    September 2023 Loaders - Sassies

Welcome September loaders, this thread's for you!

Use it in whatever way will help you stay strong through your round. Make plans, post concerns and questions, get and give support, or just post for accountability. Whatever helps you get through the day.

I will be here to answer questions and give some guidance based on the original protocol, but anyone doing a variation is welcome to post here as well. And we always want to hear from our veteran HCG'ers that are willing to share their accumulated wisdom.

    Keep it sassy!

Hello everyone! Can't believe it's almost September! I'm in p4 and learning to navigate stabilization. Lots to learn. I'm working on keeping my mental chatter positive. Doing a protein correction day as I gained a few lbs overnight. I was 122.4 yesterday and 125 today. I'd had some keto cheesecake so past few days so wondering if that is catching up with me? I'll cut out dairy. For now I'm working on testing new foods and seeing how I respond. And keeping an eye on hunger and fullness.

    Hey everyone!

It has been a while and I have been pretty stable without having to watch every little piece of food going into my mouth. I am about 12 lbs above my lowest LIW and just about the same as the LIW from my last round. I am going to do another round now to try and get rid of that stubborn 12 lbs and see if I can just maintain around 130 lbs.

Anyway, I was planning on checking in here and posting to keep myself accountable. Will be loading this weekend and starting P2 on Monday.

Meanwhile, I had my second hip replacement surgery about a year ago, so exercise is now possible. Hoping the stars align for a good round and will finish up around mid-October. In time to stabilize before Thanksgiving!

Off to read and catch up on what everyone else is doing!

Hey LinderLou, glad to read you have healed up from your hip replacement. I hope your round goes well. Are you using injectable or hhcg? I have switched to nasal spray hhcg. I did a round this summer after I moved, now I'm in P4 and stabilizing.

Lots of changes in the last few years - I retired, sold my home, and moved to Ogden, Utah in June. I'm still unpacking, getting repairs done slowly, and getting ready for the ski season.

Hi GZ - great to see a familiar face!

Good luck with the home renovations. We moved and built a new house for our "golden years" a few years back as well. Love it and love not being in the "big city" any more. We still have unpacking left to do as well. Trying to make a new rule that if I haven't needed it since we packed it, I will donate it or sell on eBay DH has seemed to be the opposite. He continues to collect tools... At least he uses them and the benefit is that he can fix just about anything that breaks, so I don't really mind. I also retired, or semi-retired last year. It is nice not to have the stress of being required to be available every day and I have been able to enjoy time to myself, doing what I want. Love it!

So, this weekend, we had out-of-town guests and I figured it would be a good few days to do P1, aka "Loading". Well, I didn't really have an appetite, but managed to eat stuff I won't be able to for the next few weeks. Interestingly, I didn't gain an ounce, so at least it doesn't add to the amount I am aiming to lose in this round. So far, today (P2D1) I am doing OK, no hunger and just trying to remember what I can and cannot eat on P2. I'll probably make a trip to the grocery store tomorrow and pick up some more P2 items as I remember them. Planning to have some chicken tenders tonight for dinner, but beyond that, I'll have to work little harder to make a solid plan. This is Round 8, so I should know what to do by now... LOL. Yes, I'm doing hhcg this time around as it seems to have worked well for me in the past.

Have a great week everyone, and happy losing!

Hoping all are staying strong. Mindset is so important. I know when I am in a round, I have days were I feel like I could continue indefinitely, and other days when I feel like "will this ever be over". Needless to say, those days are much harder to get through. So positive thoughts to you and realize its just a few more days then on to eating all the good stuff.

I wake up daily thankful that I get to eat "the good stuff". Summer produce---always amazing.

Well, P2D3 and down 1.4lbs. YAY! Went shopping yesterday and stocked up on apples, strawberries, salads and veggies. I am ready! I had forgotten the sense of elation you get when you step on the scale and see a lower number - so gratifying! Also, my pants are looser this morning, so that's always a good sign. I'm prepared to stick it out to Day 38, transition and then spend the weekend with some very good friends. I'm sure I'll be able to stick to P3 foods over the weekend because these friends are tuned into Low Carb from many years ago.

Have a great losing day everyone!

Happy Friday everyone, and Happy Fall.
Finally, the weather is starting to cool back down. In the 50's last night and if we open windows at night and early morning, no need for the A/C. Keeps the electric bill in control!

So, down 0.6 this morning. Starting to get back into the swing of things again, foodwise. Not hungry, but had the munchies a bit yesterday. I ate my dinner chicken tender early and that seemed to settle it and I wasn't tempted to go grab something else... Also, the neighbor came over with her kids for a fund raiser to fund their field trips. Signed up for some Otis Spunkmeyer frozen dough to bake. Fortunately, it won't be delivered until November some time :-) Also, you can bake only 3 or 4 at a time, so they're fresh. Purchased the flavors that DH likes and I don't really care for (oatmeal), so I should be able to avoid temptation. This is life, you're constantly having to deal with stuff like this. Hoping that I've pretty much learned to deal with it...

Anyway, off to do my Friday chores and prepare for the weekend. We're not expecting company or anything, so I just need to focus on me and getting that scale down to where my pants fit loose again. Have a great weekend everyone!
