Rose, so sorry for your loss, but I am a firm believer that there are worse things than death, Rose. She is finally at peace and no pain. I'm sure you and family will miss her, for sure, but she is no longer suffering and you may all be happy about that. Virtual hugs for you.

gz, glad your daughter got her dose fixed with Leez's help, isn't she the best! Good luck to her! Hope she is no longer feeling effects of covoid shots.

mrsstrong, those 2 lbs jumps are concerning to any and all--so understand. But I'm with you, I just don't rush to do correction days. Like I've said before, this year I've tended to eat mostly do protein days with fats on days after upticks and the next day or two the downticks would show up. These fluctuations are going to happen, so I guess we have to expect them. My husband is one who seems to be steady as a rock with his weight, and neither one of us understand that. How is that possible, I mean, everyone's diet volume and fluid intake varies, seems like everyone should have pounds and oz. change as well, but he seems to weigh exactly the same everyday. Well, not me. And I don't think most women. So hang in there. Maybe some of us, especially those of us who have done the diet thing in our lives, are more prone to food allergies and reactions. The thing about you is you don't seem to over react, and that's good. I would love to hear from Flirty Flo and Divine M (was that her name, and Wilson, Charlie, Tracy, Savannah--so many that have just dropped off-- wouldn't you? I hate that we never hear at all from them. I miss them.

I am doing ok, Lost another .6 this morning, seems to be the way it's going. 154.6 this a.m. So ok. Didn't even touch Hubbs pizza or mozarella sticks, that he ordered in last night. He doesn't make it easy. I was tempted. Have to get off and take my dogs to daycare right now. Will check other threads later. Have great day everyone! So far on this short round am down 9.2 lb from my Last dose weight of last round in May.

JGD, I am so sorry for your loss as well. And prayers for your grandmother. We aren't supposed to outlive our kids. Some people do die of a broken heart and it's OK if she lets go. Hard for you all, for sure. Sometimes giving people permission to grieve is the most loving gift we can give, even if it means the person lets go. My grandfather did that. My mother had finally been able to move him to a good home because he needed around-the-clock care. He was a danger to himself and the apartment complex he lived in. He never wanted this and managed to live at home with help till he was 96. Once in the home, he just died as if he was in full control. He was such a wilful and pious man.
As for your round: are you sure you are not eating something that could cause the stalls? Sometimes it's combinations of foods too.


Glad you had another drop, Dubbles. Good for you for sticking it to him! Do what you need to get where you want to get. I never feel obliged at all to eat what my husband orders or eats LOL He can tease me all he wants. I only cave when I am not strong and so I watch myself and I just go do something else somewhere else. We do have plans for our days without kids at home so I do remind him I'd like us to be healthy so that we can actually have the energy and enjoy our older age. We bought a new car and had a tow hitch installed to pull a trailer that is coming in 2 years. I am so looking forward to the days when we can just take off. I personally plan on being driven to the gym when I can't drive myself anymore haha. I think he is planning on exercising with my 15yo so there will be motivation and accountability. Fingers crossed. I think guys tend to be more stable and it has mostly to do with hormones.
I'd love to hear from MissM or Yvonne too! But yeah, I am not freaking out. The joy of a few rounds I guess. And my body is correcting itself. 149 this morning. 1.2 drop. Maybe big ups and downs are where it's at around 150.

AFM, like I said above, weighed in at 149, below LDW. 1.2 drop. So definitely jumping around for some reason. Not sure the UTI/yeast infection is completely gone so we'll see. We are having a BBQ this weekend and I plan on eating what is P3 allowed.

To the Sassies considering a shorter round: how "short" are you thinking? I personally would continue P2 the full 23 days, but allow myself more calories; as recommended in P&I. Basically, continue in reshaping mode; then do P3 & P4 per protocol to stabilize.

My last round this spring was a reshaping round. I maybe lost 2 lbs, but definitely lost inches around my hips and belly. This round, I want to lose weight, so I'm planning to stick to protocol.

From P & I: “As soon as their statistically normal weight is reached, these patients are put on 800-1000 Calories for the rest of the treatment. The diet is arranged in such a way that the weight remains perfectly stationary and is thus continued for three days after the 23rd injection.”

I would up my protein and add a little fat, like HWC in one cup of coffee, whole egg instead of just whites.

You are right I know gz, about doing the full 23 day round. And I may do that, but I do have those 2 events back to back, and I know if I go off protocol while on hcg it will result in a gain and I don't bounce back from those quickly. Phoebe had to do a unplanned interruption because she ran out of hcg before the requisite days of injections and went back to p2 after 17 days I think to finish a round, and did ok. I just don't know what I am going to do--whatever it is, it will be an experiment and not what is recommended for any newbies that might be reading out there. Am so close to goal, and probably should not have started another round period, but we'll see where I land in another week. Going to be going to a Michale Buble concert on the 11th, one my husband bought tickets for me last year--concert was canceled due to Covoid. Does anyone else like him? I love his music--sound like Frank Sinatra type music, with a little more swing style, I guess. Concert was rescheduled and my husbands band gets scheduled with gigs both Friday and Saturday nights next week (they haven't found replacement for him, have I already told you all this, I can't remember, maybe I did) and he can't go! $750 for tickets and he can't go! So I asked a girlfriend to go--we'll prob have more fun anyway, but there will be drinking involved and we'll go by casino after! So won't be a p2 friendly event. One of the reasons I'm thinking of stopping and doing the experimental shorter round. I have already ordered more hcg for after first of year. I don't want to need it, but may. I want it here, just in case. If I decided to view this as planned interruption , I will do the 3 day transition, but would only have 16 injection days under my belt and 18? very low calorie days under my belt before p3, so not protocol. So not sure how maintenance will go. I'm not making hard decisions yet. Have another 5 days of injections plus transition days to get behind before the p3 transition to decide anyway. Will decide after that. Like JGD said, my heart just has not been in this from the beginning.

Hi gang, wasn't able to pop on here this morning so posting kind of late for me.

Rose, I am so sorry about your cousin. My dad passed from dementia, such a hard illness and really is a relief when they pass knowing they are in a better place and no longer in any pain. My condolences to you and your family!!

Dubbs.. I hear you about your husband ordering pizza...etc... mine does the same, though he has been better this past round, but he still will eat ice-cream and always asks if I want some, knowing I am not eating that crap!! Haha... I could so relate to your frustration!!

Mrsstrong, figuring things out is such a battle at times, I am with you and not doing a steak day, have never been able to get through one ever before and my last round, when I went over the 2#'s, it came back down in a couple of days and I was able to stabilize. I know it's not protocol but for me, I just feel so lousy if I go all day without eating.

As for me, up .1 today, .2#'s below my LIW. I was pretty surprised I didn't gain as I didn't drink enough water yesterday, I had off food, like yogurt and blueberries for breakfast, I ate trail mix with raisins and even a couple m&m's, had about a half of a bar of lillys chocolate and... I ate cheese.. all of the things I planned on avoiding and I ate all of them yesterday and was expecing a big jump on the scale and nope... just .1#. Could be that it will show up tomorrow or maybe the next day, we shall see. I am trying to be good today but still had almonds with dried cranberries and a chicken chedder onion burger.. well... crossing my fingers tomorrow won't shoot up too bad! But I won't be surprised if it does.

Well, off to get some stuff done around here, at the moment my one dog is out front getting groomed by a mobil groomer, had to take my other pup to the vet with conjuctivitis (spelling?) and I was down at my moms all day after an early morning hour long zoom meeting.. now to figure out dinner.

Will check in tomorrow.
