top of that my TOM has started! It sounds like this FMD IS NOT A SUCCESSFUL plan! Cabo sounds so nice right now - we r just starting to warm up now - past 2 days were above freezing! I order my hcg from over seas! It always takes forever so I order enough for a few round each time! Mud pie sounds so good right now! YUM! I have not had that in years! I hear ya about eating - even though I did not eat. P3 at the baby shower I was still careful and had small portions and lots of veggies and fresh fruit - I would like just once to not have to have negative results for enjoying life and food! I watch the thinner ladies eat and they usually eat way ore than I do! Hmmm so not fair!

    So I have not had to do a correction day yet - I am 1.6 over my LDW but hope to get lower soon. Doing higher protein days lately. So when do you leave to Cabo? I wish I was going with you. We are heading to Utah the end of the month to drop my son off for his missionary training and then he will be going to Winnipeg from there to serve his mission. I am looking forward to the time off - I just wish it was some place exotic! There is lots to do in Utah though and we have some friends and family there so well still have a good time. Hitting the outlet stores in Park City is one of my high lights of the trip and can't wait to do that!!!

    Hi, sorry for absence. Was busy cleaning last week for party at my house on Saturday. It went well. Had one glass of wine, and caved for my hubby's homemade mud pie!
    Today was day 28 of FMD. But last Sunday, in a panic, I ordered some homeopathic hcg pellets and received them yesterday. Started them yesterday and loaded today. I did not lose any weight on FMD, in fact I think I gained two lbs and became fluffier despite my workouts.
    I have decided to try an experiment...a cycling of sorts. Loading today, and since I started it
    Last night, I can already feel it in my system as I am rather full today. I ate normal, but had a donut, and a handful of mini peanut butter cups. I don't consider that that heavy of a load, but I'm stuffed. So....going to do 8 days, purge from system for 2 days, then eat P3. This means I will be eating P3 in Cabo, but who cares. I'm captive in hotel. 3 meals, and i am bringing some beef jerky and nuts(not protocol....?) for snacks. I am crazy, but for four weeks I have watched myself eat clean, with hiccups, but not severe ones, and no loss. I felt best in P2, because that is how I was eating previously. My new goal, is to get into hcg P3 and maintain with some FMD tricks. I plan to incorporate more veggies at all means and snacks, but to eat fruit too, and eat a little grain. I never felt so hot in p3 FMD, and didn't sleep well either, so I am going to listen to body.
    After being on another forum and hearing another lady's issues, I think my adrenals and thyroid are huge components here. I think that even though my thyroid is under control (adrenals still lagging, but much better than a year ago), that it is like an injury....when people have shoulder surgery, their shoulder is never the same. I think my system may never be the same again either and I am fighting am uphill battle. I really tried to except this person in the mirror, but I just couldn't forget the one 6lbs slimmer! Doesn't sound like a lot, but it makes a difference. Yes,I am a perfectionists, but am also working on this. With this being my 3rd round, I figure I have learned some things now, and want to give it another go.
    We leave for Cabo in two weeks. I will be gone for 5 days. I am not a huge drinker, so it's not like I plan on lounging at the pool with piña coladas (well, maybe a sip of hubby's!) I actually find it easy to do program traveling, in P3, where you can have fats. If I gain while away, I will cycle back on upon return and get it under control. I am hoping if I am really good and no cheats, that I can drop at least 4-5! I'm just not sure if I will see an immediate re shaping, in terms of visibly seeing it come out of my legs.
    It came out of my legs last. I am going to continue on with my Pilates class and have started yoga up again for last two weeks. This really helps tone my upper body and core, but my legs....they just don't get the memo....Uggg.
    Soooo, I will keep you posted on progress. You sound like you are doing well. I actually finally got to a point of mentally adjusting my LDW up 1 from last round, but then that number just kept climbing....I weighed 136 at start of fmd(but started TOM that day, so I really would have been around 134, but finished yesterday at 136.5, and today was 139 due to period starting and pig out. Ohhh I did not like that number today! May be scary tomorrow too......
    I love Park City! I bet it will be a pretty drive? Never been north of that. Considering a visit to Vancouver, BC? It always looks beautiful in pictures. I hope your son gets a fun place for his mission!

    So I am just sitting above my ldw and that is just fine as long as I am still with in my limits. I am almost done p3 now but will continue eating p3 with some occasional p4 eating. It is too bad that the other system did not work for you. My sister in law has had good results with it, but I am worried I may be more like you. I wanted to try it when I reached p4 but now I am nervous and do not want to gain so I think I will stick with my original plan eat p3 load over Easter and do another round before summer. I have wanted to try cycling when I am closer to goal but may do it sooner if I can not seem to stick to these long rounds anymore. I am glad your party went well. I have a large gathering this weekend as next weekend my son leaves for 2 years and so we are doing a farewell party for him where friends, family and neighbors can all say good bye at once - easier then having him go around to say good bye to everyone. I am going to eat p3 at this with a bit of chocolate to dip my fruit in, but we are doing a taco bar and a chocolate fondue bar with it. I can eat a salad with all the taco toppings on without the chips or wrap - I am looking forward to this salad. Our weather has just been above freezing most days now but still would love to go to cabo for the break! As always I am very busy at work and that makes it hard to come home and be motivated to make a healthy dinner. I am so exhausted after a full day at work, it is a mental exhaustion more than anything! Keep me posted and I will try to be better also about logging in to chat!!!!

    Well if you are sitting just above, 1lb? Doesn't sound too bad.

    I signed up for Haylie's newsletter, and you might want to, because I do like the recipes she sends out....like her nacho cheese dip (sans cheese!). At least her recipes are healthy with alternatives, like she has one for a chocolate sauce with grapeseed oil in it.

    You could try FMD for just a week and see what you see on that week. Since you are already eating clean, and it is a clean diet, you might see if you loose any? 1 week shouldn't do too much damage, or try it the week before Your next round and see how you feel.

    I have noticed some days, my skin looks fabulous. If I eat sugar, or didn't sleep well, I look like poop. Literally, my right eye droops in the morning, and eventually will look normal in a few hours (after rehydrating?) you should see how much water I drink, it's crazy. I have switched off my decaf in the am, and am using Dandelion Root tea per FMD recommendation to help body hydrate more efficiently. I noticed on FMD, if I was closer to recommended amounts of water that I didn't loose, but when I kept closer to over a 100oz, I did better....crazy. So, as well as tracking my food, I am also going to track sleep better, and visual appearance. This might help clue me to potential food allergies.

    I am kinda hungry today and my stomach growled all morning at a Moms group I was at! I am at day vlcd 6, so I hope these pellets are effective! I don't want to be the casualty Dr. Simeon mentions re trying to do a 500c diet! I am losing, down 5, in those few days. I can start to see coming out of arms and stomach, but I really want it out of my legs!! It came out of there last.... Party sounds fun, of course another temptation.... you could try making some chips out of brown rice tortillas. You can use the excuse of eating them that you are now gluten free! This way, no starches in them.

    Where do you get your Hcg from?
