Thread: Back again and I'm sorry...

Day 33 (Final day without HCG)

    Weight: 114.4kg/ 251.68lbs

Woke up feeling very water logged. I drank too much yesterday and my body just didn’t handle it well. Happy to be transitioning to P3. Feeling like this round has been so good but need to finish. I’m doing a big stock up for food tomorrow. Won’t buy too much though. I’ve realised I don’t actually need as much food as I thought. This is always something I’ll always be monitoring though.

    Onwards and upwards,

    Roscoe.

Got the first whipping of jealously coming through today...I was really excited by my 15kg loss (well 14.9kg, but close enough) and I was excited to tell my flat mate about it. She got very nasty very quickly saying its because I wasn't eating right and not having breakfast etc...It hurt just a little bit because I've worked hard on this diet and all I wanted was to share some good news. I did fire back and she backed off a little bit, but it was still quite tense. She has her own issues with weight so possibly I touched a nerve of hers. Anyway, you can't change people, you can only change yourself...I hate how people can't be happy for others, I so wish this diet was not so wildly chastised so it could be shared easier.

I guess a lesson has been learnt...don't share...I've had this lesson a few times, but it hurts everytime.

Anyway, I have almost finished my meal plan and shopping list for P3. I will be meal prepping Tuesday afternoon so that will exciting.

    Signing off, a little deflated...

I stopped telling people about how I lost and keep all my weight off (and look better than I did 30 years ago), when I noticed I received lots of "shade", skepticism, and snide remarks. Most of them claimed to be proud of being BBW's -Big Beautiful Women and had no interest in losing weight, but are still envious of my ability to wear and look good in the clothes that they can't.

Now when they compliment me about how great I look, I just say thank you and keep it moving. .

I hope your P3 is going great! Last week I pushed my luck by drinking vodka for 2 consecutive nights and paid the price dearly. My last weigh in before my 2nd night of drinking was 127.2lbs, for 2 days I stayed at 128.4 then 128.2. I'm just getting back on track as I weigh in, 126.4 today. But I think I needed that lesson to remind me how crucial staying on track is. I hope you continue your strong will until P4!!!!!

Macymas!! I 100% relate to paying the price! I'm glad to hear you could correct pretty quickly My P3 was going well until this morning, I got a bit over zealous with food yesterday and also thought I deserved a few glasses of (exceptional wine). This was not a good idea. I've ended up at 116.9kg - 3kg over my LDW of 113.9kg. However I am confident that most of that is bloating, I also added in too many new foods yesterday. I am doing a fast today to see if that gets it back down otherwise I will try a steak day tomorrow. Not beating myself up too much, but am keeping myself accountable and making notes of what seems to give me grief. I have a feeling peanut butter is the culprit! Anyway, keep me updated on your journey too. Its so exciting living in our 'new' bodies!

    Quick update:

Back down to 114.3kg only .400gm above LDW. Feeling much better today. Still adjusting to not having as much food. Been sticking to salads. Interestingly enough haven’t missed carbs.

Nuts can cause weight gain in P3 And peanuts are a legume and not a nut so usually they do not recommend eating this on P3 I have in the past but switched to sugarnfree almond butter after reading about peanuts

Thanks for the helpful tip, Rose! Definitely think they were the culprit.

I'm glad your steak day worked!! What are your current food staples? I hope you are being inventive and creative with your salads as they can get annoying in the long run LOL I'm currently in love Apple Slaw and assorted greens with strawberry vinaigrette.
I woke up with a 3 lb. weight gain from 124 to 127 over night!!! My period was scheduled to start I didnt realize I'm delayed!!! But they say it's normal during hcg so I'm not worried yet LOL. Keep us posted on your updates!!!

Oh yummy! Strawberry Vinigarette sounds delicious. Its not yet strawberry season in New Zealand so am eagerly awaiting it! Only 3 Months to go, and I'm definitely going to add an apple to my slaw!

My current go to lunch salad (which honestly tends to be dinner as well, I feel really nourished from it).

    - 200gm Chicken/ Lamb/ Beef (all slow cooked with spices)
    - Cabbage
    - Spring Onions
    - Coriander
    - Roasted Nuts
    - Plant based yogurt
    - Mung Beans
    - Snow peas
    - a good low sugar hot sauce.
    - Avocado

I whip all of this up and add some dairy free cheese. I honestly get to 8pm and I'm still not hungry. I tend to eat this around 1/2pm. I've been having a protein shake around 10am to keep me satisfied in the morning. I have been stocking up when meat is on special at the supermarket and then just popping it all in the slower cooker for about 4 hours. I bag it up and boom...protein ready to go.

I have been practicing listening to my body and trying to not make snap decisions. I have made a point to stay hydrated as this helps me avoid confusion as sometimes I was thirsty but mistook it for hunger.

    UPDATE 9/8/21

    Weight: 115kg/ 253lbs

    + 1.1kg from LDW

I am back from a weekend away with my family. I did forget my scales so I just listened to my body and despite a few indulgences (and a few wines). I am pretty much on track with my weight. I am cutting back a tad this week to get back down to 113.9kg but I was really happy that I managed not to have a massive swing in weight though. My body is continuing to reshape and I'm looking really great...I do need to get some pants taken in though! They started to fall down .

    Update

    Weight: 115kg

    Up +1.1kg from LDW

Staying really consistent on my P3. Weight seems to be remaining consistent despite being up a 1kg from LDW, but not too worried about that. I have been staying true to mostly salads for lunch. Dabbled with adding in more nuts to my diet next, but we shall see. I am finding I'm not eating as much at night. I seem to be down to a snack around 6/7pm and then thats me for the night. The snack will usually be half an avocado with olive oil or some nut butter on celery. I have been very ocasionally eating breakfast but I honestly don't feel like my body needs it. I had a couple of eggs and 3 pieces of bacon this morning and felt stuffed. Left me feeling sluggish.

@mrsstrong - How are things with you? Is your PI almost finished? Macymas - How's things looking for you?

    Onwards and Upwards,

    Roscoe
