    Hey All!

Tracy - you just burst my bubble! I was feeling great about my losses and then you post that you're down 5 lbs. Phfst No, actually, I am happy for you! Ain't it great how this whole thing works? But do get your protein in... We don't want you fainting or something.

That Betsy - I'll have to have a chat with her! For me, as I posted earlier, I get into the pre-loading mindset and allow myself to have treats a little too often. Normally I will have some sourdough bread and then eat super clean for 3-4 days, but when I get ready to do another round, I'll have sourdough and then 2 days later, breaded fish tacos, etc. Somehow I think it's OK to skip the eating clean days in between... Grrrr Maybe I will just plan on doing a correction round once a year or something - or, I'll learn to stick with the maintaining mindset.

I agree with you about the structured eating being a lot of work. Not my cup of tea either. I did buy The Plan book, read it and decided it was too much prepping and planning as well. I'm the type of person who decides at 3pm what to have for dinner. Then I have to quick thaw something in a pot of water My best days are when we have leftovers from the night before. No planning at all!

AFM: P2D4 - DOWN 0.4 this morning. I know, not a big number, but down is down! And for me, several days of being down in a row is a big win. I feel much better this round so far on the pellets. Yes, taking them 3 times a day is a chore, but I've got a schedule going. Morning dose either when I get up to pee around 5 or 6am or after I have my coffee in the morning. It doesn't seem to matter. Then I set a reminder on my calendar for 2pm and the last dose just before I go to bed at 9 or 10pm. I feel good and get just a little hungry around noon and 5pm. Hungry goes away when I've eaten my portion of veggies or protein and has never been more than an empty feeling, so I think the dose is good. Plus, I am FREEZING. The weather has been in the mid-70s, but here I am in long pants and long sleeved shirts. I even had a jacket on most of yesterday inside the house which was 74 degrees. DH thinks I've lost it

    Have a great losing humpday!

Oh Linda, you are not going to like me today. I'm down another 3 lbs. What???? I even weighed myself on a second scale. Maybe still inflammation?
and again, I did not have supper. I had a boiled egg around 9 am and then a big salad with beef strips around 2 and my blueberries at 4, a couple crackers around 9pm. Tons of water with acv.
I don't know if I have super potent HcG or what is going on.
I'm sure it's an anomaly and my numbers will even out over the 30 days. And my ring fit nicely this morning :-)
But you're right about the protein, I always over serve myself on that when I'm on P2. I'll sacrifice the fruit and cracker calories to enjoy more protein.
I love the freezing feeling! I sleep so much better on HcG, no hot flashes at night to wake me up.

Today I'm making my seafood soup, P2 style. What's on your plate today?

Tracy - You go girl! I am continually amazed at how our bodies can hang onto inflammation and water.

Your menu sounds pretty rogue, but hey, if it's working for you and your rings are looser, that's great. I noticed yesterday that my rings are more comfortable too. I had them sized after my last round as additional incentive to keep the weight off. So far, so good.

AFM: DOWN 0.6 this morning. YAY! That's 2.6 lbs in 5 days. Right on the half pound per day average. I'll take it!

Compared to yours, my menu is pretty boring. Last night I made "taco salad" with 97/3 ground beef. It was tasty, but I couldn't even finish my 3.5 oz portion. Tracy, you would be so proud of me - I didn't cave into the Clean Plate Club mentality and just pushed my plate aside. DH kindly polished it off, so I don't have to feel guilty about throwing food away either Today is chicken for lunch and I'm thawing some lean filet mignon for dinner. Strawberries, celery and lettuce are also on the menu.

I also realized late yesterday that I'm not getting all 4 of my bottles of water in. Probably only about 3. I'm being more mindful of it today and will make a point to keep the volume to at least 4 bottles.

    Have a great losing Thursday!

    Hi Tracy, LinderLou,

Hope you don't mind me joining the conversation - you guys are so inspiring.

I love your comment about the "clean plate club", I so have that mentality... and am working on not doing that.

My last round was abysmal and was abandoned due to multiple problems with out dated medication, dosing problems and I had ZERO losses, but I'm back.

I'm on VLCD 2 and down almost 4 pounds, it feels good to see the scale going in that direction, finally.

Wishing you both every success... while wondering about my sanity doing this just before I head to Italy... *lol*

Hi Kimberly! Welcome and join on in!

Tracy and I are Loading buddies from back in February of this year. The more, the merrier! We were both longstanding members of the Clean Plate Club and have had to unlearn that behavior. I've personally been working on that for over ten years and it gets easier with time and ziploc bags, especially the snack size ones

Sorry to hear about your failed/abandoned round. The rounds I did in October of last year and February of this year only amounted to 5 lbs each, which seemed to come right back on in a few months. I feel that it was a combination of an old weight set point and not being successful in adjusting the dose of RX pellets. I think they were way too strong and even though I tried cutting them down it didn't seem to affect anything. This time I'm doing hhcg pellets and so far I seem to be doing better.

Wow, 4 lbs in 2 days is fabulous! You're right up there with Tracy!

A trip to Italy sounds wonderful. Are you planning to wrap up your round before you go, or just do a PI? I'm in a conundrum about Thanksgiving. If I stop before, I will have 30 days done, or if I do a PI, I could realistically get in another 10 days. I will decide as I get closer. If things are going well, I may just say no to any T-day treats and just power through (remind me to read this on November 18th to decide.)

Have a great losing day and hope to see you on here often!

    Hey ladies! Welcome Kimberly!
well, my crazy drop was a fluke. I got back two of those three pounds from yesterday. So 6 lbs in 5 days and now the trickle losses begin, I bet. Buy boy, that first week is fun, isn't it?

