Lynne - sounds like you're having another fireplace with cats day. We're lucky in that we're below the snowline and have only had snow a couple of times in 5 years. Well, not lucky really, not being in snow country was part of the criteria of purchasing the property. Romeo and Giulia are cute names

Tracy - hope you're out enjoying your extended weekend!

AFM: Down 0.5 this morning. Happy with that! Food aversions have started for me again. I cooked a batch of chicken breast yesterday, but I guess I overcooked it. It is super dry and that just makes me gag. I even drowned it in Walden's Honey Dijon and still made me gag. I also have shrimp, so maybe I will just stick with that for the next few days, then make a new batch of chicken.

The Camp Fire is about 150 miles north of us as the crow flies, but we had a lot of smoke from it yesterday. You could even smell it. Today looks a little clearer. Sending prayers out to anyone affected by all the fires...

I was thinking about you Linda with the fires. Hope you are safe!

My cats are rescue too! Two years old, Lola is a grey and white tabby and Moxie is part Norweigian Forest. Different litters but they loooove each other. They are indoors but are allowed to hang out on my deck with no problem. They are fascinated by the neighbors dog and the squirrels.

I'm holding on to that three lb loss in an odd fashion. Went up a lb Saturday, back down yesterday and today I didn't weigh but I feel and look just lighter. I'm 23 shots in today and will phase out for surgery on Thursday. I think I'll be in P3 until the day after Thanksgiving. Then I may do my skip a shot every four days to extend my final losing days. I have a lot of time off over the holidays to navigate p3. I've noticed it goes much more smoothly the more I can prepare my own foods, (it's hard to keep that up when I'm working 10-12 hour days.)

Lynne, had the kitties on my lap in front of my fake electric fireplace. I even bought a smoke scented candle for the full effect. Oh I miss a wood burning fireplace so much...

Hope everyone is thankful and enjoying Veterans Day!

Sounds like we are the three cat ladies of hcg!

Tracy - I'm jealous of your PI, but certainly not of your 10-12 hour days. That sounds exhausting, and then having surgery on top of it! Yikes!

I know what you mean about just looking lighter. I feel lighter and think I look lighter too, but TESS is being stubborn and stingy. 136.0 again today even though I got up to pee at least 6 times last night. That should have been good for a couple of pounds itself! I know I didn't eat enough yesterday. DH was fasting for his prep day for a colonoscopy today. I took pity on him and didn't want to eat in front of him, so just drank water instead - probably why all the wc trips last night, come to think of it.

We had plans to put in a combo wood/propane stove, but opted just for the propane. Much easier to keep clean and don't have to clean the chimney like the wood ones. I know I'll use it more because I don't have to get rid of the ash. Hoping to get it hooked up and working this week as we now have a working propane system throughout the house.

I've decided to hunker down and power through T-day on P2. Since we're doing potluck, I'm going to bring boiled shrimp with S/F cocktail sauce to share, a green undressed salad that folks can add whatever they want to and steamed asparagus. Our chef friend is cooking a prime rib for us, so I'll just have some lean pieces of that. Will have one of my fruits in the morning before we go and I think I will be good. After the fiasco with the restaurant last week, I don't think I'll be a bit tempted by any of the greasy/carby foods they are all planning. Maybe a glass of wine, but that's it.

Yep. Happy Veteran's Day and thanks to all you Vets for your service!

    Cat ladies unite!
That sounds like an excellent plan Linda! Pretty much what I had last Thanksgiving and I was satisfied. You're going to do great.
I'm still the same weight, but ok with it. Past experience has shown when I go into P3 in a stall, it's easier to maintain.
I bought Georges ticket home yesterday, he flies in from Nashville on the 19th and drives back with his bandmate on the the 27th and I am beside myself. Can't wait to see that guy!!!
Rainy and cold here and back to work today.
Linda, I need to get my colonoscopy scheduled. Kind of dreading that.... The prep sounds the worst. Hope your husband did well.

So the colonoscopy was done in 20 minutes and went just fine. They knocked him out with propofol and he woke up after like he had just had a nap. The prep wasn't too bad either. He took something called Suprep and it wasn't bad at all. Another prep called GoLytely was recommended by a friend of ours as being pretty gentle.

Tracy - so excited for you to have George home for the holiday! I know how much you've been missing him. Hoping for a very stable PI for you.

AFM: Up to 137.2 today... WTHeck? Exact same as last Tuesday. Not fair! I didn't do anything different (other than worry about DH) yesterday. I ate the same things I've been having. Got most of my water in... maybe just seeing the stress of not sleeping well the night before... IDK. Today's plan is to not let it get to me mentally and just soldier on. Some smoke here today, but not as bad as the Bay Area for sure.

Lynne - hope you're doing well!

    Have a great Tuesday everyone!
