Kim - yes no talk about mac and cheese for awhile now. Good luck with P2.

sol1772 - those are really good lossses you had. No recommendations about improving on it, but a warning about exercise. The yoga and walking should be fine, unless you aren't used to it. If you exercise to the point of sore muscles, it can cause inflammation and slow losses. You retain water. I just went through that. It passes, but it's a little counter-intuitive to what we usually think.

    hurdalheart - welcome

AFM - no change today. That's pretty typical of my losses last round. A good loss (1.2) one day, then a couple days of slower losses. Happy losing everybody.

I am using hhcg drops and start my load in the morning so yay!
Bella42203.... I am not sure yet how to quote but I am right there with you! I am waking up to a bowl of cereal and all the muffins I can stand! Good luck and happy losing to us all!
Yes, the HCG GOURMET cookbook has been a savior for me this round. Last time I did this, I got so sick of 101 HCG recipes it was hard.

10.5 lbs gone this week! Last Tuesday was VLCD1 so I am happy with that (plus a little cheat on Saturday. Water, water, water!)

If you haven't tried the Phase 2 egg drop soup I HIGHLY recommend it! I had it yesterday and it was AMAZING

    Happy losing everyone!

Well, today is VLCD 3 for me and I'm down .8 so tomorrow I'm hoping for a bigger number. Now that I lost below a pound, i'll be taking out the melba toast from my daily routine just like I did the first round. The first day I ate it because I was hungry and the next two days more because or routine and needed the cals.

You all are doing great! I hope to have good numbers continue like some others on this board!

I'm a pretty boring cook, so just basics for me, however I think I might have to try the egg flower soup sometime this week. sounds Yumm.

I'm new to this forum and to hcg. I was introduced by a friend and I have spent the last few weeks really researching and reading everything I could get my hands on. I am happy to say today is my last load day. I'm glad too because i have never felt so grossed out by the amount of high fat food i have been eating. I know it will come right off but i just feel bad eating all this food. I've never really had a huge problem with weight as I have been extrememly active for most of my life and I typically eat right but I do have my vices....... but a 2nd ACL surgery on the same knee has basically sidelined me from the level of activity my body was used to. I have tried so much over the last two years trying to keep my weight in control but I believe my metabolism has just decided to not cooporate with me and in turn I put on almost 20lbs. (i know that is not a lot compared to others but we each have struggles and it doesn't matter if it is 10lbs or 100lbs...it is still a struggle) I'm excited because i have seen for my own two eyes this protocol has worked for two of my friends and I am encouraged by the veterans who post here. I can see this site will be a daily visit for me. There really is a lot of threads and posts to read over and I'm hoping the time spent here will not only be encouraging but also serve to occupy my time and kept me focused on the goal... which is I want to reset my metabolism to the new me.

I just wanted to make sure I am doing this right? I havebeen "loading" since about last Wednesday as I awaited my drops. I decided to start my drops on Sunday and am doing hard core loading yesterday and today and then will drop my calories to the VLCD of 500 on Tuesday. I am still waiting for my digital scale but wanted to get started. I am 40, 5' 6.5" and weighed 187 on Sunday 9/25/11. Is this how you load? Really hoping for about 20-25lbs to drop, and I am inspired by all the people I see posting losses and feeling good.
I'm just curious how quickly the drops start taking effect? and should I look for any side effects? Sup0er nervous and excited at the same time to have a new body for the holidays! I'll be on here daily to keep in check with everyone and learn what I can. thanks, Vickie

Started loading today! I got my hHCG pellets on Thursday, but I went on a retreat with my church, so I decided not to start until I got back. Turns out it was filled with lots of trail mix, PB&J, and generally foods with "good" fats so maybe I should have started then lol Oh well. seems like it's going well thus far. I'm really excited but nervous too because sometimes I'm not able to control everything that I eat. I guess when I don't have control I'll just try my best to stay on protocol!

    Good luck to everyone else!

Vickie, Based on all the information I have read you should start your drops and start loading at the same time. Some have said there is no benefit to loading for more than just the required 2 days while you wait for the hcg to kick it (it takes about 72 hours). But if you haven't seen any increase on the scale then happy eating.

Vickie, the load starts the day you start your drops, and you load for two days (few do three) Take your drops and wait a good half hour, and then begin your load. I don't know how to best explain why, but your body while on the drops, thinks it needs that same amount of fats to continue, so... It feeds off of the fats already in your body. Thats How I look at it. I felt the effects of the drops within the day. Thats why I would get so full faster than before. But like DIY said, if you aren't gaining, happy eating!

Welcome, Newbies. If you haven't already done so, please please please read the original protocol, Pounds and Inches. It will help you stay focused and keep you from making some real bonehead mistakes. And take your measurements!

More than anything, I want to encourage you to embrace the ENTIRE protocol. If you do the 500 calorie part and then do your own thing, you are wasting your time and money. P3 is critical to get your metabolism adjusted (a concern many here have mentioned). After the VLCD, you will LOVE P3, but it also has limitations. If you are committed to do this, do it all. The last couple of weeks of P2, start reading and preparing for P3. It will make your mouth water, but do it anyway. Having a plan for every situation is so important to keeping you on track. An intentional cheat, or a spontanious one, or getting into a situation where you just aren't prepared, all have the same effect: they can cause a stall/gain, they weaken your resolve, and they mess with the body's chemistry that hcg is working on.

I agree that having a little or a lot to lose is all a struggle, just different. For those of us with lots ot lose, our health and longevity is on the line. For those of us with less to lose, our lifestyle and self-image are often on the line. And for those of us with a family, this is an opportunity for us to change the way we prepare/plan/eat for the benefit of all those who count on us to set the table with 3 meals a day. I've been doing this for a year now, and I have read, researched, and leaned so much that is helping my family eat better, cleaner, healthier food everyday. I never used to pay attention to anything on a label other than the price and the calories; maybe fat and fiber. P3 taught me I can eat fantastic real food, high in fat and protein, and I don't need, nor do I miss, the chemicals I have assulted my body with ever since I could reach the bag of white bread and the bologna in the fridge. You may never buy another box of Fruit Loops after you've done this. Get ready for some life-altering changes FOR THE BETTER! Not just to your dress size, but your entire food-buying, meal-planning, eating-out, drinking-up, shrinking life!

I started today... day one of loading is a little scary. Would hate to gain and not lose!

  11. #131

    Loading Day 1

    Round 2 Day 1 Loading.

    Couple things:

    A) not hungry at all which I suppose is good because my dosage is probably right on.

    B) Hard to eat when you are not feeling it especially when you should be eating more fat than normal

Planning on going to dinner tonight with my hubby to my favorite restaurant. I need to plan out tomorrow to get the rest of my favorites as I wont be able to enjoy them for long time!

Checking in and I see another slew of new loaders! Welcome and best wishes! Please don't disappear on us. Come here for support!! (I say this because this is my second round and a lot of the folks from my first round just stopped checking in...) I love sharing the journey so feel free to stop by my page and friend me. I am on my 2nd week of R2P2.

I am happy to report another 1 pound loss yesterday (no loss today) for a week 1 total of 12.8 lost. That does include my 5 pound load gain! I had fun for those 2 days!! That 1 pound put me at the 35 pound benchmark. I am now over half way to my goal of 64 pounds and at 194, I say farewell to my largest fat clothes and never again to the 200's! :P

    See y'all lighter!