I'm on the fence too about Thanksgiving, last year I stayed P2 easily. We had roast beef instead of turkey and I had asparagus. I did a PI in July pretty successfully, so I could go your route Linda and do the PI.

Linda, I'm good with water during the week days it's the weekends where I seem to drop off. Less structure means less structure...

well happy Friday everyone! I'm super glad it's here, this week kicked my a$$.

TGIF! Glad to have gotten through the week as well!

Tracy - sorry the two pounds found you again. 6 lbs in 5 days is still a win-win. Roast beef for T-day sounds like a good alternative. Maybe we will do a prime rib... I can navigate through the lean parts and have asparagus or just a salad. That way we can make mashed potatoes and other stuff for everyone else. I'm good a shuffling food around my plate so it doesn't look so sparse I think this might just be a good alternative. Thanks for the idea.

I did get all my water in yesterday. Weekends are less structured for me as well, but I try to always have a bottle of water available, if not in hand. My problem with weekends is that if we go somewhere, I'm not always sure there will be a bathroom available. After all, a lot of water in = a lot of water out...

Kimberly - how was your day? Hope things are still moving downward for you!

AFM: DOWN another 0.5 today! YAY. I did good yesterday sticking to plan, although I started having my doubts about the hhcg as I got hungry around noon and 4pm. I know a little hunger around mealtimes is normal, but it is new for me, so I worry. As soon as I ate, it went away, so I'll just try not to second guess things. The steak last night was really good - very tender and juicy. Today is a chicken and shrimp day. I'll feed DH the leftovers in the fridge so I'm not wasting food (Mom would be proud)

Have a great Friday all and weekend too!

    Hi ladies,

I am back for a short R4, doing 3.0-ish protocol: 700 cals, 30g fat, 60 to 65g protein. I'm down 4 lbs in the first week. I did no loading, I figured my keto fat stores are high enough.

After I finished R3 in March, I switched to the keto diet and maintained 142 - 144 lbs. I don't tell people about HCG unless they press; they think keto is hard enough let alone VLCD!

    Happy VLCD'ing, all!

Also - I have been using FatSecret.com for daily tracking, they have a good app and link to a huge database of foods.

They also have a lively forum that debates various diets. We don't talk about HCG though - some very judgemental folks rain all over it when it's mentioned.

Good morning and welcome back G! It's nice to see you on here again. I'm so grateful to have this protocol as a tool to fix, maintain or whatever I need it for. And I love the support from all the posters on all the threads. I try to read everything, I'm just lazy and don't reply to any of it.

Except for Linda! She's the Oprah to my Gayle :-)

I had a late night last night and slept in. Weighed at 8am and was down a lb. fed the cats, went to back to bed and weighed again around 10:30 and was down another 1.5 from the first number. Checked on the other scale and got the same reading. In fact I had a dr appt yesterday, came home straightaway, weighed and my home scale read a half pound higher.
This is already an interesting round for me, I think I stop weighing and just keep moving and measuring!!

I am very hungry this am and today is a skip day. Curious as to how I'll feel after 4.

Nice 1/2 lb drop Linda! G - how much are you targeting to lose?

    Hi Tracy,

No target, just as much as I can. I typically lose only 5 to 7 lbs per round, but this time I'm using left over (frozen when fresh) HCG from my last round. So I'll see where I get to!

    Happy Saturday all!

Gz - welcome back. Well not because you needed to be back, just cuz we missed you. It sounds like keto is working well for you and you're just fine tuning Ya - people can be real judgy whether in real life or on a forum, but especially on a forum because it is so anonymous. I am so sad that hcg is so controversial. It could help so many people...

Tracy - Crazy numbers for you, but by my calculations you are down 8 or 9 lbs now? I step on the scale as I am walking out the door to a dr apt just to check against their scale. If my weight when I get there is within half a pound, I'm good. I think weighing every day is one of the things that has held me accountable with managing my weight and identifying problem foods. I'ma keep doing it Anyway, congrats on the losses so far - hope your skip day goes well.

Oprah - hah and lol! I wonder how she would do on hcg? Just sayin'... she has struggled so much on the weight-loss front.

    Kim - where are you?

AFM: Well, yesterday was Friday, so I caved and had a glass of wine after dinner with some friends. I completely forgot my fruit yesterday, so I figured I might be OK. Annndddd - drumroll - I WAS! DOWN 0.8 this morning to 139.7 - YAY, happy dance, back into the 130s! That is a total of 3.9 from my post-loading weight. Not crazy great like you guys, but I will take it and hope it continues at the .5 rate. Slow and steady as they say.

So, last night we talked about Thanksgiving dinner with our friends. We are all basically orphans (no family, or at least none nearby) so we try to make a T-day friends and family plan. We kind of settled on a plan of doing a potluck dinner at our friend's new house. I suggested prime rib and everyone was onboard with that (thanks Tracy) and said everyone can bring what they want as far as salad, veggies, etc. So I'll bring asparagus and a salad and we'll probably all chip in on the prime rib. The cool thing with doing prime rib instead of turkey is we don't have the drama of stuffing, candied sweet potatoes, cranberry jelly, etc. Much larger selection of foods that "go with" the main protein. I'll just have to make a point of staying out of the wine

OK, that's my report for the day! Gz - just wanted to say that I am so grateful for THIS forum because everyone here understands and supports the hcg protocol. And also wanted to tell you that you don't have to be in a round to participate. I don't post as frequently when in P4 because there's not much to report, but I try to keep up with the Likes and Thanks as much as I can.

Have a great weekend all! Happy losing!
