Stop worrying so much about sodium! With the VLCD, your body excretes more sodium than usual because the body reacts as if you are fasting. In fact, you may need extra sodium to avoid headaches, weakness, dizziness, fuzzy thinking, and constipation. Also known as the "keto flu". When I am on the VLCD, I have a cup of bouillon every morning after breakfast, to make sure I get adequate sodium and potassium.

You should worry more about the sugar carbs in an apple, than the tiny amount of fat. I eat raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, because they have much less sugar and starch than apples.

    Hello Loaders,

I feel a bit tired today. No clue why but hope it does not continue! Happy that here in P2D2 I have lost so well 2.7 pounds. I hope everyone is having good losses.

    Warmly,
    RK

Ooops, I posted this in Lovely Losers but I think this is where it's supposed to be. Hi everyone!

Wow, it's been a LOOOOONG time since I've been here, but I'm so glad this forum is still here! It was my lifeline back in 2012-2013 when I was doing rounds. The last time I did a round was 2 years ago but at P2D20 I had an abcessed tooth that required heavy antibiotics and oral surgery...so I had to cut that round short AND had to eat crackers and other foods while taking strong antibiotics and pain meds after surgery. It didn't take long for the weight to come back after that.

This round I'm trying to get back to a healthier weight after 6 years of doctors doing all the tests to tell me that all my numbers look normal so I must just be normal and need to work out more or cut more calories, despite regular exercise and a low calorie diet. (For someone who normally hangs out at 140 to gain 60 lbs over 2 years while eating healthy and moderate exercise daily is NOT normal in my book.)
5 years ago I had my gall bladder removed so I'm wondering if anyone knows if that will affect or change anything with HCG.

Aside from that, I am P2D2 and dealing with the detox headache. I know it will pass in a couple days but it's not fun. I also struggle because I do not like fish and that leaves 30 days of chicken and beef. I'm allergic to tomatoes, rosemary, sage, and can't eat anything spicy, so that REALLY limits my menu options. Menu boredom hits me but I do have willpower to follow through and I've always had great results.
I'm looking forward to doing this round with anyone getting started here in September and getting insight from those who have been here before.

Am I supposed to take the pellets right before I eat, or just equally spaced throughout the day?
Micha, I listed it as R1 even though this is technically R6 for me-but it's been 2 years since I've been on a round and 4 years before that. Good luck! I haven't had pellets so I can't speak to those.

The "detox headache" likely means you need sodium. I suggest a cup of salty bone broth or bouillon.

Also: have you been tested for insulin resistance?

I gained 50+ lbs weight due to pre-Type 2 diabetic insulin resistance. I used my first round of hcg to transition to a ketogenic diet in 2017, and have kept the majority of the weight off with annual vanity rounds.

Probably. I've never had trouble with apples before.

JC, welcome back! Have you looked at the recipes listed here to maybe find something that's appealing? I'm on day 10 and it does get old rather fast. I'm glad I'm not the only one to switch up the round numbers.
