    Back again and I'm sorry...

Hi Wonderful and Supportive HCG Forum,

So some of you may remember last year I was heading full force into short rounds, cycling and unique ideas that were not part of the Original Protocal. I did initially do rather well and the weight came off easily and I maintained for a couple of months...(note the word, couple..). After not following the correct steps weight seemed to cling to me and piled back on. This is when I started to become concerned. It became harder to keep it off and the scales would bounce around each day with no consistentcy.

    - Fast forward to June 9th 2021 when I had pretty much ended up back at my original weight I started at in Jan 2020. This makes me frustrated because I only have myself to blame.

    - I also wanted to apologise to those senior and other forum members who gave sage advice that I should have taken. There's no other way to say it, other than; YOU ARE RIGHT!!

Soooo...after my long winded introduction and explanation. I currently am not working in an intensive job nor does it require me to prepare food and I can pick my own hours too. I have decided to do the ultimate and attack a 40 day round to get myself back to a 'safe zone' which should set me up for success to complete a following round during september/ october.

I have set my sights on getting under 105kg initally with a tough longer term goal of being under 90kg. For my size and height I should be reasonably happy at this point. However, I am keeping my focus on the present day and not letting my thoughts getting away.

For those of you, who have completed a 40 day round what would you say the best thing you did to help you get through it? and What would you say is the hardest part or rather days of?

I'll be posting mostly everyday on this forum and using it as an accountability tool. I have also told my flat mates about the diet, so they are supporting me. Even if they don't quite understand it.

I'm not sure anyone really understands the magic that happens when you follow the protocol, but there is definitely some going on.

Welcome back, and I am sad for you that you basically have to start all over again. That is a heavy mental burden. But the good news is that the HCG protocol works, so you can be confident that success is achievable. When I think of all the crazy diets I have been on that were so much harder to do and gave such pitiful results (and none of any losses were sustainable even for a short time for me), I continue to be so thankful I found this wonderful tool.

The hardest part of the 40 day rounds for me are the last 3 weeks, where I typically lose around a pound a week. Seldom more than 2. That makes it seem to drag on interminably.

The things that got me through were noticing the obvious changes in my body and clothes even when the scale wasn't moving, and just embracing the decision to do it renewed each day. Self-talk, like I can do this TODAY, or even I can do this for this next meal. I would always try to make my meals from fresh foods, and not make myself eat things I didn't like (even in the limited P2 choices), so I was able to enjoy eating each day. That was a key for me, that kept me out of diety thinking.

My best advice is to trust the protocol, don't try to tweak or manipulate it to increase losses, embrace any stalls as your body regrouping for the next loss, and try to find a place of peace as you work through the calendar.

    Hi,

Just wanted to say that for me this has been a Long process. Losing weight is one part, I am still figuring out the maintenance part also. A few things that help me are:

    1. Talk nicely to yourself. That is a good habit to get into.

    2. I really like Leez's Loading group.

    3. Lovely Losers is another very supportive group.

    4. There are many supportive groups on the forum, posting, learning, and reading keeps me in the right mind set.

    5. Take some vitamins and supplements. That helps me in a round.

    6. When people ask I would say that I am doing an elimination diet. It is pretty true as I learned a lot when I added things back in P3, and not being hungry helped me to focus on my "non hunger eating issues I didn't realize I had " in P2. People just generally don't understand, and over cocktails I really don't want to hear (usually overweight people or genetically blessed people) sharing their diet advice while I am drinking sparkling water...

    7. I will often claim "my stomach is not my friend right now" when I order simple things in a restaurant, or at a party. It keeps away questions, and people are happy to change the subject.

    8. This is controversial. I have found a "Planned Interruption" during my rounds helps. Something always seems to come up, and it gives me a chance to practice P3 eating which is easier on a trip, etc. If I slip up on a Planned Interruption (PI) it doesn't matter as much. Also, during a long round the first week back a PI kicks my losses back up the first week back to almost week one P2 again. But I need to really talk myself back into finishing the round, many people don't finish the round, and you must have 23 effective doses, so I never do them before day 26 just to be safe....

    I hope that helps!

    Wishing you good success!
    RK

Gastro--not much I could add to what Leez and Rk wrote--pretty much said it all. No need for apologies, most of us are back, for one reason or another. But the good thing about hcg protocol, it still works! That's the beauty of it! Good luck!

Thank you all for your wonderful advice. There’s definitely some great nuggets in there. I particularly love referring it to as an elimination diet!

I’m doing some planning ahead for my loading and am aiming to be as clean as possible but with a couple treats thrown in there. More to come soon Back again and I'm sorry...

    Enjoy your loading days!

I'll post my starting weight tomorrow but Tomorrow is my first day of loading. Staying true to my word and focusing on good fats with limited carbs. Previous rounds I've gone a bit to carb heavy and not been as successful during the loading process. Starting out with the favourites, eggs bacon and avocado for breakfast!

I'm completing (not the word completing) a full 40 day round plus 3 days for transition and 2 days loading. I've never done a long round before so it will be interesting to see how my body reacts to it. I'm very much looking forward to feeling empty...ie. not feeling as full or stuffed as I have been lately. I've not planned p3 yet but I have been investigating HCG CHICKA and her p3 to life program. More on this later

Good luck! I purchased her on-line program, but frankly, never us it. I've used these forums to sorta keep me focused. But it is definitely option. I love her workbooks, I used those on my rounds to record daily weights, and food intake on P2s

Oh nice @Dubbles. I’ll keep those in mind. There is a lot of information (free and paid) and can often be hard to decide what is worth it!

    So my starting weight:

    127.5kg or 280.5 lbs - 1st Loading Day.

I will also post some measurements once I find my tape measure.

I have a number I’d like to hit for this round but I’m not getting too overzealous. I’d rather just trust my body and trust the process. I will be weighting myself everyday, but have promised myself that day to day fluctuations won’t bother me. Particularly as I do tend to retain a fair bit of water at times.

Gastro-good luck on your journey. As mrsstrong is starting a new round on the same time line--y0u will have a wonderful comate on your hcg journey. She is very knowledgeable and encouraging, so that is good. Maybe more will join in for P2. Even if lots don't post, you can be sure there are people out there who are reading, following along, and they will benefit from your posts and observations. All on these sites are wishing you well and hoping the best for you on your journey. And it has to be a journey, not just a destination that you reach. Seriously, during the journey I have learned so much about how my body reacts to foods and even how good healthy foods and habits are for me. And this year was not my first time with hcg. My first time was in 2010. But honestly, I learned more since January than ever learned 10-11 years ago. Good luck! If you find yourself bored and wanting more info than current forums, I encourage you to go back and read older threads--I did that, and it helped me stay motivated.
