I think I figured out the source of my issue- SALT!

I've been trying to keep salt to an absolute minimum, so as not to retain water. But I definitely have not been using enough. I used some pink himalayan sea salt around lunch time and have felt amazing all afternoon. I've had this issue in the past, when I was juicing a lot- I'm surprised I didn't realize it sooner, but I think I've been so distracted by measuring my food, reading up on Hcg and etc-- it's my first time using Hcg, so I have been worried that it wasn't working properly.

We'll see how tomorrow goes, but I think I figured it out!

You are right, in long rounds a skip day is good. But I though in the short rounds, it was discouraged. I don't remember where I saw it. Usually I only peruse this site. But Maybe I read wrong.

I didn't lose anything on weigh-in. I hate when that happens. But also I have been EXTREMELY fatigued and hungry. I lowered my does to 125 from 150 because I was hungry, I thought I did so much better after I skipped a day. But, I feel really crappy. I'm not sure what to do. I'll probably ask Grammy.

Anyways - try this recipe! I think it's awesome and tasty!!

HcG diet recipe phase 2 P2: Texas Dirty "Rice" (Beef & Cabbage)
    100g lean ground beef
2 C cabbage finely chopped into rice sized (I used a food processor)
1 C chicken broth or water
    1/2 t cumin
    1/2 - 1 T chili powder
    2 T minced onion
2 clove garlic crush and minced
    Salt & Pepper
Serve with Frank's hot pepper sauce.

In a large frying pan, brown beef over medium high heat. Add the rest of ingredients and cook until cabbage is tender adding more water or broth as necessary. Cook down until no liquid is left. Serve hot.

Loaded Labor Day Weekend. Doing 23-day round.

Hey everyone. I have not posted in couple of days but I have been following. Great job ladies, some real nice losses out there. I have been busy, today is no exception. Making salsa today. I have been hungry the past couple of days. I believe my does is off. Today I am hoping I have it all sorted out. Cause I was ready to eat the biggest steak I could find. Will try and do persies later. Best of lucky today with the scales everyone.

I gained today. Up 1.2 pounds! I was POP yesterday and the day before. Good news though, is that I wasn't weak yesterday and I wasn't weak and dizzy this morning- I definitely think my sodium levels were too low. Now that I gave my body some much-needed salt, I think I'm retaining water.

I have eaten cabbage as a veggie once yesterday and the day before, and this seems to have slowed my weight loss too. Back to cucumbers for me. I've read that cabbage causes some people to stall/gain. While I love the cabbage, it's not worth it. In order to keep my head in the right place to do this, I need to experience losses (even if small ones) regularly.

I did try oven-dehydrated radish chips last night and they were awful. I've never eaten radishes and now I know why. The taste/smell of them really nauseates me. So I'll cross that vegetable off!

Julietta2014, I'm so sorry you had a gain! I do really think it's your body trying to figure out how much water to hold onto. I'm so glad you're not feeling dizzy and weak any more.

I'm sorry cabbage isn't working for you. It's weird how somethings are great for some people and bad for others. I have cabbage probably 5 times a week. It seems to help me. I lose better when I'm eating it. I like radishes ok, but I don't love them. Radish chips don't sound good to me.

VLCD 18 - no change. I have to keep reminding myself that it's going to be hard and it's going to be slow from here on out. This has been my hardest round and I am daily questioning myself. I think it says something when your 16 year old son very earnestly suggests you take a year off before doing another round. Wise beyond his years, he has noticed I've not been my usual self since I started the round. He also has noticed I've been "making exceptions" in ways I never had in other rounds. When I protested that I was so close to my goal, his response was, "Yes, but look how far you've come." My original goal was 165, but as I got closer I lowered it to 160. I might change it back. I am committed to the minimum of 23 days, but I might quit after that. He might just be right.

    Cool

HI, I loaded this weekend, may I join you? Ive been on this round for 39 day's but took a interruption cause of grandson surgery and family reunion yesterday. I know I didn't need to re-load after a interruption but decided to anyway's, this is the 1st time Ive done a interruption but I was out of town all week and just felt I was not finished with P2. I will resume vlcd today.
I only gained 3 lbs loading which isn't bad since I was eating P3 food for the week and no gain, so hopefully I will start getting good results with the resuming. I need to go back and catch up with all the posts, so I will chime in again tomorrow morning. Best Wishes Niane

Good luck! Yesterday I finally had some relief from my hunger and I think my levels are building up again, but I'm worried it's harmed my progress. I am looking a bit drawn in the face (although I'm also not sleeping well) and whilst I am happy I haven't gained, I am stalling and losing in only tiny increments this week. It also might not have anything to do with my dose, but it's hard going.

Remember in P&I that it says this kind of weight gain is perfectly acceptable and it doesn't mean you're not losing the fat. I'm sure you do remember, but I read that part again yesterday myself as I was needing some help through my stall. Oddly, I like radishes but hate cabbage!

Not long now until day 23. I'm struggling too this week, from my dose being off plus stress plus stalls. It's lovely to have someone there to remind us how far we have come. It is easy to be so focused on reaching that next goal that we don't take the time to celebrate where we are and where we have come from.

I'm not an expert, and it depends on how long it has been since you started and stopped. My suggestion, though, is that make sure that you're in the right mindframe. As you can see from the posts above you, this is not easy in anyway. Read Pounds and Inches a few times, and start from scratch. VLCD16, 0.2lb lost overnight for 12.8lb total. It's still an average of 1.3lb per day which is higher than the average given in P&I, so I can't complain but it is definitely a hard week for me.

I'm so close to my next milestone (it's 0.5lb away) and I have been limping there slowly. I've been POP but coconut oil is calling to me. Or any fat, really. Having eaten paleo extensively in the past, I'm so looking forward to P3 and eating fat!

Selina, great job, some nice losses there. I hear you on the coconut oil, I use to have it daily in my coffee...I did have one in it today just a teaspoon, it was soooo good. I am not strict, as you can see. Keep up the great losses
