Well, I didn't get to keep that half pound and ended up giving back 0.4 today. Oh well, I know why. We went to a function at a restaurant last night. I assumed they would have their regular menu to choose from, and I could order a chicken Caesar or shrimp salad, but they only had 4 selections. And all of them came with red potatoes and butternut squash as a side - no salad option. I had the grilled chicken, but it had flavor, so I'm sure it was grilled with oil or something. I also had about 6 cubes of the butternut squash, which I'm certain was cooked in butter or something. Eating super POP today and as much water as I can get down!

Tracy - eating out on P2 is treacherous. I know why people become hermits during P2. Hamburgers in restaurants are generally made from fattier cuts of meat. That's why they taste so good Glad to hear your news about your job. That sounds pretty positive. A PI for surgery and T-day is probably a very smart move. Glad you'll be spending the holiday with all your kids!

Lynne - an 8 lb gain would Freak Me Out! Not fair at ALL! But, that said, was there anything on your menu one or two days before that you might have reacted to? One of the things I so appreciate about this protocol is that because it has such a limited list of foods, you're able to identify things you've been sensitive to all along, but big swings on the scale make them VERY apparent. I now know that I need to steer clear of peanut butter.

Yep, we thought we might be moved in by Christmas, but now we're on hold for the shower wall material. The cool thing is that we've worked it out so there will be no curb on the shower! That is worth waiting another few weeks for sure. Meanwhile, the counters are done and I can go about cleaning the dust and sawdust out of the drawers and putting down shelf liner. Then finding all of my kitchen boxes from our old house and unpacking them Fortunately, when we were packing, I was very careful to create a detailed list of what was in each box and numbering each one.

Sorry for the latish post today. I spent the morning at DMV getting my "Real" Driver license ID. What a pain, but at least I got to update my weight and picture.

Have a great rest of the week all!

    Hi Linda,

Honestly, there was nothing unusual in my eating last week or over the weekend. I did take a long, hot bath on Sunday, which might have dehydrated me by a pound or so. But it doesn't seem like that would account for going up 8, then down 5.8 lbs! It's just too weird. Last evening, I was very cold, so I think the hhcg was doing its thing - giving me the big drop. Oh well, I'll keep on with the program.

    Happy losses, all -

Honestly, I would suspect a scale malfunction with an 8 pound overnight gain with nothing to attribute it too.

If you haven't changed the batteries in your scale for a while, it might be good to do it now.

    Hi Leez,

I have a no batteries balance beam scale that I bought from a doctor's office. It is on a level tile floor and is dead reliable. So I can't use that excuse.

That's frustrating Lynne. Hang in there!
Linda, nothing better than updating the number and pic on a drivers license. When I renewed mine last January I spent a good 15 minutes sharing the protocol with the clerk. She was very interested but couldn't get over the hurdle of shots, even though I explained the options.
I'm off work for a couple days so today I slept in and didn't weigh.
Off to start my weekend early, enjoy your day everyone!

OK, blip from rogue dinner reined back in. Back to 136.7. Can't believe it is already 20 days!

Tracy - enjoy your long weekend! Hope you're planning to do something fun! Even though we are pretty rural, our DMV here is pretty busy. People would probably get pretty upset if someone was just chatting up one of the clerks

Lynne - hope your scale is being kind to you today.

TGIF for sure! Getting propane tank installed today! Yay, another milestone!

No losses again today, being patient . . .

Snow falling again, sitting by the fireplace, coffee, two purring cats . . .

That sounds dreamy Lynne! I have two cats too. I say if I had three, I'd be undateable...
Linda, you are right about the dmv, she was on break or else there would've been a lot of disgruntled drivers!!
Down another three lbs, not sure if I will keep it, I did not eat supper last night but did have whiskey with my daughter, so it could be dehydration. I also did not get my water in.
I'm on VLCD 19 Linda, this round is flying by!

    Saturday YAY!

Lynne - That sounds Norman Rockwell-ish. We have two cats too! They came with the property when we bought it in 2008. They were feral but have become domesticated over time. They come inside in the evening and sleep inside at night. There is one more, but he is too skittish to get close to us.

Tracy - Three pounds! Hope you get to keep it, or at least most of it. Yes, this round is flying by. I can't believe I am on day 21 already and now onto the counting down side of things. Things have been much smoother this round as far as the scale. I've experienced some mild hunger, but it goes away as soon as I eat something. The time change has messed with things a bit this past week, but I feel like it is coming back to feeling normal again.

AFM: Down a measly 0.2 this morning to 136.5. But, down is down and I'll take it! Grand total overall on day 21, down 6.1 - not great, but very good for me, especially considering I am only about mid-way through my round. Still aiming for the 120s.

Have a lovely losing weekend all!

    Hi Linda,

Mine are both rescues but strictly indoor cats. One is a blue mackerel tabby boy, 13 lbs and about 5 YO; the other is a brown tabby girl, 8 lbs and about 2 YO.

Glad to see you are still losing - I'm hoping to get back to losses before I end the round. If not, it's still 5 or 6 lbs gone and my size 8 jeans are loose. Yay! I have some size 6 jeans being delivered later today. It seems I purged anything smaller than 8, last time I donated clothes. I have some 12s left to go this year - I am determined that I am never going to need those again!

    Happy losses,

    Lynne

Ours are a male orange tabby, about 18 lbs and a pure black female, about 7/8 lbs with bright yellow/green eyes. We think they're siblings. We named him Morris because he looks just like the Nine Lives Morris the Cat. We named her Hunter because, well she brings us presents at least once a day. The skittish one is her son and also pure black (named him Ashton for no particular reason). We got them all fixed after she delivered her last litter, so no more babies!

love loose jeans! I will see what surprises I have packed away in our moving boxes. I'm pretty sure I donated my smaller size clothing too since I didn't want to pack something that I was never going to wear again (my mindset at the time, 5 years ago). So grateful I found a way to get healthy and smaller again. It's worth it to have to replace my entire wardrobe!
