Good luck with your next round Deanna Jane, so you won't be starting until September 11 loading, and very low calorie on Monday 13th? Good luck! Hope stress of new job has died down by now.

Thanks , Dubbles! Yes, Monday the 13th is correct. Yes, the stress is going away little by little each day. We will be replacing one particular employee who has been causing so much adversity amongst all the co-workers. Once this takes place, the office task will be a smoother operation.

Great job on your weight loss!

Happy Labor Day Eveyone! Bet most of you are busy, out and about, at barbeques and such, but we actually don't have a big day planned here. Hubbs is off work but I didn't want to plan anything, knowing I was going to be on P2, and most of our family lives out of town. Today is last day to go to pool and it is beautiful so I plan to enjoy it--he wants to work in his garage, so I say go for it. Yesterday afternoon I had a posting typed, phone rang, had long conversation with someone, hadn't hit send and so I wasn't able to send it later, just didn't feel like retyping and couldn't find it in auto-restore. Anyway, gest of post was, everyone is right, the further you get into round the easier, the more settled you become in mind, and really the easier it becomes. Had originally planned for tomorrow to be last dose day, sorta as experiment on a 2 week short round, but don't think I'm going to do that.

My bottle of hcg is not enough for a long round, I think it is a 28 day bottle, but I think I may take a higher dose than some, I don't think it would go for 28 days. Excuse me as I work this out for myself. I originally thought maybe tomorrow would be last dose day, which would be very low calorie day 14, and hcg injection day 16 then 72 hrs of transition, on p3 by Friday a.m. Now I've settled in mentally and really think I can stay pretty focused on Friday even if we go out on Friday night (not as sure about Saturday nite tho). Still not sure, may just continue until my hcg runs out--don't think it would go much more than than a week - 10 days more. We'll see what happens. If I go off on Saturday, I'll just deal with it. Have done that before, will deal with it again.

This morning was a TERRIBLE weigh-in, up by 1.4 and I did not cheat at all. But I slept horribly, and I weighed in an hour early. Also have a cold, sinus infection or something, not sure what. Maybe that is what it is. Who knows. I'm not sweating it. I know I didn't eat wrong or off protocol. If I am doing anything wrong, it's just that I"m not drinking enough water. Hope everyone else has a better weigh in this holiday morning!

Get well soon! I find any illness throws me off, so I don't weigh then.

I would use up the bottle of hcg - it doesn't retain potency very long once it's mixed, why waste it.

    Enjoy your pool time -

    Have a good round, Deanna!

Dubbles, I think that if you have it in you and it sounds like you do, go for it! A 23 day round is the shortest recommended. You can then stop and not worry about stabilizing or blame the short round for anything that could pop up in P3 & P4. Our minds are so tricky. If you were to stop now and not stabilize because of it being too short of a round, your mind will tell you to give in and just eat because "all is lost anyway." Before you know it, you need a long round to get it all off again. Well, my mind would do this to me anyway. You are so close to your goal! I know, a number, more serious things in the world, etc. but it's OK to have a goal and want to get there. One of my main struggles with people at social gatherings is when they say "what is one treat/cheat etc. going to do?" Well, it does a lot for me potentially. It means the difference between maintaining or starting on that awful roller coaster of not being able to control myself potentially. I see this the same way. What is one more pound? To me, it is the difference between getting where I wanted to go or telling myself that a few pounds more or less won't matter and then I eat accordingly. And one morning I am way up from where I want to be. The determination of getting where I want to be is my safety blanket. It gives me faith in myself.
Anyway, I support you either way but gosh, if you feel like you have it in you, do it!

I hope you feel better soon! As you know, the weight will come off when you feel better.

AFM, I didn't weigh myself this morning. Had a great BBQ yesterday and had a mojito, a couple of glasses of rosť, and finished the plantain chips. I am probably up and it will most likely come down over the next couple of days. We have one more guest coming for dinner this week and then I think the backyard BBQ season will close. We'll see. I have not had our neighbors over this year and there are some new neighbors as well so maybe we'll throw a last BBQ next weekend. I so enjoy hosting!

Have a good Labor Day everyone!

mrsstrong, sounds like you had a great barbeque, and have one or two more in you this season. I say go for it. They are so much fun, and such a great way to entertain! I think you are right, I believe I will go until my hcg runs out. Definitely don't think I'm ready to call tomorrow my last dose day. Even if on Saturday I am not perfect on protocol that's ok, it will be by choice and I will pay the price and will take the uptick and wait for it to go back down. Not sure. I hate to waste or toss good hcg. I know there is not enough in the bottle to last more than another 7-10 days anyway. Thanks for letting me flip and flop on this for the last two weeks. I put a big NOTE TO SELF:" in my journal--IT GETS EASIER AFTER ABOUT 10 DAYS, YOU SETTLE INTO RHYTHM AND P2 FEELS MUCH LESS RESTRICTIVE. REMEMBER THIS NEXT ROUND. It is true.

Seems like many eat them without problems in P3.

rose, in Linda Prinster's HCG Diet Guide, she lists roasted plantain chips as a caution food for P3. (choose the green plantain ones, not the riper sweet ones). Acceptable but something you would watch portions and frequency to see how you do. She also allows peanuts in P3 because of the nutrient ratios that match other nuts.

The Trader Joes one uses sunflower oil, the Amazon Wicked brand used palm oil. I think the palm oil is a healthier choice, but both are ok. So is coconut oil.

If you think about it, bananas are fine for P3, so it makes sense that plantains could be an option.

Leez, what are your favorite P3 meals and snacks? For first week in particular. TIA

I like avocados. I usually eat one a day during P3. They pair well with bacon or sausage for breakfast, maybe with some sliced tomatos. I like meats & veggies coated in olive oil and done in the air fryer. Some kind of marinade makes them even tastier. My P3s are pretty simple. I use fruit as a dessert, sometimes with greek yogurt. I make coconut oil candy with peanuts in it if I want something rich and chocolate. Chocolate avocado pudding is pretty yummy too. Big dinner salads with an olive oil vinegrette is a staple. I load it up with a grilled protein and favorite fixings. I use roasted plantain chips as dippers for guacamole or baba ganoush (eggplant tahini dip), or with tuna salad.

I usually add cream in my coffee the first day and a bit more dairy ( like the soft cheeses) after the first few days..... Nuts and such once the first weeks scale roller coaster has calmed down.
