Thread: Whats on your HCG kick-that-bucket-to-the-curb list?

  1. #13
Old thread, I know, but I will NOT miss wearing the same 3-4 pieces over and over, because everything else makes me look fat!

I will not miss wearing tunics, to cover my abdominal fat, instead of tucked - in shirts with nice belts!

I will not miss that troll I used to see in the mirror - I am so glad to have gotten "my" body back!

    I will not miss:

not being able to fit into small spaces!

shopping in the Plus Size department. (Isn't it amazing how some stores put the Petite department right NEXT TO the Plus department - that's just cruel!)

being used as "ballast" in the ski boat.

constantly being on a diet (and still not losing weight).

This reminds me of how much I don't miss ultra baggy clothes. I finally have a nice shape and if I put on something baggy, all those bad feelings I had when I was fat and puffy and didn't have any other choice come flooding back.

I just took a beautiful rayon sweater back to the store because it made me look shapeless. I wore that shapeless look for decades. I don't ever want to go back to it.

I'm that same way. I don't wear tunics or anything that is not fitted or belted. I'm proud of my hourglass figure and small waist and have worked too hard to get them to hide them.

And then there are some extra loose stylish pieces that were meant for fit ladies (i.e makes big people look even bigger) like overalls/rompers. I surely want to rock one, with a nice belt all day long.

Oh, I have one to add- a couple of months ago, I was trying on some blouses and realized I don't need to focus primarily on looking thinner. My choices don't need to be flattering- I can wear a ruffled collar or a boxy dress or whatever, and even if it visually did add a few pounds, I still just look like a person who likes ruffles or boxy dresses- not "fat in this."

    So amazing.

I can't wait to shop out of my closet again. I gained about 15 lbs over the few holiday months. About 15 lbs to go. (and then ultimately 15 more). I bought some cute jeans from Express (size 10) that fit but very snug. Can't wait to try those on again in a week and see how they fit!

I had a tummy tuck/breast lift exactly one year after my last round . The tummy tuck recovery was the most painful thing I've ever experienced , but also the best thing I've ever done for myself. Three years later, my tummy is still flat as a board and my scar is very low and minimally noticeable. I can wear just about anything tight fitting that I want to, and it looks great. I would do it all over again in a minute including going through the first couple of weeks of excruciating pain.

    It's definitely worth it!!!!

I know this is an old thread, but I think its a great idea - to keep motivated and encouraged...

I will be so glad to get rid of and/or I will be so happy when:

    1. My fear of being slim and sexy is gone... so I can live my life fully and not be afraid of being attractive, fit, healthy etc.,
    2. Like others, the dreaded chub rub is gone, that prevents me from wearing skirts unless I wear them with footless spanks, shorts or nylons
    3. I can feel like I can stop apologizing or explaining why I weighed as much as I did...
    4. I can feel good in my clothes again, proud of how I look
    5. I can stop feeling like I am embarrassing my husband by how I look. This is all me, he's never said a word and loves me no matter what. But I have felt this way for years, that I am letting him down, that people wonder why is he with me, when I look this way etc.,
    6. That I will again start doing things, engaging in life, go to events etc,. because I'm not embarrassed at how I look or how I will represent my husband or myself at functions.

I think that's it for now....
