Hey everyone.. I started on wednesday and just had my first VLCD day today. This is R2 for me and I am excited! I am hoping it goes well because I've heard R2 is HARD! Today was pretty painless though. I can only hope the rest of VLCD goes this well.

Question for you guys: are you eating both fruits? I had 2 apples today (not at the same time) and for some reason, I'm feeling a little guilty. In R1, near the end I tried not to eat my 2nd fruit but I was just craving that other apple today!

Anyway, I hope to get to know you all better! Have a good night and good luck on the scales!

Hi Katie, I am just starting R1D1 so my comments are just opinion and not experience! However, I do feel fruit is important for fiber and nutrients. I read on the forum that if you omit something you should increase your calories in protein or maybe veggie to reach 500 calories. I also read that some eat the other fruits instead of apples but I don't know why. Are you thinking that you will lose more if you skip the fruit?

Hi - I'm on my 2nd load day for R2. In R1 I often skipped the second fruit, and usually the bread. I'm gluten sensitive, so I ate rice crackers when I did eat the bread, and just preferred the extra protein over the fruit. When I did eat both though I never did 2 apples or 2 oranges or combo of those. I would make one fruit strawberries or grapefruit, the other the apple/orange because of the higher sugar content in apple/orange. But, I am also sugar sensitive. You'll find out on the scale if 2 apples is too much for you. Good luck on your second round. Looks like you are pretty close to goal. Guess you've read everything that says the last pounds come off slow? So just be prepared and hang in there.

Day 2 of loading for R2. Yesterday I ate bacon and eggs for breakfast; FFF yogurt for lunch, with fruit; guacamole, olives, almonds for snacks, a big steak, with salad and grilled veggies for dinner and peaches and ice cream for dessert. BARF!!! Oh and wine! Added it all up - almost 4000 calories. Gained .8. Totally thrilled with that, but could really not eat all day today I'm sure. But, that's not the point of load days. Looking forward to VLCD starting tomorrow. Happy loading all, and for those of you already in VLCD, happy losing.

Hey guys! Hope you all had a successful day yesterday. I was happy to wake up to a 3 lb. loss! So excited to be back in the mix of things! I'm hoping the losses continue like this at least a little longer!

Thanks for your advice on the fruit. I plan on doing 2 fruits for a while (no melba) but I am going to make sure to have at most 1 high sugar one a day (apple/orange) and use strawberries or something for the other one.

@Barbara: ya, I have heard that about the last pounds. I'm expecting R2 to be pretty tough regardless, since that is what I've heard from a lot of people. I am just going to try and get off the last few pounds and hopefully stabilize for the rest of the 30-43 round by adding more protein when I hit my goal.

Well, good luck today everyone! Hope you all have great losses!

Hi all. New to the forums and to hCG. I started loading on 9/13 and I'm currently on VLCD3. So far so good. I was very hungry vlcd1 and 2. Today I am doing okay.

So far I am down 9.6 lbs and very happy! I have a lot to lose so the big lose is expected. But, it's still nice to see -3 lbs on your scale in the morning!

Nice to meet everyone and good luck and best wishes. I hope to make some good buddies for support here.

Cheeky, I would be glad to check out the recipe book if I just knew where it is. I haven't figured out how to navigate the forum 100% yet. Thanks for the info.

So I'm new to this and just started with my first loading day.Do you really need 2 loading days of fatty foods? I jjust got back from a week of travel and eating fatty foods and I'm ready to get on with it and start the 500 calories tomorrow.

I think you do Janey. My doctor stressed to me the importance of getting 250g of fat each day. She literally looked me in the eyes and grabbed my hands and said it twice! She said to be religious and write it all down and make sure i reached it! I love my weight management Doctor and never has she been so firm about anything. So I did exactly what she said.

Just my experience and what My Doctor said.

@hello penny! Thanks for the advice! I'll stick to it although I'm not even sure I've eaten that much fat today which worries me. I'm stuffed! I had no idea how hard it would be to eat this much fat!!!
