October 2018 Loaders - Overcoming Immunity

UPDATE: This group was originally called "Overcomers". It has turned out that a couple of our round buddies have challenges they believe may be caused by having reached immmunity in a previous round. Its gone on to become quite a good conversation about both the challenges and strategies dealing with immunity, so we have renamed the group "Overcoming Immunity"

Hey to all of your starting your HCG round in October 2018. This is your thread to use as you like.

Gather with others planning and beginning their October round and share support, concerns or just post for personal accountability--its all good.

I'll be around to help sort out questions, confusions, and concerns. Disclaimer: my input will always be based on the original protocol. You are free of course to follow any plan variation that you think will work for you, and you will be supported in that. We want you to be successful.

It is fun to see how each months' group shapes up. Often there are veterans doing a round, or some will pop in to give some encouragement or tips based on their experiences. Peer support is usually the most helpful, because you are all going through the same thing at the same time. Empathy is powerful!

October is a perfect time to hunker down for some serious self-renewal, as it is in between the summer fun and the coming holidays. This is a time to focus on YOU. Wishing you all success as this new group journeys on together.

Hi! This is my - probably 3rd round when I did two rounds in 2016 and lost 30 lbs. This time, I am doing injections through my naturopath. I have always used pellets before and I am finding as I am on my 1 day after loading for 2 days, (so 1st day of Phase 2) that I lost during my Phase One! I'm not sure if that is normal - I am doing 15 ml for my shot. I went grocery shopping today and picked up steaks, chicken, and lean ground turkey and beef. I'm so determined to lose weight this round. Right now I'm at 228 (231 pre loading)
and want to be about 215 at the end of this 21 day round. My goal is 30 lbs loss by Christmas which I think I can definitely do!

Welcome, and yes, losing after the 2 loading days happens sometimes. I had a loss on loading days on my most recent round. Its perfectly normal although not common.

I'm assuming your dose is 150iu from your post. That is a good starting dose for most people. If you find you have hunger issues during your round, that means you likely need a dose adjustment and we can help you with that.

My best advice on starting into a round is to read and re-read the original protocol. It not only helps you get it right, but is helpful in keeping your motiviation up. I have a couple notes for your consideration:

Turkey is not on the original protocol. Some that have tried it experience stalls and/or gains. It is very hard to find beef that is lean enough for the protocol. If you find your losses at a standstill, it could be caused by hidden marbling in your beef. Also, sometimes the combination of beef and tomatos can cause stalls for some.

If possible, you may wish to consider doing a longer round than the minimum 23 injections, since you need more than one round. Best stabilization occurs with rounds that are 30 injection days are longer.

    Good luck and happy losing!

Hi Leez, Thank you for all your tips and suggestions! The Phase 2 I'm quite familiar with; just not the injections. I am going to see how turkey does affect me as I've never tried it before. Tonight I felt quite hungry but I suppose that's just me wanting to nibble and snack. Hopefully tomorrow is a good loss! Thanks again!

Hey all! I am planning to join you this month for another round. Planning to start October 19, after several social events are out of the way, and then go 30 or 32 days until just around Thanksgiving. I will see how things are going at that point and decide to stop or continue, depending on how I feel. We don't really celebrate Thanksgiving in any big way since we don't have family/friends nearby, so it would be easy to just cruise on through that holiday with no big temptations.

I'll be trying hhcg this time since I struggled so much with the RX pellets and dosing the last round. I've seen several folks on here using hhcg and it seems to work fine for many. Fingers crossed I am one of those too.

My last round ended 3/23, so I know I have had a long break in between and I have been "practicing" stabilizing all summer. I am thrilled to report that even though I bounced up a couple of lbs over LDW, I have had no problem staying in the 130s and pretty much eating what I want. I will admit though that I steer clear of most carbs and only allow myself a little sourdough bread now and then, and perhaps some breaded cod once a week. Once I learned about all of the awful additives that fast food companies use, I have no problem saying no to that either. Sugar is completely off my list and is not a temptation at all anymore.

While I am not looking forward to giving up avocado, bacon, eggs and cashews, I AM looking forward to getting rid of a bit more "fluff" around my middle. I just keep reminding myself that it is only for a few weeks, not for a lifetime

I will start posting more as the time draws near. Hope everyone has a great losing week!

    Hi Lisa,
No you don't need to do a skip day if you end your round at 30 dose days. However, if you think there is the possibility you might decide to go longer than that, you can start skipping a day a week now.

Me too! I've had to wait an extra week because my HcG was held up in customs (I order from Canada) and it should be here tomorrow. So Linda, we will be in super synchronicity! I'm planning a thirty day round, how about you?

    Hi Tracy!

Planning a 30 day round as well. Should have me finishing up around Thanksgiving. We're not planning anything special, so it shouldn't be a problem. Will decide whether to stop there or do a PI or what. I'm thinking I will decide based on my mental frame of mind at that point.

Glad to have a synced up buddy for the round!

    Happy Friday everyone!
